Tartar le beouf

This place was in the neighborhood of our Airbnb and we wanted to stop for a snack. This place is chill, first time trying beef tartare which was really good. It consists of raw ground beef with dill, among other ingredients. The cured meats platter was also delish. If in the neighborhood stop by this place and chill.

Unlike my previous experience I walked a bit and found this little corner busy cafe. Open glass view seating both street side and inside. They only have a couple of waitresses that are also cashiers but they managed the busy crowed.. the young lady greeted me in French but then spoke in English to help me with the menu. They have the popular raw beef tar tar which she suggested but I was not feeling quite that adventurous knowing I had to get back to the states tomorrow on a long flight lol. I settled on the Cesar salad which was good but heavy on the dressing which in America had a very mayonnaise almost honey mustard Taste. But large strips of chicken breast and like a thick balsamic drip and thick parmesan slivers with fresh croutons made it great and very filling. I of course topped it off with a coffee and the Mi-Cuit Au Chocolat ( chocolate molten cake) which was a delight. I hope they read this because I very much appreciate the fast service and they kindness. I travel all over the world and there is nothing worse than not feeling welcome when your hungry ! They were a little pricy for a salad type lunch & coffee ( euros) 27.90 however this seems in line with most food here in Paris. Stop by and see then it's a nice selection of food starters and main course.

Croquettes

It was raining pretty hard last night, so we wanted to eat pretty close to our hotel rather than venture too far in the downpour. We also needed to find a cafe that offered "service continu", since we were eating on the early side for Paris (6pm) after getting up at 3am to catch a flight out of Italy and spending the day running around Paris. Les P'tites Indécises fit the bill, on all fronts! I ordered some croquettes to start, and a cheeseburger for dinner. My family liked the croquettes (as did I!), and their meals as well: steak tartare, gnocchi with basil sauce (heads up, it's not green pesto, but tasty!), and another cheeseburger. Some tips: the cheeseburger ordered medium came out nearly raw. Perhaps a mistake in the kitchen, but my experience in France after two trips has been that anything less than medium well comes to the table this way. If you like your red meat cooked with little to no pink, verify when you order it. Also, the cheeseburgers here are served with gruyere cheese, grilled onions, a mayo-type house sauce, and a whole red pepper. I thought it was delicious, but some may not. Ask for modifications, or take things off if you'd like. Also, the fries here are yum!! Service was good, and typical (they're friendly, and plenty of English is spoken, but no one is going to check on you every 3 minutes like they annoyingly do at chain restaurants in America). I would come back and recommend.

Grilled steak with fries and salad

My husband and I came to Les P'tites Indecises for dinner on our first night in Paris. The waitress was super super friendly and we absolutely loved her personality. She was also super helpful in translating the menu in English and giving us tips of how to tip in France! Now onto the food, we ordered: Grilled steak- this entree comes with fries and salad. The steak was cooked "medium" which was filled with all sorts of juice! My husband thought it was great. I, however, thought it was just okay. For me, it was lacking the flavor. Lamb- my husband ordered this dish and said it was good! I had some of his mash potatoes, which were great. Red wine- there are three options of red wine. I forget the one that my husband chose. The wine comes in a small wine glass. Overall, the waitress made us super comfortable here and we loved it, because of her! Thank you!

It's lovely here, open and airy and the staff is just about the warmest I've ever encountered in Paris. I've been here super late at night for dinner, to lunch while enjoying their strong, free Wifi, and a about a dozen times for coffee before or after my Pilates class nearby at Chaps. Each time has been great, though I have to say that my most recent early morning coffee at the bar was the most fun since there's such a cool, neighborhood vibe between the regulars and the staff. The chalkboard menu is a bit all of the place, but in a good way. On any given day there may be a chicken satay, lasagna and bo bun among more classic dishes like grilled fish, steak tartare and caesar salad. I've only once been disappointed with my meal - the vegetarian plate. It was basically some potato wedges, a tiny salad, and a couple of tartines with over-salted tapenade and (seemingly) store-bought guacamole. So, veggies, stay away from that option if you find yourself tempted.

Fish of the day with some polenta thingy I wanted to lather myself in.

