The best moving decision I made since choosing to move to Brooklyn! I tried going to the grocery store to get boxes and then Craigslist... with no success. Also I didn't really have time to borrow a car to get boxes and put them together. and a friend suggested this. They dropped the boxes off at my 4th floor walkup and then picked them up two weeks later. They come with a folly so you can easily move them around small apartments. The sturdy plastic and zip ties meant they were very stackable. No more picking boxes that have good quality or heavy things in them. And they just came and picked them up. They are great! And they have protective inserts for dishes too. Don't get the TV Box ... its huge and has no packing cushions in it. It was a waste. The garment boxes were okay. Also, get the amount recommended for your apartment size. We went with 30 but should've gone with 40 for a 2 BR. This is a great idea and we'll be using them again! read more

Cheap and green. What can you say about that? Quick and efficient, although it never seems that I get to anything other than voicemail - Surinder is quick on the email responses, though, and flexible on pick-up times. Only negatives are the box sizes - only one size in the packages, so as a result, tough to balance the load sometimes, and sometimes, I actually do need a bigger box for some items (some particularly wide pots, etc.) and smaller box for others (delicates, etc. that you don't want to pack too many peanuts/paper with). Would be interested to see if they have other kinds of boxes in the future, too - wardrobe, delicate cup, etc. Apparently they do have other sizes if you request them - based on other reviewers. Would be nice to see those options upfront without having to fill in a bunch of info. Only other suggestion for the company - put the local contact # right on the boxes with stickers or something. That'd make it easier to return (especially if you don't have internet hooked up right way). Will use again, though- very useful, clean and quick (no tape, cardboard, etc. to eliminate in the end!). read more

Post move update....everything went smoothly. I had to stick my stuff in storage as I couldn't move into my new apartment and didn't have a date of when I would be able to get in. Jugglebox was very accommodating and let me keep the boxes a few extra weeks (with a charge that was disclosed up front, of course). As soon as I moved, I was motivated to unpack to avoid additional fees so that was really a benefit. I emailed them and they came by within two days and picked up the boxes from my doorman. I came home and they were gone. If I'd picked up cardboard boxes, my apartment would still be littered with them. Also, all my stuff arrived in good shape. Two glasses were broken but I packed the boxes and they weren't that padded. An entire cabinet full of liquor was packed into the boxes and arrived unharmed! Normally, I'd be one to schlep cardboard boxes from local grocery and liquor stores for the purposes of moving, but this time around, I didn't have the time or energy. I came across a Craiglist ad for Jugglebox, and settled on giving it a shot. The boxes were delivered to the ground floor of my apartment building. This was the only real drawback--that you have to pay an extra fee in order to have the brought INTO your place. Once I had them in hand, though, it made the packing process a hell of a quicker. The boxes themselves are quite a bit heavier than standard cardboard moving boxes, so you'll want to be careful when filling them up. Otherwise, they snap closed pretty easily, and stack up nicely. I asked my movers how it was dealing with the boxes, and they said that, although they are a bit heavier, the fact that they stack and are sturdy made them ideal for moving. You're allowed to keep the boxes for 2 weeks, but I had cleared them out in a couple days. Surinder was very flexible in setting a pick-up time, and it took almost no time to get them out. I'd like to say that I chose to use Jugglebox because of environmental benefits, but I'd never purchase cardboard boxes to begin with (especially in New York city, where every corner bodega has empty boxes lying around). This is my second ever Yelp review, having been compelled by the quality of services I received upon my recent move. In short, Jugglebox is a great company with a superb service, so use them. I did, and it made my move 1000x more efficient and tolerable than in times past. The movers commented how much easier it made their job too -- a definite perk that mitigates the awkward, palpable tension that exists while having strangers perform your hard manual labor while you dilly-dally on your iPhone in the corner. I got the 1BR package with 2 wardrobe boxes. I had about 8 juggleboxes left over once everything was packed up. I chose to schlep them up my 3rd floor walk-up myself upon receiving them but decided I didn't want to haul them downstairs after my move, so I opted to have the guys come up to my new place and get them directly from the apartment. Adding this service was very easy to do -- a simple phone call and they placed the slight extra charge ($29?) to my card. The guys got them out in less than 10 minutes. Like their value proposition claims, no packing tape and no set-up or break-down of cardboard boxes made life SO much easier for me. I called and had them pick up the boxes a day earlier than my scheduled date with no problems whatsoever. Customer service was impeccable throughout the process. TIP: As far as I could tell, the plastic juggleboxes do not allow for labeling (kitchen/bathroom/clothes/etc) the way you would with cardboard boxes you can write on. Let me begin by saying that based on the customer service alone, I would rate this with 5-stars. Everyone I dealt with (one man, Surinder, who takes phone calls and seems to make many deliveries as well and another who picked up the boxes) were all really nice. Small town nice. Friendly people in the moving trade? Bizarre and wonderful. Surinder was hyper-efficient, reliable, and gave me pretty good advice (which didn't always point toward renting more boxes -- now there's honest for you). The boxes themselves are almost perfect. The have the capacity of almost 2-3 standard moving boxes. You can really pack things full. I filled many with books. Though it took 2 people to lift the box, the box withstood it all, without bending or buckling. Two limitations of the boxes. First the hand grips on the boxes really cut into your hands, so have a pair of heavy moving gloves. Second, I found the wardrobe boxes both very difficult to use (it literally took me 30 minutes of sweating and swearing to get one assembled) and inferior to the heavy cardboard wardrobes that traditional movers use. They don't really shut very well either. A suggestion: spring for at least one or better yet two of the dollies. It's impossible without them, and really a breeze if you have them. One final comments. All of this goodness comes at a price. They were not much cheaper than buying the boxes outright (actually, possibly more expensive -- checkout Uline.com). But for the ease, for the saved guilt of throwing out so many boxes after just one use, and yes for that very sweet and hyper-efficient Surinder I would do it all over again. read more

