We had a complicated, two-part move which involved re-assembling a complex dining room table and deconstructing multiple pieces of heavy furniture and moving them to a dumpster. The team was professional, efficient, fast, and careful. They all wore masks and helped us feel safe. There was so much heavy lifting and the team managed to get all of our dumpster items to fit, breaking them down when necessary to get everything in! They carefully wrapped and boxed our larger items and got them transported and set up with no damage! Three of the movers all pitched in to figure out how to reassemble my dining room table which had many moving parts - they were great troubleshooters. These excellent boutique movers provided personalized service for our relocation out of state. We actually used them twice - last year for the major household move and recently for a small move of final items. We chose BestGuy because I was very nervous about the large quantity of fragile items we were moving. I researched reviews of all the major moving companies and became very worried! However my interview with Guy reassured me. He is very direct and professional with zero "sales P/R" and only uses reputable 3rd party partners. That seems to be the weak link with the large networks - the company you hire is not the only company involved & they are not always fussy who joins their network. We were impressed with BestGuy staff and with their partners at the delivery end. BestGuy has experienced packers who prep items well for the move. We were very happy with our experience moving with Best Guy. Moving can be terribly stressful but with Best Guy we didn't feel that way at all. We got in touch with Guy who came and did an inspection of our apartment efficiently noting everything into his tablet. He instantly gave us a report and an estimate and explained the various options to us. When moving day arrived the guys came right on time and worked really quickly and efficiently and had our entire apartment packed up professionally in no time! My daughter hired Sterling Intl (K. Treschitta) to move her from NYC to Amsterdam. This company for two months sent emails confirming the ship and arrival date. Finally a Sterling employee told her Ken was gone, the company was failing and no idea where her goods were located. In stepped a hero. Guy contacted my daughter and told her the goods were stored in his warehouse, they were safe and he would do everything to help her even though Sterling never paid him. Guy went beyond the call of duty. He arranged all the shipping documents, the ship and finally the in home delivery. It went like clockwork. No damage. These Guys are the Best! They came on time, worked hard, did a beautiful job, were sweet too! I had a 40' container of my household items including an upright piano they needed to pack. Nothing was broken or dented or missing at the other end! I am so happy they are the one right thing the Moving Manager did for my move. Though I have no idea how much they charge! Because I paid Sterling international to manage the move (see my review of Sterling, yuck). They catalogued each item with a computer printed label so that it was easy to keep track of how many items were shipped and what they were (generally). I have used BestGuy Moving Services twice. I simply love them. On the present move (from New York to Israel), the packers who arrived on removal day were not only polite, but very, very nice. They did NOT storm through the apartment like madmen to pack everything at top speed, but waited for my comments and requests when I made them. I didn't feel overwhelmed. The movers were not only very competent (no breakage--and my parents have a lot of old things that are not in great shape), but also very nice and pleasant. Guy was very professional came in and gave me an accurate estimate for my move and worked with me as the closing date got changed several times. The crew that came the day of the move included 5 men. Gabriel was very kind and efficient. The crew that worked with him were very respectful to each other and to me. We got packed on a Monday - just the day before the closings, and then delivered on Tuesday immediately after the closings were done.
