Bin-It makes packing easy! Goodbye cardboard boxes of various sizes and hello uniform, stackable crates. The cost was totally worth it, and I'm pretty sure I'll be using this every time I move. All people I dealt with at the company were informative and helpful. One thing that would be helpful to their business as well as the client, is an email confirmation the night before/morning of for confirming pick up and drop off, and giving us a better ETA within the 3 hour window. read more

This is my second time using Bin-It for a move, and I'm still pleased with the process. Scheduling the drop-off and pickup times is incredibly easy via their website. I'm convinced that using these bins speeds up the actual moving process, which is great if you are paying a moving company to handle your move. I also love the green aspect - I don't have to buy a ton of cardboard boxes that will have to be disposed of a few weeks later. When in doubt, order the larger package! I also ordered a mattress cover, which wasn't great quality. Then again, it was less than $10, so you get what you pay for. Next time I would probably go to a hardware store or something and pay more for a more durable bag. read more

This service is really a no-brainer when you're moving! I was looking for movers on yelp when I came across several businesses offering plastic, recyclable, no assembly requiring boxes to help with moves. I chose to go with Bin-It mainly because of their price and also the options they offer.We got the 40 boxes for 1BR option which was perfect for 2 people's stuff. We used up every single box, without overstuffing any. Ordering the boxes was simple and easy, and I really enjoyed their prompt customer service in answering questions, etc. The only glitch was pickup which I moved ahead by 2 days because we were able to finish unpacking ahead of time (rockstars, what can I say!). The delivery guys never showed up. I called customer service and the guy was extremely apologetic and set up a second delivery attempt at a time that was convenient for me. The driver was late by an hour but atleast he showed up this time and took the boxes away, so we could start enjoying our new digs! read more

Moving out in NYC can be a real pain in the ass. Thankfully, BinIt simplifies the process of packing your stuff with their high quality and surprisingly roomy plastic bins. I got the 1Bedroom package plus some plastic covers for a mattress and a chair. Delivery was on time and they arrived on the early side of their delivery window, same for pick up. My only complain would be that some of their bins were dusty and dirty, but not enough to deduct a star. While some people might want to stick with good old fashioned cardboard boxes, BinIt offers a simple way of packing your stuff without having to deal with disposal after the fact. read more

I just moved from Hoboken to New York and decided to use Bin-it instead of cardboard boxes. It was seriously the best decision I made!! Not only was it more convenient to not have to buy and ship cardboard boxes, but the drop off and pick up service offered by Bin-It made for a much smoother packing and moving experience. The bins are spacious, easier to stack,spotlessly clean and having labels and tie wraps to "lock" the boxes shut was so much better than dealing with packing tape, and as an added bonus you get to be green too. Genius idea! We had to move a large interior design business to a neighboring town. The bins (150) arrived on time and were picked up on time. Thomas was super helpful and accommodating the entire time. We used our own movers to deliver them but it was so much easier using the bins than cardboard boxes, and the dollies made them easier to pack up and move. Will use every time. read more

Moving sucks, but Bin-It made it so much better. Firstly, the product itself is amazing - the bins are sturdy, stack and a mighty pretty blue color! We packed in about half of the time you would normally expect, as you don't need to be as meticulous with towels, clothes and bubble wrap protecting your most precious items as the bins themselves are so rigid, very little can break. The customer service was also incredible. The guys are so responsive to every question and change, and we had a lot of both. The delivered everything exactly on time and collected everything on time. The emails with reminders were great too - felt very reassured amongst the usual stress of a move. Finally the price is right for the bins, and they really don't generate a crazy amount of waste. Think of the impact of all that packing tape and cardboard when you use the traditional packing box. The bins have a tiny carbon footprint! Overall, I have been telling everyone to use Bin-It for their moves. Once you go blue, you don't go brown again. read more

First, an hour late to drop-off. Second, got a call from the "boss" on the day of my pick-up and he was INCREDIBLY rude. My pick-up time was between 12-3. The driver showed up an hour early (11AM) and picked up half (I needed to go back to my new place to pick up the rest). The driver told me it was no problem and he would text me when he was back in the area later on. At 11:45, I got a call stating that the driver couldn't wait any longer and that I needed to reschedule. When I told him that the driver told me that he would wait, he says, "that's not my problem and he's not 'the boss'" and proceeds to argue with me. He was EXTREMELY rude and had complete disregard for customer service. I had to rush back to the city with the bins where the drivers showed up AN HOUR later and made me wait once again. They obviously have zero communication with each other and are currently taking advantage of the high number of movers in the area. Will not be using them again. read more

Love Bin-It! At first, I ordered a 2BR package even though I had some moving boxes as well. My advice: if you have A LOT of stuff (like I do), order one "size" up. In my situation, I would have been better off with a 3BR package for packing a 2BR. Their customer service is great! Here's why: the move didn't turn out as expected and I had to find a new apartment fast so I kept extending the pick up date. They were great and charged me a LOW flat rate for every additional week. When it was finally time to move in and unpack, it was so easy and fast with the bins. Overall, I really enjoyed their service, their product, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