I wish I could give Jugglebox 10 stars. We all know how frustrating it is to: gather moving boxes (or resign actually buying them and paying a fortune); assemble moving boxes; reinforce moving boxes so they don't dump our contents all over the sidewalk when we pick them up; pack moving boxes; seal moving boxes; precariously stack moving boxes so they don't collapse; unpack moving boxes; flatten moving boxes; and recycle moving boxes. Jugglebox eliminates all of those headaches. Well, you still have to pack and unpack them, but even that part is made easier. You'll save time, effort, money, energy and your sanity. There is no reason NOT to use them. My only complaint is that I didn't think of this idea first. Rats! It's just plain brilliant. P.S. Let's be real: moving sucks. I'm a big fan of anything that makes it easier, which Jugglebox definitely did. I moved my room & a bunch of kitchen/living room items from my old 2BR into a new 2BR. I got the studio package + a wardrobe box, which was more than enough -- I ended up having 3 leftover boxes, which were great for any last minute items I needed to throw in a box on moving day. My total cost was $121, which was only slightly higher than the bunch of Lowes boxes I used last year and promptly threw away. And these boxes were so sturdy & durable, I basically just threw a ton of stuff in them - no playing tetris to ensure the perfect fit, or worrying that the box would break after you stuffed the contents of your bookshelf inside. The customer service was also top notch - everyone I interacted with, from the people at HQ to the people who delivered/picked up the boxes, was so nice. They're very good about returning phone calls/emails, and they give you a few days grace period with the boxes -- I was actually one day out of the two-week range and wasn't charged extra. Again: moving sucks. The time and effort you save with Jugglebox is well worth the money. read more

Awesome. We wanted our move to be greener and a more hassle free experience, we picked Jugglebox as boxing choice (Thanks Yelp!!). From the beginning to end it was an absolute pleasure doing business with them. Most of the interactions were by email, and they called only to confirm delivery and pick up. So easy. Our move-in date got delayed for two weeks: Husband and I were homeless and relied on the incredible kindness of our friends to host us hence our green boxes' rental had to be extended. Jugglebox's representatives were so nice and understanding of our misery they gave us some discount on the extension costs. Yes, Jugglebox is more expensive than your regular cardboard boxes but unlike those, Jugglebox's heavy duty plastic containers are reusable and they come with lids that you can close. Also you can stack the hard boxes better than the cardboard ones. The movers also love them, since they are easier to carry. Will definitely use them again next time we move! read more

