I seriously don't know how people who move within the NYC area don't use this service. It is the best way to pack your items because it's so easy to keep your stuff safe, no need to find moving boxes, and they deliver them and pick them up. You can also add on packing supplies if needed (I always get the paper) and the main order includes a dolly to help roll the bins around if needed (also for their people's and the movers' sakes). You can have up to a 2-week window for the bins which allows plenty of time to pack and unpack them. Bin-It is also very flexible and responsive. I initially mistakenly booked for delivery on the wrong day, so I emailed and asked to change it. They handled that right away to perfection. Then I got everything out of them much quicker than I had planned and asked for a new pick-up date, which they accommodated swiftly (the guy just left with them). The delivery and pick-up guys were both incredibly courteous, too. This is the third time I have used Bin-It (formerly Juggle Box), and they have been amazing every time. Your movers will love you for this, too, as it helps them transport your stuff so much faster and safer. After a friend saw a truck in our neighborhood, we looked up the company on the website and decided to use their moving service in addition to the bins. The online quote was in line with what we were expecting, so we scheduled the move. The bins arrived on time and we were happy to have them to store our belongings. On the day of the move, we were greeted by Simon and the rest of the guys of the five-man crew. They worked quickly and wrapped all our furniture with care. In just under two hours, they had cleared out all of the bins and furniture from our two bedroom apartment. When we arrived at our new home, they unloaded everything in under two hours. Bin-it was great! Delivery and pick-up were both right within the window I booked and both took less than 5 minutes, everything was super smooth. The bins were clean and all in good shape. I think the price was fair too - we underestimated how many bins we'd need and had to buy extra cardboard boxes, and even though the boxes held less than the bins they cost at least as much; it would've been cheaper and more convenient to get a few extra bins. We also ordered a roll of bubble wrap, which was good quality - we ended up needing more of that too, and the bubble wrap I ordered from Amazon seemed waaaay flimsier and less protective than what I got from Bin-It. We got the bin insert for glasses and plates but didn't end up using it, our plates were too tall and it took up a lot of space so we found we could pack more by just wrapping up our glasses. Definitely will use Bin-It again next time we move! read more

This was my first experience using bin it and also using a bin service as well. I did also use them for movers as well. For having moved many times I figured I'd give it a try as an alternative to buying, building, taping, unboxing and storing all the boxes I typically would have used. It is a great alternative that's affordable ,convenient ,sanitary and very easy to use and store. The bins were delivered right to my house as they were clean and fresh and I was able to store in my basement until ready to pack. Once I started packing I was able to conveniently store most items and put the packed bins neatly in the corner. Being realistic there may be some items such as lamps and big electronics you can't fit in there but for the most part i was able to pack a family of four with 40 bins. The movers were great. Charlie and his team came prepared with all the necessary moving supplies and extra garment box and a few extra bins just in case which was a big help the day of. The move went smooth no damage to any of my items and all the guys were super friendly and courteous. Thomas was my sales rep handling all the details from start to finish and was very thorough, professional and patient through it all as we all know how moving goes. First, the service is fantastic. Charlie showed up on time, was extremely courteous and fun to talk with, and the bin drop-off and pick-up took no time. Keep in mind the pick-up happened during a snow storm. A++ Second, the bins are great! The company site estimate for a 2BR apartment is 40 bins, which was much more accurate than the next level up, at 55 bins. I think we only needed a few extra. Other moving companies were telling me I was crazy for moving with so few bins, but they fit! Easy to load, fasten, and unload. Much easier, clean, and less wasteful than cardboard boxes. While the service is more expensive than cardboard boxes, when you consider you will need fewer bins, and there's no huge recycling hassle, it's worth the extra (about $25-$50 if my calculations are correct). I will definitely use this service again and recommend to others. read more

If I could give Bin-It negative stars I most certainly would! I have been a customer of theirs for 2+ years now and suddenly when trying to receive my items out of storage they don't show up with my things, even after receiving a confirmation email stating the window of time that I had an "appointment" for. I called customer service 3 times and every time the worker was seemingly rushed, cutting me off as I was speaking and telling me to hold on so she can transfer me to a dispatcher (which was just a voicemail inbox). After calling back for the third time the operator gave me such an attitude, claiming I'm "not in the system" and after confirming my name with me (which was wrong) she basically told me that I was lying about booking the appointment and snapped at me when I told her to cancel if they were en route. I very rarely get upset enough to write a bad review and even went through the reviews here to see if this was a regular occurrence (it isn't) but I know they seem to only have one operator today and she is the nastiest person I have come across in a very long time. Not only do I not have control of my belongings but I'm paying every month an absurd amount to basically have my things held hostage. I will be reaching out to this business to file a formal complaint and would like to advise anyone else who is having this issue with them to come forward. read more

