Moved almost six and a half years ago and I moved on December 29th 2019 on a Sunday and there were three robbers disguised as movers! All 3 of them they stole a lot of things a lot and I'm talking a lot of things from me because they didn't want to give me my stuff I had all my clothes in boxes, I figured that was an easier way I had a lot of other things they would break things they actually when I unpacked the food they actually were eating my food they invaded my privacy they destroyed boxes and there was a guy named Mike who was in charge of this moving for moving my things and with two other people and I am still not over this and never will be! I'm very suicidal over this I'm extremely suicidal over this how anybody can be that evil steal from a customer and it wasn't just a little bit of stuff well that's bad enough but they sold a lot of things! I don't have any clothes and jackets, they stole a lot of clothes they stole all my CDs and there's a list of things that they gave me not to pack and I have to sign it that says don't pack all these things and I just thought it was procedure to sign it but it wasn't me giving them permission to steal from me if I packed all these things just because I signed that paper and most of those things were I was moving that I packed, practically everything on that paper they say not to pack was what I was moving like my jewelry and everything and I said to them I go you're not going to steal from me! AND they did and I'm not over it I'm very extremely suicidal over this I'm so suicidal you have no idea they left at 12:00 midnight and I have an elevator in my home they started at 9:00 in the morning and they leave at 12:00 midnight at my new location when I have an elevator in my home which would have been a faster thing they could have been out of here in no time with an elevator in my home and they still wanted to take their time because the company gets paid by the hour and even in the morning they were taking their time they didn't start right away they were taking their time I should have gotten rid of them but I had to be out by the 31st of where I was living in Pomona it took them a very long time from the time they pulled away with the truck and left! It took them a very long time forget that they can't go on the Thruway it was way longer than that they were invading my privacy they went through my things they took some things out of some boxes and put them in other boxes I know what I packed and how I packed everything and it was very secure and they went through all of my stuff and took my things and threw them away or took them for themselves because they didn't want to bring my things to me how anybody could be that evil and mentally ill to steal from a customer is beyond me but they did and I'm not never going to be over it! They disrespected me so much they invaded my privacy they stole and I'm talking they stole a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot of things for me and they broke things and they ate my food I empty wrappers of food they ate my peanuts my crackers and I was all on the up and up on everything with these owners and manager I was only up and up all I do was make an appointment! I had a lot of things I hired them in good faith and my things were ripped off and the owner was taking my order form off the internet he was condoning what they did do and said they went out for pizza when they took a very long time to get to my new location, they ate my food I had empty wrappers they ate my food! The owner they told them said it would be a 4-Hour job which it should have been but they purposely took their time because they were getting paid by the hour and then these movers well they're not movers they are ROBBERS! It is exactly as if they broke into my apartment and stole all of those things they stole a lot of stuff it ruined my life for the rest of my life it totally destroyed my life totally destroyed my life how these evil mentally ill Three robbers disguised as movers could just steal from a customer is beyond me it ruined my life forever and ever it totally destroyed me of what they did they stole a lot of things from me they broke things they destroyed boxes the boxes were torn apart of what they did give me they took things out of some boxes and put them in other boxes and put things together that I know I would never do they would take things out of some boxes and put it in with something else that didn't belong together! And I've never said this about anybody ever I do wish them death very soon because of how they treated me and I'm a religious person and they I want them to die as well as the manager and the owner I want them to die the owner was condoning what they did do by taking my order form off the website and saying they went out for pizza when they didn't I had a lot more boxes than what they gave me a lot more! The management and owners of Movers201 should be very grateful to their movers, because the men who did the physical work of this company are the reason they are getting a 4-star review (there are no half stars). There was a severe lack of communication and dodging from the company; The belongings took significantly longer to arrive than we were originally told (originally 7 days total, became 18 days). However, that was not as frustrating as being given delayed date after delayed date with no real concrete idea of when the movers would be arriving. It took six attempts at contact with the company (all imitated by us) before we were given an actual day, let alone a day they actually stuck to. The men who came to pick up the belongings were quick, efficient, friendly, and professional. The men who arrived to drop off the stuff were equally so, especially with it being 8pm in 90 degree Arizona heat. The move (though not huge) was done quickly and everything arrived with no damage to the items within. The men who interacted with us in-person were the highlight of this company and that cannot overstated. The struggle