Still LOVE these guys. A year went by, my lease was up, I had to re-up on the juggle boxes. Still great customer service, fair prices, and the boxes make the move soooooooo much easier. This time I got the dollies and a few extra boxes and I definitely recommend getting one of their dollies, they work perfectly for the boxes. They aren't expensive, but if cost is an issue, think about the time that you save putting together and breaking down cardboard boxes.... and the stuff that gets smooshed and broken. One of my biggest annoyances with moving is buying/building boxes, then breaking them down and disposing of them after the move. What a pain. JuggleBox to the rescue! Everything works just as flawlessly as the others have stated - a quick submission on their website and you'll get an email back with a 2 hr window for delivery of your boxes. Everything was just as I expected - the right number of boxes and dollies, the right amount of paper. I had a huge one bedroom and was moving into a two bedroom, so I got the two bedroom package to be safe. We ended up using every single box. I also bought 2 sets of papers which ended up being 2x too many. I got 2 dollies, but my movers didn't need them. I thought the prices were reasonable considering JB does all the lugging. The boxes were VERY clean. If I ever have to move again (hopefully not until I'm dead) I will use JuggleBox again! read more

I didn't think I had much stuff but used each and every one of the 25 boxes in the studio package plus 2 wardrobe boxes, so I'd recommend sizing up your box package when ordering these. While the boxes are more expensive than regular cardboard boxes, they require no assembly, are easy to pack and don't need to be disposed of. I'd definitely use them again for my next move although I'll skip the wardrobe boxes as they are flimsy with thin plastic walls that would bend when the rod was partially loaded with coats. read more

