I was lucky to receive a recommendation from a stranger the night before and discovered this gem for myself. They do a wonderful 2 course (starter and main for €33) or 3 course (add dessert for €39). I highly recommend the octopus or foie gras (+€6) starters. If you cannot choose, you can add a 2nd starter for €14. The octopus is extremely tender and well prepared and seasoned, served over a toasted focaccia bread with a Mediterranean style tomato-olive-anchovy tapenade and micro-green salad. The foie gras has a surcharge but this will be one of the best you can get in Paris. It is a special recipe where the duck liver is gently braised or glazed in a red cherry wine. The texture is supple and flavorful. No hint of dryness. They serve it with a special red spice (anise?, cayenne?) from the south of France, as well as coarse salt so you can enhance the flavor profile as you see fit. The first 2 plates paired nice with a soft and smooth white Riesling from Alsace. Yelp photos of the crispy pork belly sold me before I arrived. The main dish did not disappoint and may be one of the best prepared crispy pork belly dishes I've ever had. The cut is 75% meat with reaches a perfect level of tenderness. The fat is well rendered and you get 3 textures, crispy top skin, a light layer of creamy fat, between a couple layers of tender braised pork. Cider vinegar roasted vegetables help to cut the fat and create a balanced flavor profile. The only thing I didn't care for was the thin cut sweet potato chips. They were crunchy and beautiful but they tasted like the fry oil need to be filtered or changed. They have a couple of desserts that caught my eye. There's a French toast that has been a mainstay on the menu for over 10 years. However, I got the chocolate passion namelaka which delivers chocolate 5 distinct ways. Your mouth will enjoy the adventure. These last 2 dishes paired well with a red Richaud cairanne from Rhône. Bon appetit!!!

Great little restaurant. Gourmet French food. We had appetizers and entree. They had an American menu and very friendly and spoke English.

First three course meal in Paris. It was great. They have English menu and the waiters are all friendly. All courses we ordered are surprisingly delicious. Great wine recommendation! 8/10

This restaurant is a great example of fine french cuisine. Service is quick impeccable. Atmosphere is cosy, almost intimate. The food is marvelously good.

A true gem to Paris! Perfect food for tourist to try the local cuisine at a fair price. A cozy place perfect for celebrations, intimate dates, with amazing staff! The fois gras was so flavorful and paired well with dressings! The chef was so kind and sent the tasting of the octopus starter to our table for us to try! The French toast was the perfect way to end the meal, the chocolate melted from the warm toast with the perfect amount of authentic sweetness. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome, awesome, awesome restaurant. Service: Two servers who both speak English very well. They were very helpful in explaining dishes in English since their menu is on a chalkboard. They were attentive to checking in with us, refilling our water and wine and were great a selecting a wine for us. Food: Awesome combination of flavors, plating and designing was beautiful, and we really enjoyed our meal from beginning to end. The best dessert I had in Paris during my week stay was here: the French Toast dessert. I could eat plates of that. Reservations are made 12 days in advance only through their website and be expected to reconfirm your reservations through email 2 - 3 day before. An email will be sent for you to recofirm, no need to contact restaurant. I am surprised by the reviews with lower stars, sorry that they had a disappointing time but this place offered me one of the best meals in Paris. I would dine here again in a heartbeart. Atmosphere: Very casual, jeans are fine. Very laid back. The menu changes once a month, approximately. I would definitely come here again, and highly recommend stopping by for a great experience. I have nothing negative to say about Bistrotters only that I wish I could dine here in the USA.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience at Bistrotters. Walking into Bistrotters feels like you're walking into someone's home. There are wooden tables and chairs throughout, with a wine bar at the entrance, a chalkboard menu, and books on the shelves. During the day, light floods the space through the windows that line the front of the store. The restaurant was cozy and chic, classy without putting on airs. I really couldn't imagine visiting Paris and not having a meal at this bistro. The food was beautifully presented, well-proportioned, and simply delicious. The service was kind, accommodating, and quick. Our meal - Vegetable tart: fresh and light, intricately dressed with shaved, crispy purple potatoes. Great combination of tastes and textures. Penny bun mushroom soup with boiled egg: impressive depth of flavor. Lamb: well-cooked and the vegetables adorning it were a nice touch. Pork belly: what a perfect dish, the crispy pork belly well accompanied with the rich sauce that I think has a hint of star anise. Chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet: a sweet end to a lovely meal, the decadent cocoa flavor smartly paired with the bright flavor of raspberry. I recommend this bistro to anyone telling me they're visiting Paris and they always come back to me with gratitude and rave reviews. An absolute must if you're lucky enough to visit Paris.

Intimate, curated, special, these are the words evoked by this little gem of a restaurant. The menu embellishes on the French classics, elevating them and providing the sort of dining experience your bread and butter foodie hopes for in a gastronomic free for all such as Paris. On the menu tonight was a veal chop served with Salsify, yes salsify, an edible plant as uncommon as dragon's blood in the U.S. Also, pork belly, perfectly roasted and served in a sauce as delicate as liquified silk. There shortly followed a dessert of pineapple Charlotte and a caramel and chocolate French toast that left my sugar craving son in a state of ephemeral bliss. Harmony of flavor, of design, of presentation appeared to be paramount at Bistrotters and this was clearly evident. Bistrotters leaves a delicious stain that cannot easily be washed away. Can't wait for our next visit.

Our first courses! Vegetable tart in the back. Mushroom soup in the front.

Let me start by saying that this was the best service by far that we have received in Europe this trip. We arrived for lunch at 12:45 and was greeted by one if the owners. He was so nice and happy to see us. He kindly explained the menu to us and even brought us an English menu. We decided to go with the 2 course menu. Starter and entree. I got the mushroom soup with fried, soft boiled, egg. It was Devine. My wife got the vegetable tart. She loved it. Main course I got, at the recommendation of the gentleman helping us, the seared ahi with noodles. It was amazing. My wife had the pork belly. It was so good. Root vegetables and braised pork belly. All in all we would definitely go again next time we are in Paris.

Food is not bad but it doesn't quite meet our expectations. The service was impressive, they treated us as if we were dinning in a 2 stars Michelin restaurant. There were only about 8-10 tables and almost 70% of the customers dinning there were tourists on that evening. The price is very reasonable.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

There are two tables essentially in the kitchen (a true "Chef's Table" arrangement) and maybe 6 tables in the adjoining room. We were welcomed warmly. Deborah was the hostess and server. Chef Hugo is visible in the kitchen, working very hard to make everything just perfect. They brought bread immediately (my husband loved the sliced baguette--it was perfect and chewy as it should be, but not hard). We ordered a bottle of wine, a Macon Villages, which was perfect. I had the cucumber salad appetizer, which was so fresh. My husband ordered the ravioli appetizer--tiny little rectangles in a scrumptious sauce--a work of art. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate. The sauce was amazing and it was a huge portion of tender white fish. My husband had the lamb with frites. It was nicely seasoned & perfectly done. For dessert, my husband enjoyed a chocolate treat and I had refreshing raspberry sorbet. Deborah was so friendly and solicitous throughout the meal. I have never felt so well taken care of. (I have seen some comments from people who are unhappy that they can't just walk in. They don't appear to understand that there is only one seating. People arrive when they do and they linger. Empty tables seen from the street do not mean the place is not fully booked. Make a reservation well ahead of time. It is worth it!)
