This is a super cute little place that has great vegan options. I was able to chat with the Chef for a little bit and they do everything here with intention. The ambience and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic and if you have ever seen the movie birdcage this place replicates a scene out of the movie. There are feathers that are lights. There is tropical wallpaper. It has been done very well. I had an incredible salad and a cocktail with a friend and we sat on a patio with our dogs. What a great time I will be back for a happy hour very soon.

This place is amazing! Seriously delicious food, good cocktails, and great service. The space itself is cute and has a nice big patio. I ordered the Look at Your Pinky which is essentially an aperol spritz, and my group did the breakfast shot. Not my personal favorite but the bacon it comes with was cooked great. We split the chile lime street corn app which was good. I ordered the mojo tofu with a side of roasted squash. It was fantastic. The tofu was cooked perfectly, the sauces (pink sauce and cilantro cream) were delicious. The squash was perfect as well. I can't wait to come back!

Birdcage in Grant Park is a stylish Latin-inspired spot that brings energy, flavor, and creativity to the table. As someone who has dined across Latin America and reviewed everything from beachside ceviche shacks to white-linen restaurants, I was curious to see what this Atlanta location had to offer. It's clear this place knows who it is, and it leans into that identity with confidence. Food I started with the Citrus Adobo Chicken and a side of rice. It earns a strong 4 out of 5. The portion was generous for the price, which already gives it a leg up on many places in town. The chicken was tender and the citrus really popped when wrapped in the flour tortillas. That brightness carries the dish. The only area where it could be stronger is the seasoning. Both the chicken and rice were good, but with a little more punch they could have been great. The real standout was the Birdcage Cobb Salad. This is a true 5 out of 5. It's layered with romaine, bacon, tomato, egg, cucumber, red onion, Chihuahua cheese, and pickled radish. What ties it together is the pear and sour orange vinaigrette. It hits every note you want from a salad--rich, fresh, tangy, and balanced. Whether you're in the mood for something light or something full-flavored, this delivers in every season. I also tried the Shining Starina cocktail. It was a bit out of my usual lane with the ginger-forward flavor, so for me it was a 3 out of 5. It's alcohol-forward and has a sharp ginger and espresso kick. Not my go-to, but for guests who like bold, spirit-driven drinks, this could be a hit. Their drink menu is fun and ambitious with names like "Shot, Eat, Mango Thing" and "Agador Spartacus," showing they like to experiment without taking themselves too seriously. Ambiance Birdcage has a playful and polished look. The pastel tones, mosaic bar, and soft lighting make it feel inviting but elevated. It's got character without being overwhelming. The space is ideal for everything from a casual drink to a dressed-up dinner. It's got that flexible charm that works for different occasions. Service Service was excellent. We were taken care of by Gemma, the longest-standing member of the team, and she was a standout. She was warm, attentive, and clearly experienced. She moved with ease and confidence and made thoughtful recommendations without overselling. Her presence alone made the visit feel smoother and more personal. Final Take Birdcage is a place that respects the flavors it's inspired by and serves them with a fresh, local touch. Some items could use a touch more seasoning, but the overall experience is flavorful, balanced, and full of personality. The Birdcage Cobb is a must-order, the cocktails are creative, and the service ties it all together. Overall: 4.5 out of 5 It's worth the visit, whether you're a local or just passing through.

I recently visited Birdcage, a Cuban restaurant, and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere was thoughtfully designed and full of creative details--birdcages used as chandeliers and feathers in flower vases added a fun, elegant touch. Their drink menu is packed with unique options, making it hard to choose just one. I ended up going with the hibiscus margarita, and it was both refreshing and flavorful. For food, we ordered the birria quesadillas, black bean croquettes, sweet potato bravas and grilled squash--everything was absolutely delicious except for the potato bravas. Those were okay but other than that no complaints. Great vibe, great service, and great food. I'll definitely be back!

This place pulls you in with the cool esthetics. It's such a fun little spot. we went during lunch, it was slow and the service was good. The food was standard, I wasn't blown away but it was seasoned well and was filling.