This service was great bc they dropped the bins off a week before our move, and then picked them up a week after. I'll never use cardboard again! These reusable bins are the way to go and made my move much easier. Great price for rental, too. The secret advantage is the heavy duty carts the bins come in- it makes moving the stuff to your truck or van much much easier than using furniture dollies on a variety of box sizes. Be sure to use the included zipties to keep your bins closed and provide a tamperproof seal. I needed to hang on to my bins for a while longer, and ended up changing the pickup location. Bin it's office staff were really cool about changes every time I called them, and the extension price for the bins was really reasonable. read more

I recently moved from Jersey City to Brooklyn and Bin-It made the experience a lot easier! The boxes were spotless clean, the delivery and pick-up guys were on time, and their customer service couldn't be nicer or more flexible! These boxes helped me pack a lot faster, and if you forget to put something in a box you can simply reopen it and put it back in there very easily... Imagine doing that with a cardboard box and lots of tape! With the stress from the move, I forgot when I was supposed to return the boxes. I emailed them and turns out I had to return them that same day! I've been meaning to write this review for months - I moved in March and seriously, there is no better way to deal with the hassle of packing than getting bins. Anything to not deal with making and then breaking down boxes, finding where to dispose of them in new building. An added bonus is that everything is easily stackable making it so much much faster for the movers to haul out to the truck and up to your new apt. (I think the actual moving guys love but maybe not the moving companies since less time = less cost) Packing/unpacking even felt easier & SO MUCH FASTER. No need to stop and wrangle the tape, or delicately organize each box.. (since bins stack it was much more sturdy for the items inside) - and unpacking was just empty bin and stack..things didn't feel dusty like sometimes cardboard can do. It may not be dollar for dollar cheaper than boxes but the payoff is worth every penny. Website easy to use, customer service is so nice and prompt (I asked to have my bins picked back up early and they were there the next day) I do reco getting more bins than you think you'll need. Maybe I just had a lot of stuff but I went through them pretty fast. read more

Bin-It makes packing and moving so much easier! Moving in the NY metro area without a car is a huge pain. You have to buy boxes and supplies, somehow get them home, and then pack them without overloading the boxes. Moving them yourself can be a backbreaking experience. Bin-It delivers the bins to your door when you request along with supplies. The bins are super sturdy, easy to stack, and have labels and plastic ties to lock the bins. I think the movers really appreciated moving Bin-It bins instead of cardboard boxes too. After moving in, Bin-It comes and retrieves the bins as well. Service and product are excellent. Binit have a simple product and offer packages that are affordable and easy to choose. The website is clean, simple and a dream to use. Moving is a stressful event. This made me feel in control and organized. The boxes were delivered and picked up on time and arrived spotlessly clean. I've moved many times and this has to be the most organized and smoothest move yet. Simply cable tie the lids down, label (included) and stack on the trolleys. I moved with an elevator at both buildings and removal men so that helped a lot. The hassle of not scavenging for boxes or hauling them back from the store, taping and then getting rid of them once you unpack makes this service a no brainer. Also if you have a time limit (which you do) in which to return the boxes, it makes you unpack them straight away! I've used bin it 3 times now, and they are amazing. Yes, the bins are perfect for moving, but their customer service is what's really above and beyond. First time I used them was for an office move, it was delayed by Sandy, and they were very accommodating. Second was a simple apartment move, and third was a move that was first delayed two weeks, then a third week for my sister to use them. Rob answered emails seven days a week, and the whole process could not have been better. The friends helping me move to a third floor walkup were also very happy with the bins. Nobody wants to pack, move and unpack. It's a nightmare. This is the second time I've moved using bins rather than cardboard boxes and, I'm telling you, it makes everything sooooo much easier. And Bin-It makes drop off and pick up super easy. And they're affordable. And they'll drop off everything else you need to move too (wardrobe boxes, tape, bubble wrap, etc.). Just used Bin-it for a recent move, and I loved it. Just the simplicity and convenience of having sturdy plastic bins helped ease the pain of the move. I got a package that included 30-some bins, little zip ties to keep everything closed, labels for each bin, and a dolly. I know they typically request 24-48 hrs' notice to deliver bins, but my crazy move was touch and go, so I didn't pull the trigger until the last minute. But even though I called them at 4pm, they were able to deliver the full package to my door by 7pm that same day. I won't lie- when the giant stacks of bins arrived in my apt, I was somewhat intimidated. Each stack of 15 bins was definitely taller than me and I suddenly felt overwhelmed. But that irrational worry soon subsided as I discovered how much easier it was to just fill reassembled bins with stuff and not have to worry about whether the bottom would fall out. These bins also stack very well, so I didn't feel like I was playing Jenga with cardboard boxes. The dolly was amazing- I couldn't believe how many bins I could just transport with such minimal effort. I liked it so much, I even asked if they sold the bin/dolly combination so I could just have something at home. Pick up was pretty hassle free. Just called them up and scheduled a time. The pick up person called me ahead of time to make sure I was available for our scheduled slot. My only bit of feedback would be that I'd feel much safer if they had provided some sort of receipt to signify that they'd pick up my boxes. Still a great experience and excellent customer service and made my move a lot easier. Definitely consider them if you're moving in the NY/NJ area! read more
