We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

Note, I didn't rely on Elite to choose colors, I spent hours doing that on my own. You have a project manager, texts to remind you of appointments and follow-ups to check with your satisfaction while they are painting. And the jobs are simply excellent. Friends complain about seeing brush strokes, windows that are painted shut, paint drips on the floor. I never had to worry about this. The work is exemplary. I can recommend them without hesitation.

I cannot be more happy and want to say thank you to A-WAY Express to help my family with our move yesterday from Nutley to North Caldwell. The guys were awesome: 1. The crew was 10 minutes before the scheduled time; It feels good when everything goes on time; 2. They were well equipped, dollies, tools, lots of blankets, tape, etc; 3. Very quick movers, no clock milking and great packing skills from Igor. I was afraid initially his 16 ft was not enough to handle our 3 bedrooms house efficiently. I was wrong, the guys know how to pack well, although it took two full loads for them; 4. Everything was disassembled and assembled back properly. We had a very difficult bed to dismantle, 2 heavy dressers but not for the guys; 5. The crew was polite, very considerate; 6. Great communication skills from Igor when scheduling our move; 7. Price was very REASONABLE. Compared to other 3 companies he was the best. A-WAY Express quoted us almost twice less than one of their competitors; 8. No hidden fees, no surprise charges - exactly the way it is! This was a complex move. So much could have gone wrong. Everything went perfectly. We are in our 50s and have moved around the country and internationally every few years for most of our lives. This was probably the most agreeable move we have ever experienced. The move involved packing all the usual stuff plus some extremely old and fragile items of considerable sentimental value. There were two pick-up locations: a second-floor walk-up in a neighborhood with narrow streets and cluttered sidewalks, and a storage unit about five miles away. The delivery point was an old, three-floor house with steep, irregular, and very narrow stairs. Furniture had to be lifted from the ground to a second-floor balcony, then carried through the house or up to the third floor. It was a hot day. Igor and his two colleagues were thoroughly professional and pleasant throughout. They maintained an efficient pace and were accommodating to the point of being gracious when we ended up asking them to take about one-third more stuff than we had originally indicated. Not one thing was lost or damaged. The price was reasonable and there was no hassle of any sort. It is rare to work with movers as honest and careful as these. read more

Igor is as professional and polite as it gets in this business. He and his team were on time, efficient, organized and very respectful. I, like I am sure many of you are contemplating right now, had ideas and dreams of renting a truck and doing the move myself or with the help of friends... scratch that idea right there. This is back breaking work and you really, REALLY don't understand how many boxes or trips it will take you let alone the amount of time it will take or the number of relationships it will cost you if you try to do it yourself with family and friends. Igor gave me an amazing price and honestly by the end of the day I would have been OK paying double seeing how much work they put in. Food for thought, can you take apart your king size bed, dressers, nightstands etc., get them in a truck, unload them and put them back together within 30 minutes? (HINT: They can) You're already buying a bigger house or upgrading most likely, so do yourself a favor and hire professionals to get you in there right. This will be the best money you spend. read more

This was my first move using a moving company to do the job and I couldn't have been happier to have Igor and his company taking care of us. We moved from NJ to CT and we were able to do the whole job (loadin/loadout with driving time) in 9 hours, which is just outstanding. We moved about 1.5 bedrooms worth of items that were prepacked by us. His quote was our price, no surprises and it was much more reasonable than others I received. My parents have moved with other companies before (so they can compare) we're very pleasantly surprised with the team's courtesy and the care that was taken with all of our things. We had a narrow stair to the front door and the house we moved into was built in 1792, so it wasn't designed for getting things up stairs easily and none of this was an issue, everything we wanted up stairs made it there. I will be honest, I was a little skeptical that everything we had would fit into the truck that the team arrived in, but Igor's walk through was spot on as you can see. I highly recommend! read more

