Got the blondie matcha that came with miso, cookie butter and some other stuff. Very pretty layers but did not taste good. If your expecting any level of sweetness since it's a flavored matcha your mistaken. Tasted like watered down matcha with occasional chunks of cookie butter barely making it up the straw.

Normally not a fan of coffee chains but blank street does a great job of introducing fun flavors to bring the crowd in! The line was out the door when i arrived but it moved quickly. The lemon loaf was strong but huge fan of the blondie!

Unfortunately I think smearing a goo in an iced drink is insane so it's a no. Ican't mix this I only have a straw so I'm just going to throw it away

I absolutely love blank street. Honestly made a day trip to DC because I was craving their matcha. They always have the best specialty / seasonal flavors. I ordered the banana bread matcha with oat milk because I had heard good things and it was delicious! I'm not a chugger usually but this matcha was gone in a blink. The line was not super long when I went and the cashier was friendly and fast with taking my order. The matcha is on the sweeter side, so if you like that it's perfect for you. One thing though is the more I drank the matcha, the less flavor it had - which may be attributed to the ice melting or my taste buds just getting used to the flavor haha. Still good though! Seating inside is limited but there were some people studying and chatting. It is a little cramped and loud so I wouldn't recommend studying here but a coffee hangout would be cute here!

matcha flavor is nonexistent but if u know me.... i love sugar anyways :PPP.... BRING BACK THE PEANUT BUTTER MATCHA RAAAAAAAAH. it's SO good it quite literally tastes like peanut butter and jelly milk im not even joking. AND THE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE MATCHA???? dude idk how they managed to give it that vanilla sponge cake flavor along with the strawberry. that's what makes blank street so unique... the way they can upscale "strawberry" or "banana" flavors to "strawberry shortcake" or "banana bread" and give the drinks such DISTINCT dessert notes. just know its not gonna taste just like the fruit. don't go for the matcha per say but go for the insane flavors they can pull out and just surprise you. MY DRINK LITERALLY TASTES LIKE CAKE MMMMMM

The service was okay. Two employees walked by the register, looked at me, ignored me, and went to the back. One of them came back and took my order. The interior is small and the trash was overflowing at the door. I ordered an iced pistachio latte with no opportunity to select my milk preference. The beverage had no pistachio taste. It was just an iced coffee. So many better coffee shops options in DC, you gotta stand out.

Other reviews mentioned that the servers here are no nonsense - and they're quite right. Don't expect a warm or friendly greeting or order intake. Baristas are efficient (though sometimes not very accurate). They made me a matcha instead of an iced coffee and had to remake it. I had an iced daydream latte with whole milk and it was fine. Chocolate croissant was good but I don't think they're made in house.

I come here with my coworkers about once a week since it's a short walk from our office. Blank Street's matcha is the perfect afternoon treat to get me through the afternoon. I enjoy trying their new seasonal flavors, but me and my friends' go-to is the strawberry shortcake matcha. It is divine! I will say that sometimes the drinks are hit or miss based on who's working that day--we can usually tell when someone is new. Drinks are on the pricier side but I look forward to getting them so much that the price doesn't matter to me. I tried the Banana Bread matcha that launched yesterday, and was pretty disappointed with it, I didn't taste banana at all. Will be back soon to try the carrot cake matcha!

Got a rocky road latte and a strawberry shortcake matcha for pick up order through the Blank Street Coffee mobile app. The rocky road latte at 50% sweetness was still sweet. The strawberry shortcake matcha was extremely sweet. I don't think anyone should be drinking something like this in one sitting. As far as the flavors, both were massively disappointing. I would recommend the rocky road latte more than the strawberry shortcake one. Many businesses are so hyped up about matcha these days, but I don't think there are many placed that make matcha right. They both tasted very artificial. The service was quick and pick up was easy. It was quite busy inside when I went on a Sunday. Small space with limited seating as it is more meant for pick up and go.

Salted pistachio matcha was delicioussss. Perfect amount of sweet but not overbearing. I usually go for classic matches because the seasonal flavors are a lot but this was perfect. I would absolutely recommend and get it again This location is cozy, small and tucked away. The service was fast for a weekend and we were in and out in no time

This is a cute little cafe and it was packed when I stopped by! I tried the strawberry shortcake matcha while the matcha flavor is subtle, the drink itself is delicious! If you are looking for authentic matcha drink, this might not be the best choice but if you want something fruity and refreshing, definitely give it a try! FYI the stawrberry shortcake matcha is a limited time flavor so not sure how long it will be available!

First time in DC. place was cute i could envision people getting work done there. but their matcha was very watered down and not flavorful enough.

This was my first time visiting a Blank Street Coffee. First thing I noticed was that the music was slappin'. Rhianna was playing, convos flowing and the smell of coffee made this place catch my interest as soon as I walked in. Listen-the Daydream Latte is the way to go! It is absolutely delicious. I wish there was a Blank Street location closer to me. Until then, I have to figure out how to semi-replicate this latte. It's full of flavor. The cinnamon adds a nice touch. I loved the latte so much I had ti let the barista know.

This time we had our baby and I wasn't impressed with the lack of sides or anything to get for her. We asked for two eggs scrambled with cheese but were told we'd have to buy an egg prosciutto sandwich for $11 and tell them we didn't want any of the items. Um, no. The tuna sandwich asked for lettuce and told can't add lettuce. My husband asked for something not on his lamb pita, same story. Oh well. No customization at all, no subs. Makes business easier, but not as attractive for price point for customers. I'll remember to keep it to coffee and pastries from now on. Chicken pita was good, a bit heavy on the parsley but loved the dressing. Tuna sandwich was a hit. Pastries are always good. My pistachio latte was chewy bc it had grainy bits of pistachio in it. Not to my liking. $70 for three sandwiches, two coffees and two cookies.
