Tommy's Moving was fantastic!! They arrived on time and hustled, getting the whole move done quickly and efficiently. They took great care of our things and were very reasonably priced compared to other local moving companies. I highly recommend Tommy's Moving. Thank you! read more

One of the best moving experiences I've had. Tommy's team arrived on time, worked nonstop, and completed everything quickly and efficiently. Albi and his crew from Tommy's Moving were rockstars. Clear communication and took direction, prompt and polite. Albi got back to me right away with scheduling and provided all of the info I needed. Him and his team were very professional and kept the experience moving. Very strong guys. Worthwhile value in Hoboken and will definitely use them again in the future. They let me check the truck to make sure we were all clear, thanks guys!! read more

I've used Tommy's 3 times and they've been great every time. Nothings ever been broken and they always put in the work to make things fit when I feel like other companies might've said it can't be done. read more

Great price and great door to door service in Hoboken. No surprise add ons. Crew hustled all the way through.!

I used Tommy's moving for the first time. everything ran smoothly and timely. Albie and his crew were very professional. We encountered no issues. definitely will call them again and will recommend the company to family and friends! Thank you for a non-stressful move. read more

I recently used Tommy's moving to move from Manalapan to Howell. They were extremely professional and worked nonstop to complete our move. They put every box and piece of furniture exactly where we asked them to. They even put the beds back together and put clothes (that were on hangers) in the closets. The price was very reasonable and even after having to make two trips the job was done ahead of schedule. I will definitely recommend using them. Thank you Albie and crew. I appreciate you all. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I absolutely would. Albie and his crew from Tommy's moving were the dream team. Showed up on time, handled the move like total pros--quick, careful, and not a single thing out of place. But here's where they really went above and beyond: after the move, I asked if they'd be willing to help build a patio set that honestly looked like it came with a PhD requirement. Totally not in the job description--but they jumped in with great attitudes and helped me get it done. Legends. For the record, this wasn't included in the move but I made sure I paid them extra for this because it took up a ton of their time. Everyone was friendly, professional, and just easy to work with. Pricing was super fair, and they didn't do the whole "drag-it-out-to-bill-you-more" thing I've (unfortunately) dealt with before. If you're in Hoboken or Jersey City and want movers you can actually trust--and maybe even want to grab a beer with afterward--these are your guys. read more

Tommy's moving did a fantastic job with our recent move. When searching for movers most companies had automated pricing systems and there wasn't a real person to discuss logistics with. At Tommy's I dealt directly with Albie who was able to accommodate our move that included multiple stops to pick up furniture and had transparent pricing. What was most impressive was how quickly the team was able to handle everything (just three hours for a multi stop move!). We also had fragile items such as marble tables and large mirrors which got delivered without a scratch. read more

Ive used Tommy's for several moves. They make the process smooth and they're easy to communicate with throughout. The price is fair and they are efficient. Recommend for your next move! read more

We hired Tommy's to move multiple times. They are extremely professional, careful and hard working. They always get the job done quicker than we expect and they are very reasonably priced. read more

I just used Tommy's for my third move in Hoboken (my son was moving from our home to his own place), and I wouldn't use anyone else in town. For one thing, I like to use local businesses when I can, and I also already knew that they're professional, reasonably priced, and know exactly how Hoboken "works" for pesky little things like parking, etc. I arranged the move with the company's owner, Albie, a few weeks before we expected to close. I ordered the "No Parking" signs from the City for the move date as he instructed. At the last minute, it looked as if the closing, which was scheduled for the day before the move, might not happen due to one of those homebuying "hiccups" that can happen. I was afraid to tell Albie that we might have to reschedule only two days before our planned moving day. I figured he'd tell me that he'd have to charge me for the lost time, etc., and that we wouldn't be able to reschedule for at least another week. Albie's response? "No big deal. Just let me know when you're ready to move and we'll do it." He told me that "this stuff happens all the time," but I'm pretty sure that most movers would charge to reschedule at the last minute! Fortunately, things worked out so that my son could move on the date we'd planned. My son, who is a musician, was very nervous about his (expensive) music equipment being moved safely to a 5th-floor walkup. But when I asked him how things had gone when they got to his new place, he told me that they were fast and VERY careful, and that I should write them a good review (not something he usually thinks about). And I was happy to do so, considering how great Tommy's has been for all our moves! read more