of trying to get a hold of the management and owner to get information was like pulling teeth (aggravating, painful, and unnecessary). Amir was originally very quick at responding and cordial with the affair. But after the we had finalized the move, he was very difficult to get a hold of, and would not respond to texts or calls to the company's main line. If the delivery date had to be moved (for matter reason, COVID or no COIVD), that should have been made available to us. We would have been significantly ore understanding and amicable. But being blindsided multiple times by a company that had all of our belongings and were paid in full is not something that would sit right with anyone. Giving bad news is not fun ( we all know that) and we would all love to avoid it, but it is a part of owning a business. No matter the circumstances, the lack of communication is not professional or comforting coming from a *paid* customer standpoint. We will probably not be using Movers201 in the future because of the fiasco of dealing with management, but it is definitely not because of the mover workers themselves (those guys are awesome!) read more

I recently used Movers 201 to move 40+ boxes of personal and household goods from storage in The Bronx to a storage facility in Los Angeles, all coordinated from where I live in Mexico. Amir was terrific in accommodating me with a quick reservation so I could avoid another month's storage rent in NYC - I called on a Tuesday, May 26 and he slotted my cross country move for the following Saturday, May 30. His team arrived when they said they would on Saturday and 17 days later I had everything in LA. On both ends the movers were friendly, respectful and very helpful. I needed 2 days notice before delivery so I could drive from MX to LA and I was notified of an approximate delivery date several days in advance. Then, Tomas, the lead mover, kept me apprised daily of his progress once he was in the West. When he closed in on LA he gave me two choices for delivery days and times, a Monday evening or a Tuesday morning. I chose Tuesday. He estimated arriving between 8am and 9am and then updated it to between 9 and 11. The delay was because of when he and the truck arrived in the area the night before. He further explained why the Tuesday time had changed a little (the law requires that drivers have 10 hours rest before continuing). He notified me a half hour before actual arrival and arrived exactly when he said he would. He and the other fellow with him were very kind and pulled out the boxes I didn't want in storage and put them in my car for me. This was an altogether stressless move thanks to Amir and his team. I would recommend them heartily to anyone who wants a solid, professional move with a minimum of hassle and aggravation. Amir was quite responsive by phone (not so much responding to texts and emails but who cares when I could reach him by phone so easily). And, the price was the best of the 8 movers I contacted. There was no nickel and dime-ing with Movers 201. The price was fixed and there were none of the myriad additional charges that many movers try to finagle. Movers 201 is the best! Don't waste your time and energy looking for a better mover because you won't find one. read more

Let me start by saying that I rarely put up a review, but these guys did such a great job that I simply had to give them a public review. I was able to get a quote within minutes using the Yelp platform. I gave them a list of things I needed moved, they provided their own customer platform on their site so that I can make any changed between the day I got my quote and the date of my move. Very transparent, I knew what I was getting from day one. Never have I had such peace of mind after booking a mover. The move was scheduled for 9:30AM and they were at my door waiting to get started by 9:20. I was moving from one apartment building to another, so I had to coordinate the elevator reservation and be sure that we were able to hit the move-out/in window for both buildings. I have a large, extremely heavy, granite dining table which has been an absolute pain in the past to move. I told them when I booked them that it was heavy and would probably be the most difficult thing to move in my home especially since it barely fit in the old apartment's elevator. Movers 201 came in and 10 minutes flat had the table wrapped, secured and out of my apartment. Loading conditions were rough in my building but they got that sucker in the truck in no time flat. That alone won a glowing review from me. They went even farther however, the guys were nice and cordial and made the transition as enjoyable as they could. To give you all some numbers... I was moving a large one bedroom apartment. The move took 4 hours, and if I did not have that large granite table, I have no doubt that they would've completed the move in half the time. Price-wise, they were very fair. When comparing quotes, they were not the cheapest, but were far from the most expensive. I would've gladly paid more for their high-class service. I moved from a 1-bedroom apt to a home only 5 mins away. While I only had several large pieces to move (I took a lot over by car!), I also had a few things I needed help with at the home, like carrying a mattress up from the basement and getting back a large recliner from my sister's house across the street. I was anxious about everything. I chose Movers 201 after reading reviews. I called a few other companies but there were too many rules. I got a quote from Movers 201 and then called. They basically told me they'd would take whatever I needed them to take AND do all the extras I needed, no problem. I left a piddly $25 deposit to confirm! (some companies wanted 50%) The move was scheduled to start betw 9-10 AM. Prince and John showed up about 9:02 AM. Both of them were terriific; so nice and very accommodating. They wrapped my items and carried them out quickly. I didn't have to tell them to watch the newly painted