Went there with 2 of my coworkers for lunch today. All 3 of us got different items, lamb, chicken and beef kebabs. I had the beef and it was the driest beef I've ever had. The chicken and lamb were not much better (my coworkers let me try it). The one saving grace was the bread, but bread is not enough to redeem a $12 meal. We were at BK Khan last night with a team of 10 from my workplace. All ethinities and background. We tried to reserve but they dont take reservation post 6PM. Fahad (host) advised to be there before 6. We arrived at 5:45 and they accommodated us nicely. Food was fantastic. Very yummy and everyone loved it. Its not too spicy for non-Pakistani people. Perfect spice level. Also, the pricing is very reasonable. I also loved that they have a very nice and decorated prayer area. They also have a kids play area. Things to improve: a. Ordering the food has to be done from front counter. For a sit down restaurant, and for larger parties where people will order their own choice, getting 10 people to get up and lineup and order at front desk should be improved upon. Take order from the table please. b. They dont have a website. It is just the basics you need a website. Couple of team members didnt come due to that as in they felt it was not a proper place. c. After hearing so much about BK Khan and having very high expectations from our experiences in Houston, we finally made it out to tonight for my dad's birthday to BK Khan! Despite it being a Wednesday night, the restaurant was still very busy. But it definitely wasn't a disappointment! The venue is nice, clean and well kept. The Barbecue items were SOO GOOD, it felt like we were in Houston. The puri parathas were fresh and delicious and the bihari boti and bihari boti roll were both excellent. The chicken tikka was also super juicy and delicious. The owner was very kind and walked around the restaurant and specially asked us how we liked everything. Great service and great food. The only downside is the WAIT! Over 40 minutes of wait for food, which was surprising considering the Bundu Khan in Houston has such a quick turnaround time. Just dined at BK Khan BBQ. Have driven by numerous times and seen the crowded parking, so decided to stop in. This is not a Texas BBQ. It is an Indo Pak BBQ restaurant. On a Friday evening, we were the only non Indian Pakistani diners, so the place seemed authentic. The menu is limited, but sufficient. Beef, chicken, lamb, a few veggie dishes and handmade breads. Beware of the spices. The medium spice level is way hotter than a typical Tex Mex jalapeño/Serrano salsa. This is very different spice heat. It takes 30 seconds to kick in, and keeps rising. We order the normal spicy chicken and beef kebabs., We finished off half gallon of ice water to deal with the heat. I do not have problems with Serrano or Árbol salsas, but the BBQ from this place really took it to another level The prices are fair, service is slow due to cooking time. Staff is busy yet mostly friendly. Food is good. If in the mood for authentic Indo Pak bbq, this just might be your place. But be prepared for the spice heat... read more

Today we went as a repeat customer. There was at least 45 minutes to close. Plenty of seats available. But they did not seat us saying that they were not seating anymore. This is the worst restaurant service I have ever seen. They advertise their closing time at 11pm. If they are doing to refuse seating customers at 10:15 then what on earth does 11pm mean? That they finish up mopping the floors by that time? I am a very regular restaurant goer. But will never ever step in this restaurant again. I hope that someone who knows someone who is involved with this restaurant is sharing feedback from Yelp, because it's got potential. The flavor on the beef boti and lamb as well as the chickpeas in the vegetarian meal were all great. There are issues though. It's a turn off to me when free tap water is not offered and a bottle with a charge is presented instead. I don't even know if they have tap water at this place. I agree with another reviewer that the small bowl of onions, cucumber, and one wedge of lime was confusing to someone not from the region where this cuisine originates. Do people just eat raw onion between bites? I didn't know what to do with it. Also, please put your chutneys in squeeze bottles like they have at American bbq places. It's very hard to use the oil dispenser bottles. I would like if a non-spicy option is available. My child eats from our plates and doesn't mind spice for flavor but cannot handle the heat. The loud screaming of the Kids ruined the total environment. Worst experience ever. Service is slow and the food was horrible. Many employees just standing around doing nothing. The people taking orders know nothing about the food and don't help with anything. After taking almost thirty minutes to place an order, it took almost an hour for the order to be ready. The restaurant was practically empty so there's no excuse for slow service like this. The food was ok; we went for a pre-paid buffet that cost $25. The service however is HORRENDOUS. The waitress yelled at us because- since drinks weren't included- she checked on us 3 times and each time someone from our party of 20 asked for a drink. "Ok, how many people here want drinks because I've come 3 times and every time someone has wanted a drink!" Either she fails to understand what her job entails or hasn't been trained at all by management. Newsflash: when you have a buffet, people in your party will be up at different times refilling their plates or getting things they forgot to try etc. The point of the buffet is to NOT have to check up on the customers, and if you're going to charge for drinks, the wait staff needs to be prepared that they will miss people on every round they come to check up on their customers. In addition, the air conditioning at BK Khan was either not working or not turned up enough and we were all dying. Much of the food that they advertised would be featured in the buffet wasn't. The food that was there wasn't horrible, but it was average. We've been here before and the a la carte food was a bit better but the service wasn't great then either; it was just at an all time low this visit.