If you're moving in Hoboken, just stop looking and book Tommy's Moving right now. I've used them for three moves over the past 5 years and am always amazed at how efficient they get the job done. They moved and assembled all of my furniture in one hour and were so so so helpful. All of the workers are so friendly and Albie is truly the best. You have to pay for a 3-hour minimum to book them but it's worth every penny for a stress-free move - even if it takes way less than the 3 hours like it did for me. read more

This is the third Tommy's has moved me. They are always on time, fast, careful, and patient. The team is extremely professional and friendly. I hate moving but they make it easy. They also are mindful of the current climate regarding COVID and I felt very safe. All my friends use them and throughout the years they have handled many our various moves. read more

Tommy's Moving - Movers Near Me - Hoboken, New Jersey

After getting quotes from a few different moving companies for a move between West New York and Hoboken, we selected Tommy's since they were the least complicated to communicate with and they were very straight forward in email about their pricing and quotes. Plus, they had really good reviews online and are local in Hoboken. While Tommy's hourly rate & pricing is comparable to the other companies we spoke with, they proved themselves to be super-efficient and timely. Our move was a 3 part move - from a 1 bedroom apartment in West New York (elevator building) to a small 2 bedroom apartment in Hoboken (5th floor walk up) to our final stop - an elevator building in Hoboken. They did the entire move in just under 3.5 hours! Other companies were quoting us a minimum of 5 hours. The manager Albie and 5 of his men showed up right on time at 9 am and got to work. They wasted no time and efficiently got through all 3 stops. They were also super friendly. We were blown away how quickly and smoothly the move was completed. I'd definitely recommend Tommy's movers to anyone completing a move in the Hoboken local area. read more

We used Tommy's last month for our move within Hoboken. Can't say enough positive things about them! Albie was great with communication; very responsive and timely. They were punctual and I was blown away by how fast they worked. They moved us in about 4.5 hours. A three-bedroom apartment with almost 100 boxes plus furniture. They were also super friendly. Highly recommend! read more

Tommy's Moving is the BEST! I have used them many times and would highly recommend them. Albie is very easy to communicate with by phone and email. Each of the guys on his team are polite and professional. They are efficient and careful with furniture and boxes. Tommy's is also very affordable. Finally, they are animal friendly:) read more

Could not recommend this moving company more, they are awesome! Extremely responsive, very well priced, and overall provide a great customer experience. They take the stress out of moving. read more

The quote process was simple and they showed up ahead of schedule and QUICKLY moved everything out of our 2 BR/ 2 BA apartment onto the truck. We then had 2 stops (one where we are staying and the 2nd was our storage unit). Albie and his crew are VERY good at what they do. Polite, fast, friendly and fair prices. I HIGHLY recommend their services. read more

I've moved with Tommy's three times and each time they were reliable, dependent, and trustworthy. They treat your furniture with great care and get the job quickly. They simply never stop hustling. Couldn't recommend enough. read more

We hired Tommy's for our move from Hoboken to Weehawken in April. They were great. The move was quick. No damages. The price was good. It took minimal effort to get a quote and set up the appointment. And, they arrived right on time. We had an extremely challenging piece of furniture to be moved for its size and weight, and it needed to be taken around tight corners and up and down stairs. Tommy's got it done. They even took the time to consult me before moving it around one bend because they were concerned about scuffing the wall. read more

If you text Albie, he usually gets right back to you in a matter of seconds. His crew arrived on time and worked super fast. There were a couple of "tight fit" pieces of furniture they had to deal with (and two long staircases!), and they worked hard to manoeuver everything in. Everyone on the crew was friendly and courteous. read more