I've used these guys twice now to move. The bins and supplies given for free are awesome; they are durable and water-proof (which was great when I had to move in the rain), and they stack within each other easily, which means quick cleanup when you're unpacking. It's easier and more eco-friendly to rent out the bins than it ever was to buy a bunch of boxes and try to figure out how to get rid of them. The cons I have are scheduling-related. The first time I ordered them I got them on time, no problems, but then the pickup date came and went and no one came to get them. I had to call the company to set up a time to get them picked up (thankfully I wasn't charged extra for having them longer than planned). The second time was a bit worse. They were delivered to me about an hour late (inconvenient because I had somewhere to be and wasn't sure if they were going to get delivered before that, but not a huge deal). When it came time for pick-up, I got a call the day I was moving saying the time I signed up (middle of the day, two days after my move) for wouldn't work anymore, and asked if could make my appointment earlier. I knew I needed as much time as possible to unpack and that a 8 am pickup wouldn't really make that easy so I called them up, explained the issue, and the guy I talked to said they'd keep my appointment time as-is. The day of the pickup I get a call at 8 in the morning by the pick-up guys asking how to get to my apartment. Half my stuff was still in bins. I explained that I had talked to someone about keeping my pick-up time as it was originally, but apparently the truck guy never got the memo. He made some calls and we worked out an 11:30 pickup, but the uncertainty of the situation meant I was basically forced to dump out all my stuff and rush to get the bins emptied in the event that there were no other pickup times available for the day. Wasn't a huge huge deal in the end, but I would have liked for things to run a bit more smoothly. I'll probably still use them in the future. read more

This is now the third time I've rented bins for moving (and I've seen the businesses evolve in the last 10 years). Bin-it was by far the best experience. Super easy website (with one or two other companies that feed into the same system). Bins come with labels, zip ties, and a form-fitted dolly. Default 2-week rental, but can be changed. I used 30 for a 1BR apartment with a wardrobe box and mattress cover. Great price and can get many supplemental items al a carte at reasonable prices. Charlie was fantastic on the delivery and pickup. You get an email notice and text message for an ETA and tracking of the truck. I've recommended to a co-worker moving next month and I would 100% recommend to anyone else moving. Bins over boxes every day. read more

Great experience! Bin-It made packing up my apartment a breeze. No building cardboard boxes and, more importantly, no need to break them down and throw them away when we were done. None of our belongings were damaged during our move thanks to the stackable, crush proof bins. Our delivery people were on time and efficient. I thought the suggested 30 bins for a one bedroom apartment would be too many but wouldn't you know, we used every last bin and our stuff fit perfectly. Service was great all around. I rented bins for my move from Bin-It about a month ago. The bins are super sturdy and better than using carboard boxes. The pre-set packages (number of bins per rooms) they offer are pretty accurate, although I got a few extra just to be safe (didn't end up needing them). THe benefit of having to return the bins in the end is that it really forced (in a good way) us to unpack our stuff instead of living out of boxes and bins for months. They were quick dropping off and picking up the bins as well and all around easy to work with. Worst moving experience ever. Never have I experienced so much damage to our personal property than this move. Beware if you get scheduled with some Irish guy. The packer in the house was brilliant, but this Irish guy in the truck was the absolute worst. He tried to roll up our mattress, damaging our springs? Not to mention heirlooms and priceless possessions weren't just scratched or scuffed, but smashed into countless pieces. And this was move was less than three miles in distance. Anything in a cardboard box was damaged. Furniture was scuffed and scratched. A carefully wrapped vintage record stand was smashed apart, our robust metal clothes drying rack was bent at the thick center bar..etc etc etc. Warning: not everything fits in the plastic bins! read more

