Located right where Hwy 46 joins US 101, this restaurant is in a strip mall with decent parking. The other food spots in the same lot are all under the same ownership, yet offer a variety of food options. While Tortilla Town is not much to look at, the place is clean and has a few picknick benches outside where you can scarf down your burrito. The food is alright, think of it as a better Chipotle or Qdoba. Staff is usually friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable. Great food on the go. read more

I rarely come here because it's just not what it used to be. Small portions, unseasoned meat, and the customer service is so low. Went in today to get a burrito and had to wait for employees to finish their conversation to order. Worker added rice without me asking and then proceeded to just scoot it off the burrito. I really like Tortilla Town and genuinely enjoy the food, which makes this review disappointing to write. Unfortunately, our recent experience with customer service wasn't great. We arrived about 25 minutes before the posted closing time, and the "Open" sign was still on. Although we could see employees inside cleaning, the doors were locked. We stood outside for a bit, and multiple employees looked at us but didn't acknowledge us or explain anything. It felt like they were trying to close early without saying so. If the restaurant needed to close earlier, that's understandable -- but communication matters. Being ignored left a bad impression. I still love the food and hope this was just an off night, but customer service really impacts the overall experience. Tortilla Town was among the many eateries (Pizza, BBQ, Chicken, etc.) available in this small food court in Paso Robles. It offers street tacos style with a twist. You can choose the proteins, condiments, and sauces to build your own tacos. Their prices are very reasonable. 2 tacos for $11.99. I made 2 chicken and 1 carnitas tacos. They were delicious and with a nice kick too. They also have Gorditas, burritos, salads, etc. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and very generous with the portions. A little warning. Honestly disappointed. I'd give it a 5/10, and that's mostly because the garnish had decent flavor and they were quick with the service. Everything else was super mid sloppy put together , bland overall, and way overpriced. Feels like they're surviving off hotel and gas station traffic more than repeat customers. Stopped here on my way home from Pismo and the food was terrible. I got the Gordita's one was pastor and the meat had zero flavor, unseasoned. The other choice meat was carnitas which was not your authentic meat. This was boiled and more like shredded pork. The Gordita's were super dry. I emptied my meat and ate that alone with the toppings. As I got in my car I felt very nauseous I almost threw up. I don't recommend this place at all. Service was okay. My Bf got the burrito with carne asada, rice, pinto beans, cheese, and salsa. I got the salad with grilled chicken, black beans, cheese, and salsa. Chicken was well grilled and not overly salty~ My Bf burrito was huge~ but with full of flavor from meat, beans, and rice. Salsa here is pretty spicy with fresh flavor. I was in today. I go in and pickup for my husband and I twice a week on average. They, as with most that's had price increases. This isn't my complaint. My husband gets their off menu burrito bowl. Always chicken with black beans, no rice. Since he gets no rice I always ask for an extra half-scoop of beans to sub for no rice. Tonight as only the second time in 10 years I've been charged for extra beans. I asked why and I got "sorry". So, I said, I'll take the rice on the side since I paid for it plus the extra beans. At checkout they not only charge me $2 (was $1.25 last time)for a scoop of beans, I'd say a couple oz. max, but also charge me over $3 for the side of rice! Then I kept getting "Is that all" from the checker. I'm a regular of at least 10,years and have never been treated this way. I had them remake the bowl with the rice. Got home and the bag of chips I ordered was missing. First time I've ever been and given no tip. If it's a language barrier then they need a clear English speaker running the checkout. Every time I go in here, I always tell myself I'm not going back. Then I forget and wind up back in there wasting way too much money for what I end up getting. Today I saw that the burrito was $10.49, and asked if it included meat which they said yes it does. And asked Which one did I want. Carne Asada, when I got up to the register, they charged me extra for meat. The burrito ended up being $14 and some change. what little bit of steak was in there was inedible--filled with hard gristle. All of this really wouldn't be quite as bad if the people better in there, and if there were a lot less flies.