Called them for a quote. Spoke to a nice guy on the phone who told me to send photos of everything we'd be moving so we can get a quote. Someone emailed me back 2 days after I sent the photos saying to get in touch. I called the number he provided several times and responded to the email to no avail (it's two weeks after my email with the pics, we already had to book other movers). Never heard back at all, and they have my address and pictures of all of my stuff... which just seems creepy. If they weren't available - though we have a flexible move date - or didn't want the job, they could've just said that. Sent in a few other requests for quotes with other companies and didn't hear back from all of them, but this is the only one where we connected, talked some details, they got pictures of my whole apartment, and then ghosted. Can't speak to the quality of their services, but this whole thing really rubbed me the wrong way. read more

Great response time and fantastically reasonable pricing. That's why I picked Tommy. Why I'll select him again is because of the outstanding service he and his crew provided. What a loss off my mind and big help on short notice. read more

We hired Tommy's moving when moving out of hoboken to monmouth county. Tommy and his team were on time, very fast, friendly, and well priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for movers in the area. read more

In past moves, I have always used Flat Rate movers because I loved that they guaranteed a price and you couldn't go over it. However, in my recent Hoboken move, I decided I want to try something different (and more affordable) and I am really glad I did. From start to finish I think it took about 2 hours for the movers to move my entire one bedroom apartment (including an oversized bed, sectional couch, and many other things). Not only were the movers very fast but they were extremely nice and helpful, they went above and beyond to help me move a few lose things that didn't fit into boxes. In any future move I will definitely be using Tommy's Moving and would highly recommend them to anyone else looking for movers in Hoboken! read more

Wow! I was told many times Tommy's is the way to go--and I can see why. I moved last week. Booking them was super easy and they were very clear on what was needed and what the charges were (with no extra hidden charges). They're also flexible--the day before I called to see if they could push it by an hour--and they were able to. I had a 2nd floor one-bedroom moved into a 1st floor apt. From the moment they stepped foot into my apartment and till I handed over their payment (and tip!) it was all done in an hour and two minutes. Amazing. They had a solid group of guys who truly worked quickly and were careful with my items. They didn't waste a second and continuously worked! Would definitely use them again! read more

Albie and the crew from Tommy's Moving are EXCEPTIONAL! We have moved many times within Hoboken and my only complaint is that I did not find them sooner! From initial scheduling to the day of the move, the process was easy and communication was great. They moved us out of our condo, into a storage unit, and back home within 6 months after we were flooded from Hurricane Ida. They dealt with our schedule changes due to contractor delays and were very understanding. They disassembled and reassembled our furniture and put everything back where it belonged. The whole crew was friendly, polite, and worked quickly but carefully. We highly recommend Tommy's Moving !! read more

Impressed!! What an easy move! Tommy himself scheduled us. His guys showed up right on time and were quick! They had moving blankets and dollies and had most of the move out done in about 20 minutes. Move in was just as quick. Really nice guys, they were careful and asked questions about what's fragile or where to put things. Not only did they do a great job, but even after a good tip they were still cheaper than other companies we called. Very happy and will recommend to friends in the area. read more

Short Story: These guys were amazing. Everyone was friendly, polite, efficient, obviously pros and fast! Moving is stressful, but made they it so easy - I'm willing to move again. Will definitely ask them to move me again. Long Story: A co-worker who had moved within Hoboken (a few years ago) had suggested them to me. My move was from JC to another town in Hudson county. Everyone, including Tommy himself, the women who I corresponded with on the phone and the crew that came on the day of the move were pleasant to work with. I threw in a wrench a week before the move by adding a second destination, but they all took care of it. Everything was handled with care and each item was in the desired location at the destination (kitchen stuff in the kitchen, bedroom stuff in the bedroom; they will ask where you want your stuff if they are not labeled - which was nice) Suggestion for those moving: label your boxes of where you wan them to go. Listen to Tommy's instructions (get parking permits in advance, check elevator schedule at both destination, etc.). Be nice! (moving is literally back-breaking work) - they are there to help you and make your life easier. read more