I used Bin-It's moving service, as well as the bins themselves, and was very pleased with the result. I've had some bad experiences in the past with movers, but these guys were super-professional, and very fast, and careful with my possessions. They dutifully wrapped the larger items that were fragile, and carted them all down my narrow four flights of stairs, along with my 26 filled bins. They were courteous and funny and possessed amazing energy. What a great experience. As for the bins themselves, I highly recommend them over cardboard boxes. The guys at Bin-It brought me a bunch in advance. They nest inside each other before use, so don't take up much space, and they arrived totally clean. I didn't have to spend time assembling boxes, and I feel better knowing I'm not adding to landfill or the recycling stream. One of the best things about trying Bin-It was how much quicker the move went. We had all of the boxes in columns and our movers simply scooped them up on to hand trucks and loaded out. I would guess it knocked 3 hours off of the entire move which ultimately saved us money. The guys that run it are really nice. One of the managers came in on a Sunday morning to take delivery. I was moving out of my apartment I lived for 12 years. It turns out I accumulated a lot of stuff, so I have to put things in storage. Between boxing up things for my new apartment, I needed extra help moving thing to storage. I reviewed moving materials and I came across Bin-It. It was a great idea to rent out bins pack what I actually needed in storage and use Bin-it to transport it over. I ordered the number of buns I needed it. The cool and convenient thing was they drop off and picked up. I didn't have to loose time packing. You gave the date and time frame for drop off and pick up. They were accurate and helpful. I've used Bin-It for my past two moves and cannot say enough. Bins are delivered on time, clean and strong. Tom is super responsive. He will pull out the stops to help accommodate the move - I was probably super annoying with my questions. But he answered each as if they were of the utmost importance. Charlie, the man who lead our move, was also amazing. Kind, accommodating and very careful. He paid close attention to make sure everything was wrapped properly and made every effort not to ding things. The two other guys on the job, Zavian and Rich were also nice, funny and hard working. Finally, I thought we misplaced a piece of furniture so I texted Charlie the next day. Before he responded, he checked with Zavian and Rich and together they helped me remember what box I put it in. I used Bin-It about a year ago and am going to rent bins again for my upcoming move. It is not only the most cost-effective way to pack but also the sturdy bins are way more protective than cardboard boxes AND added bonus they deliver right to your door and pick up at your new place. You can order additional bins if you find you didn't get enough too. Also they're so easy to stack and pack in a moving truck. Seriously you can't go wrong using bins! The company is also great at keeping in contact with you and telling you an accurate time of delivery and pick up. Plus my delivery guy was soooooo nice - same guy also picked up at my new place (wish I could remember his name but it was a while ago). I really loved using this service. So convenient that I didn't have to buy overpriced cardboard boxes or go find used ones that I'd have to piece back together. The buns stacked up perfectly one right on top of the other making everything during the love just so organized. I had 20 boxes and purchased an extra dolly with my order (1 comes included). Bins were super clean, some had a few soft drink stains, but that is okay and they truly do hold a lot of items for your move. We specifically called and asked about their sanitation practices during COVID. We were told that each box was cleaned and sanitized in between uses. The delivery arrived and none of the workers were wearing masks or gloves while they unloaded the truck and carried the bins up to our apartment, so we had to refuse the delivery. Due to the realities of real estate in NYC we have a very short time until our move. At this point, no other bin company can deliver for another 4 days. They did offer to redeliver a fresh set of boxes, but how can we trust them to actually sanitize their boxes and the truck, and their employees to wear masks and gloves after such carelessness? That's all necessary to ensure they're not potentially contaminated at any point in the process. Bin-It seems to be careless with the safety of their customers and I don't recommend them. I'm giving two stars just because they did offer to issue a refund. read more

This review is for the Philadelphia team. I had a really great experience with Bin-It. Saw the Yelp reviews, phoned the Philly office, and Michael came back with a quote for bins, packing supplies, moving, and storage. The price point was great and Michael and his coworker even took apart my furniture when they came to pick up my packed up bins. Everything was moved to a storage facility for the summer and when I came back, Michael and his coworker lugged my stuff up a couple of flights of stairs and rebuilt my furniture. To be frank, my bed wasn't rebuilt properly and my mattress had a couple of tears but when I brought it up to Michael, he immediately came back to help, apologized, and waived the delivery fee. Despite these incidents, I'd still recommend the Philly team for a relatively seamless moving experience. They took out so much stress from the process. read more

I have moved locations around NYC more than my fair share over the past seven years and without a doubt, Bin-It has made this one the easiest, most organized and most cost effective move I've had to deal with. First, Bin-It is completely flexible in the times that they come to the place you're moving out of to drop off the bins. In and out in about 10 - 15 minutes with all the bins and wardrobes, zip ties, labels and a dolly. They are easily stackable, move along the floor easily without scratching and take up much less space than cardboard boxes! The movers were actually really happy to use the bins during the move instead of cardboard. With their easy to grip handles, they were out of my place quickly and on to the new location. One of the great things about Bin-It is that it forces you to unpack, knowing that you will have to return the bins at some point. I've left cardboard boxes on the floor for months in new places but with the bins, I was unpacked completely w/in a week. I called Chris to schedule a time for pickup (again, completely flexible) and they were in and out in less than 15 minutes again from a 3rd floor walkup. I am now unpacked, with zero cardboard boxes to break down and free and clear of clutter less than a week after I moved in. Couldn't be happier with the service and the choice to use Bin-It instead of cardboard. I'll definitely recommend to anyone who's moving anywhere around NYC. read more

So worth the expense! Honestly I have no idea how people pack in any other way without losing their sanity. Bin-itcan do a better job communicating/confirming delivery and pick-up times but my service guy was wonderful and so easy to work with. The ease of using these bins erases any nits on that front. My movers thought I was one of the most organized people they've worked with, which I hope inspired them to do a better job for me.