I was skeptical. Renting boxes for moving?! But my GF convinced me it was The Right Thing To Do. Then I did it. I'm so happy I did it. No hauling boxes from the UPS Store and then having to haul them off for recycling. No worrying about taping boxes and having those boxes collapse. No worries about "Will it fit?" It will fit. Our juggleboxes were picked up 20 minutes ago. I can't say enough good things about the whole system. Would it have been cheaper to buy cardboard? Maybe, but here's why that's not the only factor to consider. - we tried to get recycled moving boxes; none around when we needed them - no bugs in plastic juggleboxes - heavy box/light box it doesn't matter. you stack them up, and the box takes the weight - you can fit a crapton of stuff in a box - the jugglebox staff is really nice - our order didn't get dropped off (mix up with the manifest) so the owner and assistant brought them that night and gave us a few bucks off. - our pile of recycling is nil. our need to free cycle or craigslist all the moving boxes is nil. our happiness at this is great. To consider: Definitely get paper to pack your delicates You might need to supplement juggleboxes with specialty boxes (china dish boxes, for example) The two week window is narrow for packing/moving/unpacking. I was refereed to Jugglebox by my wonderful moving company (Lightning Van Moving) and I am so happy I worked with this company! Scheduling delivery is a breeze, and they are flexible about pickup. You have two weeks to unpack, but I was ready for pickup one week after I moved. I emailed on Sunday night and had the Juggleboxes picked up at noon on Monday! I highly recommend this company/product, here's why: -They require no set-up, which saves time when packing! -You don't have to break them down, which saves time when unpacking! -They are so sturdy! You can stack them high, and no worries about crushing what is on the bottom of the stack. And no breakage, even with my glass items! -They are earth-friendly! No more guilt when ditching the moving boxes that you promised yourself you would give away on craigslist. Moving is exhausting. Save yourself the emotional turmoil! -They are clean! I was worried there would be evidence of other people in the boxes; a stray hair or bobby pin or something. No such evidence. This made me feel super comfortable to throw my clean clothing and linens in. My dresser was unpacked in literally 5 minutes. -Movers love them. Since they stack perfectly and are all the same size there is very little wasted space in the truck/van. -They are cost efficient! I have moved a lot. I have even been responsible for a corporate move. I know how much boxes cost. Trust. These will save you money! My only advice. PAY FOR THE $30 DOOR TO DOOR delivery/pickup if you live in or are moving to a walk-up. They are light if you are holding one. Moving is a pain in the neck, no matter how awesome your new place is, or how loathsome your old place was. Jugglebox has a simple premise: deliver rented plastic crates, give you two weeks to use them, then they pick them up. It works well and I'll use them again when I move out of the place I just moved into. Jugglebox made my move easier: 1. Packing is simplified: no boxes to buy, lug and build before you start packing! 2. Peace of mind: all the boxes are pretty much guaranteed not to self-destruct during the move, and provide a lot more insulation from bumps, knocks, splashes etc. Much sturdier than cardboard. The crates also have holes that can be used to seal or lock them - you can be more assured that your goods won't be tampered with. 3. The boxes stack easily and neatly when packed. This is critical in small NYC apartments. Stack them on a Jugglebox dolly and you can easily move them out of the way. 4. You can start packing well before your move - pretty much as soon as the boxes arrive. 5. You're forced to unpack. No lingering cardboard boxes. If you've ever seen a suburbanite's garage, basement or attic you know what I'm talking about! Stuff that's been sitting in cardboard boxes for years! 6. The crates are physically easy to handle - solid/firm handles, they slide easily, stack securely, etc. 7. Get the dollies. If you're moving stuff yourself you'll be happier. If you have movers, they'll be quicker (time is money) and happier. 8. A slight criticism: the wardrobe boxes are very unwieldy. Packing/unpacking them was easy but maneuvering them up and down staircases was not. Be prepared. 9. No boxes to break down, re-cycle etc. You've probably already generated tons of garbage, recycling, donations, Craigslist/Ebay listings etc. This is one less thing to worry about. Put up your new drapes instead. After you've moved and unpacked: you can stack the boxes on doilies and tuck them out of the way. They take up minimal floor area. 10. Lastly but definitely *not* least: customer service at Jugglebox was exemplary. I dropped a last minute change to my order on them, and they smoothly adjusted. They are responsive and helpful. The last thing you want is another hassle and in my experience Jugglebox *removed* hassles. EDIT: Another reviewer noted that there's no easy way to label the boxes. I used blue painter's tape and a sharpie. Leaves no residue on the boxes, easy to remove, and is easy to write on. Masking tape would probably also work. read more

Far more convenient than buying cardboard boxes. You don't have to build them, you don't have to disassemble them, and they won't rip in half when you put too many books into them. Jugglebox staff was super friendly and flexible. I probably changed my pickup time 5 times, but they were very understanding. I bought the one-bedroom package, and it was mostly enough for me...I had A TON of stuff. But I also rented two wardrobe boxes. I DO NOT recommend the wardrobe boxes. They are unwieldy to move around, and rather flimsy. Just put your clothes in the regular juggleboxes. read more