Came here for ATL burger week which it was also Cinco De Mayo on a Monday. We got here at 6 before the rush, I could feel we got in right before the rush. They had a lot of staff, yet our server was rarely seen we were outside but I could see him standing behind the bar just hanging around. The food runners and bus boys were crushing it, to pay I just left my card out on the table and a food runner saw it, asked me "who is your server is it the white guy?" She seemed annoyed by him and knew he was slow, so the runner took my card to get it closed out. Their burger wasn't bad, but it was my least favorite of the 7 I tried that week. I like chorizo, but it overpowered the burger and that's all I could taste. We also had the special crawfish quesadilla, pretty good, just not that cheesy. We weren't getting drinks, but man are they expensive 15 dollars for regular drinks and 13 for non alcoholic. Those prices kind of irritate me. The ambience is pretty fun, like flamboyant Miami vibes. Bright colorful and fun. You can sit outside but the patio is no frills. Feel they could do something to make it a bit more welcoming, like flower boxes and table decor. I would try it again, I feel I didn't get their best that Monday of Cinco de mayo. I think a fun spot for young adults. Bottom line: really vibrant spot with good food and expensive drinks.

I am addicted to Firepit so I could not wait to try Birdcage. I visited on a week night. The service was fast, it was not crowded, and the ambiance was gorgeous. The star of the show for me were the crab claws along with the street corn dip and plantains. The garlic sauce with the crab claws were amazing, we even kept the sauce to use for other dishes! The tortillas that came with the street corn had the perfect amount of salt and crunch. Finally, the flaky salt on the plantains were incredible. I had the agave lime ribs and enjoyed them throughly. They were tender and flavorful. I'd prefer if they were a little crispy but that's just personal preference. I am not a spicy margarita girl typically but Birdcage got it right. My hubby had the steak and was just ok. We enjoyed the fish tacos and our friend had a salad that looked incredible. I cannot wait to return for more crab claws and try the brunch one day. See you soon Birdcage!

Fun, open little spot. Great location, small parking lot. The food is very flavorful with a ton of excellent vegetarian options! This was our first time here but we'd love to go back & try a few other dishes! The staff were very friendly as well!

Came in for drinks and an appetizer. The elote dip was different, and I would've preferred more corn in it. Brunch deals were okay but nothing stuck out that I must order. Very sunny and cute within the space. Very friendly staff and quick service

Really great food and ambiance. Staff is always really nice too. Also the ribs are huge if youre wondering, even the half size is still huge!

So so good. Flavors were good, meat was cooked to order. Shrimp was tender. Service was good. Vibes were rolling, even though the frozen drink wasn't -- we still had a great experience and def want to go back.

NEED to go back and try EVERYTHING! Yall. This place has everything that you'd want. Parking: there is a lot and street parking. Had no issues. Vibes: stunning funky interior with a great cozy patio. Neon, wallpaper, and feathers are a feature. Service: good, pretty attentive Food: ok wow. This all spoke for itself...still dreaming of the steak Jalapeño poppers: perfectly fried, EXTREMELY creamy, low spice, great flavor Ribs: my friend had the ribs and the bone slid right off. So flavorful and juicy. Steak: unbelievable. Flavorful. Perfectly cooked. I couldn't get enough. The sauces weren't even needed but were equally delicious. I cannot wait to get this again! Rice beans and plantains: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly paired to our entrees. We shared all three and that was more than enough for 2 people. Overall incredible experience and I want to try it all!

Chicken crunchwrap special
Nisha B.

I came to this place after a visit to one of the Oakland cemetery festivals. It was within walking distance and had a patio that was dog friendly so we thought why not. I was very pleased by the menu options and the overall ambience was very relaxed and cute. I ordered the fruit parfait, which is on the brunch menu and one of the specials, the chicken crunch wrap. The fruit bowl was nothing really to rave about, I thought that the queso that came with that was a bit too cheesy and didn't blend well with the fruit. I tried the crunchwrap and it felt very heavy and greasy. It was loaded with cheese and it just had a very oily consistency. I may be back just for the vibe if I'm in the area but probably not the food.