Albie and his team were fantastic. They were very efficient- got us out of our 2 bedroom apartment in an hour and a half, and into our house in about an hour (approx. 45 mins between the two for reference). If you live in the greater Hoboken/Jersey City area and you're looking for a moving company, you need to use Tommy's. They are simply the best out there. I had a substantial move for my 5th floor walk-up apartment (3 piece sectional, dresser, king sized bed, coffee table, and boxes upon boxes upon boxes of other belongings) and these guys made this process absolutely painless. Fast workers, personable, flexible, and efficient - all qualities you look for in a good moving company. Not to mention this is also the most affordable moving company in town. I was expecting this process to be a nightmare considering how many items needed to be moved and the fact that I lived in a 5th floor walk-up. Albie and his crew immediately alleviated all my stresses. If I could give these guys a 6 star review, I would! read more

Would definitely choose Tommy's again! We moved this weekend within Hoboken and it was seamless, almost too easy! The whole process only took about 1.5 hours. The guys arrived right on time and were lifting boxes within 30 seconds of walking in the door. They were super efficient and they definitely respect that you're paying by the clock. All of our belongings were transported safe and sound. These guys disassemble/reassemble furniture so fast, as well as wrap anything breakable, for example our TV. All 3 of the guys were pleasant to work with and we really appreciated their help. Price was reasonable too, compared to all of the companies I reached out to for quotes. Thanks again Tommy's! read more

Easy move within Hoboken but this crew made it even easier. They were quick to respond to my inquiry and came over to access unit and provide estimate. On the day of the move they showed up on time and got right to it. They helped wrap up some valuables and ensured our belongings and furniture were handled with care. All the crew were super friendly and professional. They finished about 45 minutes earlier than expected. Definitely recommend. read more

I usually do not give reviews. This is the second time we hired Tommy's moving. Our first experience was amazing hassle free moving so based on our first experience we decided to go with them the second time. Al really stepped up the game. And our moving was scheduled on time as well as finished on time. But this time the service was pathetic. There was no direction. No professionalism. The team had 4 people and all of them blamed each other for the mistakes. They broke our mirror, they broke our cabinet, with no apologies. They kept calling Tommy for all small things, nobody took ownership of whatever was happening. We had really bad experience this time. They left one of the steel bars that goes under the bed in our old home. I am so disappointed. Didn't want to give bad review but we had horrible experience. There was no team work is all I can say. read more

This business takes on the qualities of its owners, Tommy and Albie-professional, fair, kind, hard-working and trustworthy. We hired them for a very big job which was to move us out of our home of 41 years. We were so overwhelmed with the prospect of a move from a 3000 sq ft home to a 1000 Sq ft home. We hired them to pack up our place, move us out to a new home, take items to a local bookstore as a donation, take items to my downtown office and to put garbage and throwaways on the curb. We worked with his movers intensely for two days and we were over the moon satisfied with entire experience. It all started when Tommy came to our home to provide us an estimate. Immediately we knew the kind of integrity he had. He was easy-going, explained everything in much detail, and most importantly generated the kind of peace of mind we needed because he made this very difficult whirlwind experience suddenly doable, affordable and we felt immediate calm. You could tell he was experienced and his estimate was right on point. A few weeks later five of his workers showed up on time to our home with all the packing material and worked seamlessly from room to room in collaboration with us to pack up our beloved home. They took such care with all our property. The next day, the team returned to move us out. Amazingly, we had zero casualties during the process. Not one thing was damaged or broken throughout the entire process. The only thing We would have done differently was to have had the guys pack the boxes in such a way, lighter, so that when we had to unpack them in our new home, we would be able to lift the boxes ourselves. They packed the boxes to the rim and those muscular men could lift them with ease. We couldn't. If we could've, we would've given so much more in a gratuity because they were all just excellent and deserving. About a two weeks later we needed another item moved into our home and we called on them for a specialty job and they bent some of their rules to accommodate our request. There was a bit of a hassle that was remedied fairly and generously by Tommy. This is the kind of leadership they have at this business. And I can't express enough in words how much I would recommend this company to anyone considering a move. We understand very clearly why they received five stars and if we could, we would give them more than 5 stars. read more
