The guys were very responsive to get the job, prompt and on time, and polite when they arrived and even through the process. However they totally hustled me. They quoted me one price and then changed and increased the price two times during the moving day, while they already had my things packed in their van. Which also they didn't show up with an actual moving truck but a large van --So that was their excuse as to why they now needed to do two trips to my new house and were going to charge for it, (why was it my problem they did not have a large enough moving truck and also did not tell me this??) and then claimed I had more inventory than they expected or I told them, which wasn't true. I stated I had two large couches and several end tables, baby crib and baby furniture and about 4 wardrobe size boxes and some medium boxes. They said I told them perhaps half of that, it wasn't true. I had an estimated inventory list I sent to several moving companies so why would I have told them anything else?? But what could I do at that point? They already had my belongings in their van once they increased the pricing, and I had to move that day, and they knew that. So they ended up basically hustling me, I ended up paying more than double their original quote. They charged for the distance, the double trips, anything they could use to charge me more for. I've moved multiple times in Manhattan, Long Island and the Hamptons over the last 11 years. Never had a bad experience like this. The price was always the price, they packed everything and were very professional. This company is not that. They are a small company, they don't have an actual moving truck, it's a large van. They don't make an inventory list before hand (so make sure you have one and it's exact, not even one or two boxes or a piece of furniture more when you get a quote from them, otherwise they will change your price multiple times during your moving process). And they will demand the tip as I see in other reviews they did this to me too and wanted 100/each at the end. So after quoting me 800. It was 1500. The whole process just felt dishonest and when your items are already in their van, your hands are tied and you have to pay it. There's a lot of moving companies out there so I would recommend looking elsewhere. Or if you hire them, make sure to have your exact inventory, and know what type of vehicle they are bringing to move your items in and make sure that all your items will fit. Otherwise you are in for big surprises the day of. And they know that, so they seem to be getting away with doing this as I can see from other reviews... it's the same story.

I worked with Ana and Jane on the logistics of my move. They were very thorough in ensuring that my entire inventory was accounted for, answered all of my questions, and made themselves available during all hours of the business day and during the day of my move. My move was within Manhattan in the same postal code, from a walk up building to an elevator building. We had a mix of large furniture (mattress, nightstands, TV, arm chair, floor lamp, dressers, etc.) and 10+ boxes. They arrived on the dot at 9am and wrapped up their packing job within 45 minutes. It was seriously so impressive how they handled our small space and the stairs. They also brought their own packing materials to make sure that everything was protected in the move. As we wrapped up, they made sure to check if anything was left behind. Then, we headed to our new apartment. They brought up everything and even asked where we wanted boxes and furniture to be placed. I seriously could not recommend Heart Moving any more, they were absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much to Ana, Jane, and the crew for making this the least stressful experience. I am over the moon happy to be in my new place with all my belongings. Everyone at Heart Moving is a pro. Please ask about they're smart bins. The first time I relocated for a job I purchased expensive boxes from Home Depot. On the second move they informed me they have Smart Bins. These smart bins were so convenient. You can place food, clothing and other items quickly in the smart bins with less packing time than assembling and using a moving box. I'm an attorney and I can't tell you how many scam moving companies I have seen in court and heard about movers damaging property during the move. With Smart Price they're is no need to worry about being scammed or having your personal items being held hostage for more money.

Since we only had 20 boxes and they were being moved to a storage facility, I agreed to be a pit stop in the middle of someone else's move. This means if the first move pickup took longer than expected, I had to wait. Which I did, for 6.5 hours. When the movers did arrive, they were very efficient and had a positive attitude. They moved all of our stuff successfully in less than an hour. For the 20 boxes, from Williamsburg to Clinton Hill, they charged $295, which is their minimum. I payed via Zelle, which was convenient. Super grateful for their help in our 11th hour, for the great customer service, good price, and efficiency during the move.

They reeked of pot when I picked them up (Ricky had me pick these guys up) and smoked up again once we got to my rental unit to unload my stuff onto the truck.