I left a message 3 different times when trying to book. Hi Susan I just read your review and was very disappointed. We do have a very clear policy that if there is a walk up we charge $29 plus tax. This should have been clearly communicated to you in advance. Furthermore we usually don't charge for bringing them up the stoop (unless it is extremely steep with a lot of steps) so the driver shouldn't have given you any trouble when you questioned this charge. I apologize that you had a bad experience using us and I can assure you that our policy is not to try to stick it to our customers. We are in the business to make money but our primary goal is to make life less stressful for our customers. In fact we usually we waive any late charges if customers hold boxes for a few days past two weeks because we don't want them stressed out over the 2 week deadline. Used Jugglebox for the first time in 2012 and just used them again for two moves and they're still the best! I loved this company! What a great idea and I'm so grateful I found them. I'm a procrastinator to say the least. And when it comes to moving, I'm even worse. I'm normally up until 4am frantically packing and then up again at 8am throwing things into boxes so I can get everything done before the movers arrive. Well Jugglebox changed my life. I received the boxes a week before my move and it made packing 1000 times easier. I was able to go from room to room and pack quickly and then stack the boxes to move onto the next room. It was awesome. I took masking tape and labeled the boxes and organized them so I knew where they were. (My movers didn't seem to care, when they moved them to the next place, but I was able to move them around so I knew where things were.) Juggleboxes helped so much that I was done packing with 3 days to spare before my movers came. I was overwhelmed by how prepared I was that I was confident I had forgotten something. My movers thanked me that everything was stacked and ready to go for them when they arrived. I got the studio size. While I was living in a 2 bedroom apartment, I only was moving myself. It was great because my roommate had regular boxes and I had these amazing green Juggleboxes that there was no confusing what box belong to which person! The delivery and pick up guys were awesome. Showed up during their allotted time and were very friendly. I lived in two elevator buildings so I was an easier pick up and drop off than others, but they were great! Usually, I beg various liquor stores to let me comb through their empty cases (easily my least favorite part of moving). This time, both my mother and my girlfriend talked me into jugglebox. Bottom line: Moving sucks. Why not pay a few bucks to make it so much less awful? Also, the idea behind Jugglebox is so damn smart and simple that, after using it, you won't believe no one's done this sooner. I called Surinder (who is possibly the world's most pleasant and competent business owner), and he delivered 50 crates within about two hours. All the other reviews are right: The boxes are durable, uniform, and clean. You can pretty much throw whatever you want in them, and nothing will break (or, at least, I broke nothing of mine). The sticker shock will likely get you at first - it got me. BUT, it's not really much more and it's SOOOOO much easier! 1. It's hassle free. You don't have to pick out different boxes and have them delivered for an extra fee. They do it all for you. If you have a doorman, you don't even need to be home. 2. You don't have to tape the boxes. The bins "lock" closed. This is key before the move when you want to add little things to bins and after the move when you're living out of your bins. 3. The bins are stackable. No worrying about balancing boxes or putting light boxes on top and heavy boxes on bottom. 4. The bins aren't going to get soggy if it's raining. 5. It FORCES you to unpack quickly. I recommend springing $10 for a dolly, it'll help you move boxes around the home (and won't scratch floors). One recommendation I would give is for Jugglebox to try to narrow the delivery/pick-up window. This will help people without doormen for delivery/pick-up during the week who can't really take a whole day off. read more

There are not enough stars for this review! Jugglebox took so much stress away from the moving process that it's basically an alternate reality where moving isn't difficult. Ordering on-line? Piece of cake. Delivery of the boxes? Piece of cake. Packing? Piece of cake (I had 25 boxes filled in about a day). Moving was even easier. The movers I used (Intense Movers) love when people use Juggleboxes and then I was done unpacking in less than 4 hours. Scheduling a pickup? Piece of cake!! JuggleBox never delivered our boxes. The driver told us at 10:30pm that his truck had a flat and that it would take several hours to fix. He claimed the boxes could definitely be delivered the following morning. I emailed contact@juggleboxmoving.com immediately after this exchange to confirm and have not heard back. Their offices are closed on the weekend so no one is available to help. Protip: if you offer services to customers on the weekend, then provide customer service on the weekend! Going to go purchase boxes from Home Depot now. JuggleBox seemed like a great idea and it looks like others had great experiences when nothing goes wrong, but if it does there is no one available to help. EDIT: Upgrading to three stars because they finally got back to me with an available delivery time which is awesome, but I definitely still think they should have someone staffing a phone on the weekend and someone on hand to reschedule deliveries immediately if something goes wrong. Alas, hauling wardrobe boxes on a subway was not my idea of a good time. Jugglebox delivered their sturdy, green containers to my apartment and picked them up from my new place days later. They were really flexible with their ordering and scheduling. They had set packages for studios, one bedrooms, and 2 bedrooms. I only had to move my one room, so I asked if I could get a smaller number of boxes and include 2 wardrobe boxes instead. They agreed and were really nice through the whole process. You book on-line in minutes, have 2 weeks from time of delivery to keep the boxes and unpack at your leisure and then Surinder and co. magically appear and take it all away without ever needing to break down a box, get tape stuck in your hair, or ruin your manicure. The boxes are big and deep, but still manageable to carry, and the wardrobe boxes are a snap to fold together. Our moving company was also very pleased and complimentary about how easy the boxes were to handle and stack, and how much easier the process was for them. Good news all around! I can't say enough good things about Jugglebox, and while I certainly don't look forward to moving again, I know that Surinder and team will be there to make it a little less stressful and a whole lot easier. Great concept and good company to deal with. Used them for my last move, got the studio package and the wardrobe boxes. The boxes came on time, were clean and the wardrobe boxes were pretty sturdy. My moving company was happy to hear I was using them. One of my boxes was missing a lid and they sent someone to replace it with another one. Pickup was on time as well. I do wished that their phone service was better but had no issues communicating through email. read more