It seemed almost vindictive for sending it back, which isn't what you want at all. The ceasar salad, when not over dressed is so fantastic, and the food has so much potential. It was a rainy day and my dad and I had arrived before I started grad school at Ga Tech. Our server was an Electrical Engineering student at Tech. It was appreciated after the typical chaos of moving to a new city that he happened over here my dad and I talking and he shared he went to Tech. Over the 2 decades since, I've brought friends who live here and from outside the city to enjoy the great serving and kitchen staff. My wife and I have been many times including on the restaurant's anniversary night last fall. We are sorry to hear the landlord has decided to raise the rent and sell the property. Heather has been our server multiple times. She was our server tonight as we celebrated my wife's birthday with her parents, aunt and sister. From calamari to the desert platter and entrees in between, the food was incredible. The fried lobster tails are a must. The mouse has been my wife's favorite for years. The one note is Jacob the General Manager needs to learn to trust his servers. At the beginning of the meal I let Heather know despite being a party of 7 to just bring the check to me and I'll settle up with the other guests via Venmo. And, at as we were finishing dessert, Heather came by letting me know the next party for our table was had arrived and could she bring our check. I said yes. While Heather was getting our check ($490 Food & $600+ after tip) the Manager came by telling us we needed to finish up and have our check brought. When I asked the Manager to not make this an unpleasant experience and that coming by after Heather had just communicated the situation and I had agreed she told me I should share this feedback with the General Manager. She, Jacob (GM), and I stood on the front patio where I explained what I'm sharing now: Trust your Servers. He said they were front facing and so the management likes to meet the guests. Having your Manager tell us we need to get our check and leave is not the way to meet your guests. Chef Jack and his wife (the owners) are hospitable and trust and appreciate their staff. Jacob having his Manager micromanage the servers management of tables is nowhere close the focus on service the owners have had for 26 years. I hope that Jacob and the Manager take this as a learning moment that if you hire talented people your trust talented people to bring their talents to their job. Sure it was busy. But, that's why Chef Jack hired the staff he hired. Jacob the GM needs to increase the communication with his talented team instead of using the excuse of being front facing to ever overstep their bounds on the relationship his servers have built with his guests. Heather introduced herself when we sat down. Jacob did not - nor should he have. Heather did a phenomenal job making us feel welcome, have food and drink we enjoyed, and even recognizing my wife's birthday with her favorite desert. And when the time came she handled coordinating bringing the bill and having us free the table so a new group could enjoy an evening at Agave. Jacob and the Manager need to trust their staff more. Micro-management is never a good look for your staff's morale or your guests' impressions. Please go see them for Jan 31st 2026 when they close. The servers are all wonderful as are the owners. And the food is like nothing else in Atlanta. The management simply needs to trust the talented staff from front to back of house with whom they get to work. If they're ever in doubt if a server is either providing the level of service they expect or turning tables at the rate needed to keep pace with reservations then talk to the server. The server needs to own their tables. Management should truly be of service to their staff - and you can only do that with trust and communication. Customers should never know management had a single question if the sever was doing what's needed. Because it's a bad look to come by twice about being the check. Especially when the 2nd time is in between the 1st ask if they could and the server bring the check. Of note, I already had my credit card out so that I could hand it to Heather as soon as she returned with the check. And in front of the manager, I handed Heather my credit card. Everything else was great. But, why rush guests?