Oh la la!!! Delish!!!! Great vibe! Cute little place but the food.... incredibly perfect! We had the tartar, the butchers cut, the veal and the fish of the day. We all felt like winners. Only thing keeping it from 5 starts is... service is a little slow. A little. Otherwise. Solid bet!

Beef tartare! Yumm

My first meal in Paris! The store front and inside was so cute I had to go in. The food was so good! I had the express set, which included a drink, a main course, and coffee. For the main course, I ordered the beef tartare, which comes with sweet potatoes and salad. The portions were very generous and it was cooked perfectly. Will definitely come back!

Great drinks and friendly environment. The first time I came with local resident and I got hot chocolate which was really good too. Second I time I got spritz which was really good. Not too expensive compare to others places around here.

I initially came here around 4:30 pm, but was told that some plates are only available at dinner. I killed time in the area, and came back at 7. However I was then told by a different waiter that dinner wont start for another hour....Having not eaten lunch, I was starving and decided to forgo the lamb that i wanted to try (only available at dinner). I got the popular steak tartare. It was good but was not great! It was my first time trying the dish, but It did not blow my mind so I left feeling that I had been hyped up from the reviews.

The pumpkin soup of the day

This was the first place we ate in Paris and as far as first impressions go this set the bar. There menu is written on chalk board which they set up at your table to look over. That first night I had their delicous Soup of the Day, which was Pumpkin. It was great with all the complimentary bread given out at pretty much every restaurant. The kitchen doesn't open till 1930 and we were a little early so we just enjoyed drinks and people watched. We enjoyed this place so much we came back for our final meal in Paris. Knowing it was our final meal we did it up a bit and ordered one of their bottles of wine. Based off the reccomendations from our waitress I had the lamb dish and my husband had the pork, both of which were amazing. We finished our meal with some espresso and the Dessert of the Day, Chocolate Mousse. Overall this place has great food, great vibe and just the nicest wait staff.

Beef tartare--highly recommended!

Went here on a hot May day and although my family and I were roasting in our seats without air conditioning inside this tiny eatery, the food was so enjoyable and authentically Parisian (to us at least) that it was definitely worth it! I got the famed beef tartare which did not disappoint, my sister got the salmon tartare which was smaller than mine but still very tasty, mom got a nice little salad, and dad got some sort of steak (it was a while ago, forgive me) which was eaten pretty hastily so we could escape the heat sooner. BUT not before I tried the Nutella mousse dessert that was on the day's menu! One of my favorite spots we ate at in Paris, don't miss it!

The steak was tough and flavorless. The service was friendly but sloppy. Mistake was made in my appetizer order. Specials were not shared even though the chalk board says ask about the specials. Also the board in French shows the specials so it seems the waiter didn't want to be bothered. The panna cotta was to rubbery. Considering the French are amazing at making things creamy, this was a bit of a surprise. The sea bream tartare was fine. The mango and the onions provide most of the favor. The chef could have done more to bring out the flavor of the fish but at least he didn't get in the way. The terrace is nice and for that and the sea bream, this place is 2 instead on 1 Star.

Good coffee shop, good coffee. Only downside is the wifi only sometimes works, in case you plan to be using it, but good spot overall.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

Vibey 30 somethings and those of us tourists that have begrudgingly figured it out. It is close quarters inside, but when in Rome. My bestie from middle school and I shared the escargot (bless you) pasta, which was delicious, and the duck, which was exceptional. We split a very fairly priced bottle of wine and ended the night with the scoop of mousse. If they could figure out how to do that intravenously, that'd be great. The mousse reminded me of a great guilty pleasure, which is eating straight out of the can of Duncan Hines chocolate frosting (ask me how I know, I do this often, going to rebrand it to me being European). No real plans. Just walking. Cigarette smoke in the air, scooters passing narrow streets, old stone buildings glowing under soft afternoon light. Online, this place feels impossible to book. But show up 10-15 minutes before opening and suddenly you're seated like you knew the secret all along. Inside, the room hums. Tight tables. Warm walls. Loud enough to feel alive without becoming chaotic. Nobody rushing. Nobody flipping tables. Just the rhythm of Paris doing what it's always done. The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room.
