I love that the inside is so large at this location! Great for doing any type of computer work or meeting friends. I ordered a chai to see knowing it's a mixed and it wasn't that bad. I added vanilla to see if it would be too sweet but it wasn't and I liked the flavor. The energy drink mix is also yummy! Reminds me of Dutch bros. I haven't tried the coffee yet so don't take these stars for the coffee but overall it was good along with the service which was so friendly.

I had a terrible experience at the San Tan Mall Black Rock location yesterday.. this one was closer to my rental anyways and I needed something to give me energy. I got one of their Festive Fuel Energy Drinks, and it was delicious. More importantly, the girl who took my order actually seemed like she wanted to be there. Yay -- being nice is priceless. I'll be back.

Well, Black Rock Coffee Bar has opened another new location. All the usual suspects are present. Irish coffee, blackout, caramel blondie, Mexican Mocha, caramel truffle and cold brew are all featured. Today being the grand opening BR will make any medium coffee you'd like for $2.00! I like the dual garage windowed doors that are open to create a larger space. A clean interior/exterior and fresh air make it inviting for customers to sit and enjoy for a while. Inside/outdoor tables and seating are available. The friendly staff and NO line up made this visit awesome! The two guys who were hired to direct opening day drive thru traffic are just as surprised as I am at the lack of activity at 12:10pm. It is great for customers though!

R-O-C-K in the USA Black Rock rocks! Literally and figuratively. The music is blaring loud in here. Kinda felt like I'm at a bar or lounge. So if you're in the clubbing mood this will fit the vibe. Plus, you have plenty of sugar and caffeine at the ready to get pumped up. In short, this would not be the best place to study or have a conversation unless you plan on using sign language. But who has conversations these days anyways? People just sit together on their phones. Your salvation is a patio space to sit outside, but summer months would be unforgiving. CHILLER- love these frozen blended drinks. They rival the Frappuccino and on some days, better. They are smooth and creamy and well blended with no big chunks of ice lingering. Chillers rock my tastebuds! There was only one person taking orders at the counter. But drinks were being pumped out faster than you can say, How many black rocks could a black rock, rock, if a black rock could rock rocks. The lines was long due to people not being ready once they get to the cashier. Yep, those people. However, the queuing seemed to be very efficient and with no drink errors from what I observe while I was there.

Atmosphere: Music was a good volume- not too high to have a conversation and study. Wood decor/ motif looks nice and the neon sign is a cool touch. Service: Barista was nice and quick on the order :) Drink: I got a nitro cold brew. Fairly decent - although I expect that their additions (chocolate, caramel, etc) are probably their strong suit - I just usually drink coffee black.

The barista was patient as I took forever deciding between all the fun drink options! The decoration was super cute: very light/airy and wood accents, just like you'd imagine in a casita! I'm a big Cortado guy and they have one prominently on the menu. We've been here a few times and each time my wife's flavored latte is quite lovely, but would it be if it wasn't iced? The service is pleasant, the cafe itself is clean and cute, they have a restroom for patrons. But when it comes to pouring a Cortado, they don't know how to do it. It's just some steamed milk dumped on espresso in a paper cup. Any time a barista puts a cap on your cup (paper cups are generally a bad sign, but some are very good, but still not as good as glass cup poured versions) it's clear they intend to hide the lack of microfoam head, the art itself is how you build this drink. The pastries are great. I've wanted to like this place really because of the story, but if you're really into espresso there are so many better options than Cosita.

Everything about it just feels right -- the vibe, the people, and especially the food. You can tell they actually care. The staff is super welcoming and generous, not in a forced way, just genuinely good energy from the second you walk in. Food-wise, they don't miss. The honeycomb with cream cheese inside is insane -- sweet, rich, and something you don't really see anywhere else. The Dubai chocolate latte is a must-try too, super smooth and indulgent without being over the top. The beef samosas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the chocolate pistachio croissant is easily one of the best pastries I've had in a while. Honestly, every time I go I end up trying something new and it's always solid. You can tell they put real thought into everything they serve. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.

My friend and I both ordered mediums with 75% sweetness, and it was the perfect drink for a hot, humid summer morning. Sweet enough to feel like a treat without being over the top. I could probably put that on just about anything. The vibes are wonderful too. It's cozy, welcoming, and the kind of coffee shop where you want to linger with a friend for a while. My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.