Last week Igor and his crew moved my family's belongings from New Jersey to Boston. This was the third time I have worked with Igor in 7 years. This last time, just like the first two times, I was pleased with the professionalism, friendliness, and carefulness of Igor and his team. I have worked with many movers (my family has moved numerous times over the years), so I now how difficult it can be to work with people in this industry. There is very often a disconnect between management who signs you up to be moved, and the team that arrives. Too often there are constant little arguments about money, what was agreed to or not, etc. This is not the case with Igor and his colleagues at A-Way. It has always been easy to work with them. Furthermore, Igor really applies his brain to the job. He has a knack for arranging items both in the truck and at the destination. Igor and Mel exceeded every expectation and proved the positive reviews were earned. They responded to a request for a quote immediately. Given the limited amount of furniture involved in the move, they provided a very reasonable flat rate for the move. They confirmed the appointed date and time for the move the day before the scheduled date. They arrived early and worked expeditiously and handled the furniture carefully. Igor and his guys recently helped our firm move locations, and they did a great job. Igor was communicative and flexible with a lot of the prep work that goes along with commercial moves (such insurance matters and other building requirements), their pricing was the most reasonable, and Igor was one of the few that actually showed up to estimate the job (he even warned about copier warranty issues, so there was no surprises later)! On moving day, all of the movers were friendly and kind, and did a great job protecting our furniture. They started early in the morning and had us all moved in by mid-afternoon. There were no surprise charges. His quote was very reasonable. Moving day was a breeze for us with a newborn and toddler, they were on time, and they moved everything. Igor and his partner did a great job moving my one bedroom apartment worth of furniture to a house. It was a 2 part move in and out of storage. They gave me a reasonable flat rate quote for both parts of the move, and everything was included (materials, labor, stairs, disassembly and reassembly). There were no surprise charges. They dealt with a heavier couch than they were expecting and pouring rain during the first half of the move. During the second half, I had to ask them to come later in the day at the last minute, and they were very accommodating. They were very careful with the furniture and did a great job wrapping everything and fitting it in the truck and storage unit. Igor is amazing! They are professionals in moving and are extremely easy to work with! They really take care of your furniture and the walls and floors while moving things around. They are VERY careful even when loading furniture into their truck. They pad every single piece of furniture and strap everything down so your furniture doesn't get scratched or damaged. And they double check to make sure things don't shift before moving off. They are very responsive and their rates are very reasonable. If I could, I'd give Igor of A-Way Express 6 stars. He's the "Magic Man." I called him on a Friday afternoon with an emergency request to pick up and deliver some furniture locally the following day. He confirmed that he would be able to accommodate my request, and showed up the following day on time and in the rain. He and his helper removed my old furniture and assembled the new furniture. He and his helper were quick, efficient and careful. And his fee was very reasonable, considering the circumstances. Plus he was very pleasant to work with and communicated well throughout the move. Very happy with my move last week from Bloomfield to North Caldwell. Igor came and gave us a very fair and reasonable estimate and that was what we were charged in the end without any hidden fees, etc. He and his team were organized and efficient and very respectful of the fact that I had just had a baby 6 days prior and things were a bit crazy! The rate quoted by Igor was more than fair and his crew were very pleasant to interact with. The first time, 10 years ago, I did a lot of comparisons before choosing Peers. After that experience I never looked elsewhere but was just thankful that they were still in business and still the same well run company that I remembered. The move was a little complicated by half of my belongings having to be packed and shipped to my son in Philly and the other half following me to Livingston,NJ. A couple of smaller boxes ended with me by error. A larger painting got picked up by Peers and transported down with the other furniture. (The smaller boxes I didn't find until later and I can drive down.) I chose not to take insurance on the move and they never broke anything!!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Peers! I rarely write reviews unless an experience is remarkable one way or the other. Peers Moving and Storage will make your move as easy as possible.

Kevin and Brenden were there to help load the truck and go on to another job after that. They were both very courteous and careful with our possessions. Christian, Deigo and Gilberto went on to South Carolina to complete the delivery. I can only say that these men worked hard and were very careful with our property. Kevin,Brian,Anthony,Tom and Cory arrived on schedule, worked with a smile in very hot and humid weather and stayed until the end of a challenging and large household delivery. As if this wasn't enough , they cleaned a mountain of packing materials and tape. I cried when they left because not only was I overjoyed that my junk was in mint condition but my faith in the younger generation was restored-these guys were the BOMB!! If you're moving, get a call in to Joe at Delicato Transport as soon as possible. Oh, did I mention their rates are less than the competitors. If you want the best movers plan as far in the future as possible because the rest are second best!!!