walls and doors. They moved the mattress from the basement in about 40 seconds. Too bad I worried about it for a week! They got the recliner from my sister's. They placed every piece exactly where I asked them to, whether that be up or down a flight of stairs. They were neat, efficient and very friendly. The move was set for 3 hours and they were done by about 10:50 AM. Best part, they charged slightly LESS than my quote! Can't beat that. Movers201 moved me from Bogota to Garfield on March 15th, 2018. About two weeks before the date I started my search for a moving company. The first thing that came up in the search was Movers201. I began reading the reviews and they were all 5 stars! I was like, these are the guys for me! I don't need to look any further. I contacted Amir and got a very prompt response, just like the reviews said! He gave me a quote which was extremely reasonable and affordable for me. I spent about 3 weeks packing so by the day of the move I was stressed AF. (I mean, really, does anyone LOVE moving?) The movers were to show up between 8:30 to 9:30 am. They were there 8:30 on the dot. My stress was quite obvious and Hassan and Josh assured me that they would take care of me. And they did. They were so quick to get everything on the truck and just as quick to move all my stuff into my new apartment. Nothing damaged as everything was handled with care.They were so nice I almost hated to see them go. Everything that other people have said in their reviews is true....Great rates, great communication, great moving guys. I rarely post reviews anywhere unless I have a really great experience or a really bad experience. So here goes... Initially, I got a quote of $129 per hour for 6 to 7 hours plus a travel charge. Tony, the main guy, came with 2 helpers right on time at 9am. They took care of my stuff as if it was their own. Padded and wrapped everything. Took extra care of fragile stuff. And even removed a TV off the wall for me. They were done with the entire move in about 3 hours. This includes a three story walk-up on one end and a single story house on the other. They asked where to place every item in the new location so we just arranged everything and we were good to go. The only thing that was damaged during the entire move was a light bulb. Pretty good if you ask me. I had quite a few other moving companies come and give me an in-person quote after looking at my stuff and you wouldn't believe the prices. $855!! $1072!! $1380!! A lot of these other companies were using nickel-and-diming techniques charging extra for wardrobe boxes and TV boxes. These guys supplied everything! And when I say everything, I mean everything! Padding, TV boxes, wardrobe boxes, etc. Basically, couldn't be happier with these guys. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone that needs movers. read more

I hired Movers 201 to move my wife and I to our new home and I cannot say enough good things about this company. It started with Amir coming to my house to give me real pricing and not fluff estimates. Prices were totally fair for the work and in the end, worth every penny. This is the best moving experience I've ever had. A few things set this company apart for me: 1. You confirm your move online and you get Elsie reminders leading up to the move. This gives you clear details about your move rather than scheduling on the phone and nothing to show for it if no one shows up. The level of detail movers 201 does from a business standpoint is impressive. 2. They showed up EARLY! Too often these days things tend to run late and you're stuck waiting. Movers 201 were great. They were discovered and recommended by a family member and I couldn't be happier. I'll be recommending them to all my friends who are moving. Brigitte was great at giving me a fair and accurate quote with no hidden fees. She set expectations on what the minimum amount would be. We ended up going an hour over but knowing what the rate was, I wasn't at all surprised at the final total. Most importantly, the two movers - Prince and Kyle were AMAZING. They were so respectful of our stuff and moved it the way I would have. They communicated clearly the whole time and really went out of their way to make us feel taken care of. I have used 201 Movers for 4 moves over the past 3 years. Recently I moved my dad out of assisted living back to my home and I had a lot of furniture within my home to move prior to them bringing in the furniture they had on the truck. Ron and Josh were extremely professional and never once tried to extend the time to take me over the minimum hours I needed. They are pleasant, hard workers and got the job done quickly with a lot of energy and professionalism. Amir has been wonderful to deal with and I have never questioned their accountability for being on time. I have to say that they have made all my moves a pleasure. I would highly recommend them as they are reasonable in cost as well professional. When dad was moving into assisted living the establishment where he was moving gave us three movers that they were working with. Movers201 In early April, we had to make a major move. Everything had to be packed up and put in storage and the dates kept changing. From the start, Movers201 worked to accommodate our schedule and address our packing needs as well. The morning of the move, there was a snowstorm. We thought for sure that the move would be too risky and would be canceled, but in less than an hour from the scheduled time we got a call from Amir----and then Steve and his crew (Josh, Darwin, and Saco) showed up and did the MOST magnificent job of carefully packing all of our furniture, artwork, mirrors, and assorted fragile items. They even boxed up and labeled the stuff we had packed into smaller boxes and plastic bins. In short, they were amazing! It was a long, arduous day---and they never, ever stopped working. We were exhausted just watching them! Each man was courteous, professional, and exceptionally pleasant---all day long.