Everything was delicious, the drinks ,appetizers , the meals, and the dessert. The manager,Tatum, came up to check on us and this sealed the deal to the best experience ever. The entire staff was just amazing. The ambiance was great, as I stated we landed in the loft overlooking the restaurant. Since I did research before arriving, I decided to order the blackened grouper sandwich since there were many reviews raving about it, while my fiance ordered the nashville hot fish sandwich. After about a 15 minute wait our food arrived. I absolutely loved the grouper sandwich and the wedge fries that it came with. The blackened seasoning was flavorful without overpowering the fish and the fries were crispy and generously seasoned. After eating, we stayed for a little while longer to watch people walk the beltline right next to the building, take pictures of the aesthetic colors of the restaurant, and plan our next stop of the day. For our meals we had fish and chips, Nashville hot biscuit(HUGE), grits and sausage patties, shrimp and grits, crab cake benny and the seared tuna. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. We came in on a Sunday and I guess it's a slow day as they only had one server that we noticed. Even though it wasn't super busy it was a lot for one person but he took it like a champ. It is a really cool place and the decor is nice. Overall we had a good experience here and would come back if we are in the area. I do think the Bellini flight should have been on some sort of serving platter like most places use to make it look nice.

BeetleCat is easily becoming one of my favorite seafood restaurants. The service is impeccable and…read moreeverything I try on the menu I enjoy. What's not pictured are the oysters which are always fresh and I've tried different entrées and these ones didn't disappoint. Admittedly, the lobster knuckles were tasty, but were a little work to eat but highly recommend the charcoal grill as they have different options and the sauce that comes with along with the lettuce wraps, gives it a nice crunch and finishing. The sticky toffee cake with the ice cream with scrumptious so make sure to leave room for dessert. They have an upstairs dining area as well as a downstairs area that also includes a bar. On the weekends there is also a DJ. Definitely a vibe.

I got the steak, octopus, and shrimp. Definitely would get the steak and octopus again but I'd skip out on the shrimp. The waiter explained that the chef's intention was for you to make little wraps out of the protein which I did. This was actually really good and I think could sub as an appetizer (definitely not a whole meal) and was a great addition to everything. The coconut fried rice was also really good as I had remembered. Overall, BeetleCat is such a great patio with good food and a great location!

I've been a loyal customer of Vickery's since 2013. For over a decade, it was my go-to spot for…read morefood and drinks, both personally and professionally. I've visited countless times, often multiple times a week, with friends, family, and colleagues. We consistently ordered generously and tipped well. Unfortunately, a recent experience has led my husband and I to decide we will no longer spend another dollar here, personally or for business. While sitting on the bar side, minding my own business, I was repeatedly harassed by a visibly intoxicated woman who deliberately sat next to me to start trouble. She stared at me continuously, and made unsolicited, offensive assumptions about my marriage. My husband was sitting to my left, completely unaware of what was transpiring as he was listening to some music through his Meta glasses. I initially ignored the woman's behavior and tried to laugh it off because I simply came to eat in peace. However, the situation escalated when she began directing inappropriate questions toward my husband and attempting to provoke him. Despite her continued escalation, other patrons jumped in to defend her and one even threatened my husband, portraying her as the victim. When we attempted to explain the situation to Jason (who I believe is the bar manager), rather than hearing us out, we were told the police were being called on us. We were not the aggressors and did nothing wrong. It was deeply frustrating to be dismissed and treated as though we were at fault when we were only defending ourselves. What makes this experience especially upsetting is that we have always been respectful, trouble-free patrons for 13 years! The bar staff that evening was dismissive and, at times, rude. There was no apparent effort to address how this intoxicated individual was disrupting the environment, continuing to insult my husband, and repeatedly putting her hand in his face to provoke him. To my knowledge, she was never asked to leave nor threatened with police involvement. She left only when she chose to. Only the server who brought out our food showed any level of concern or professionalism. The bartenders and another staff member in the back (a bald person, don't know their role) made it clear we were not welcome and ultimately called the police. We are owed an apology. While I don't expect one, I'm leaving this review to warn other customers (especially people of color) to be mindful of how quickly a place you've supported for years can turn on you and how we're quickly seen as the problem just because we get loud when we've been disrespected. I would strongly advise going to another place in the neighborhood like The Beverly if you want to avoid situations like the one we experienced. After more than a decade of loyal support, we understand the value we bring as customers and as people. Respect should never be conditional or situational. When a business fails to protect that basic standard, it's our responsibility to set boundaries and take our patronage where it's valued.

Food and service are always a 10/10! My faves are the fried okra, chicken, pancakes and grits.read more