What a find! This service not only made my move greener but also way, wayyyyy easier. The boxes were clean, sturdy, lightweight and stackable, and they were picked up and dropped off by a super nice guy who arrived on time both times. Easily the least pain-in-the-ass part of my move! And the movers I hired were equally ecstatic about the whole thing. They kept saying that they would love for all of their customers to use Juggleboxes because they're so much easier to handle than cardboard boxes. This solution was a GOD SEND. Honestly. I moved yesterday and I'm out of my crates today. No taping boxes. No breaking down boxes. No cutting yourself as you fumble with boxes, tape and scissors/blade/knife. No packing up boxes after with twine, etc for recycling, garbage, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this solution. Packing things was REALLY EASY and VERY FAST! My movers were able to bring up all the boxes in a matter of minutes. They just stacked them on a dolly and brought them up. Since they fit snuggly onto one another - you can stack them pretty high...meaning less trips. Dealing with these guys was EASY. They were very responsive and answered all of my questions. Couple of comments: 1. I lived in a big studio but got enough crates for a 1 bedroom and I used all the crates. I'm in a 1 bedroom now and apparently I crammed a 1 bedroom into a studio because I still barely have any breathing room! 2. You cannot write on the crates to tell you what's in each of them. I bought little labels and stuck them on the crate making sure they were easy to remove. Jugglebox - can you provide a solution for this? 3. I got 3 wardrobe boxes but they were kinda painful to use. They are reusable and they worked but they didn't hold their shape very well. Perhaps it wasn't perfect, but again, it did work so that's good. 4. They ask for 48 hours notice for pickup. I asked them late last night and they are able to pick them up tonight (which is great!). They also give you a big timeframe in their standard email, but when I just scheduled my pickup, they gave me a 2 hour timeframe. UPDATE: They arrived within the window they gave me. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this for your move. It made my packing go SUPER FAST and the move was equally fast. read more

Jugglebox is one of the most ingenious ideas I have ever come across. Using it is a no brainer. No more scrounging around for wimpy cardboard boxes! You arrange for the delivery of the boxes online, but some aspects of the process are manual (you have to call or email to arrange pick ups), but once they're fully automated, the whole process will be much smoother. You can also order extras, such as packing paper, mattress bags, wardrobe boxes, etc., which makes things extra convenient. We have used them twice now, and the second time was just as good as the first. They dropped off and picked up the boxes when they said they would. The boxes themselves are durable and stackable. Plus it's fun to create a maze of them in a big empty space. Nothing else comes close! read more

I loved the excellent customer service from Jugglebox. They arrived when they said they would, and came up three flights of stairs to pick them up after our move to a walkup in Bed-Stuy. It was great not to have to look for cardboard boxes, or worry about bringing cockroaches and other surprises from found boxes into our new, renovated space. I also loved not having to break down and tie up all those cardboard boxes for recycling. One downside: the plastic boxes are themselves heavy, so be careful packing them. We loaded several of them down with books, and that did NOT endear us to our movers! They're also a bit unforgiving when they bump into the wall. read more

I've used Juggleboxes for two moves now. Both were great experiences. The boxes arrive at a designated time range (of your choosing). Their clean and stack beautifully. I have used this company twice. Both times were flawless. I got exactly what I needed when I needed it. I felt like there was good communication and although it seems a little confusing your first time, they were always happy to answer all of my questions about how the process works. I LOVE the boxes they make packing a dream and my movers really liked that I used JuggleBox as well. I completely recommend this company.
