We wanted to save some money and decided we really only needed help moving furniture so it was really nice that they charged a flat rate based specific items. After living in another Hoboken apartment for almost 6 years, my building was sold to a large management company and I had to move within 30 days. Can't say enough good things about Christopher and his team. Just hired them for a move within Hoboken on 2/2/17. We had a group of 4 guys - they were friendly, efficient, fast and had great attitudes despite all of the stairs (on both sides of the move). They were also patient when our couch got stuck in the stairway of our new building. The guys tried everything to make it up the stairs, and when we finally accepted that it wasn't moving, Christopher offered to hold the couch on his truck for us for a few days until we could figure out what to do with it - free of charge. He ended up dropping it back off at our apartment the next day when we hired the NYC Couch Surgeon (also highly recommend) to disassemble it to get it upstairs. Fair price, nice guys, hard workers. Had a great experience with these guys! Very professional and polite, as well as efficient and gentle with my items. They helped us in a major pinch. Needed them in an emergency and they were able to accept our job, demonstrate insurance qualifications, and get to our apartment within 12 hours of initial contact, even when they had another job directly after ours. We had some pretty heavy stuff and they came with all their own moving materials and got us moved in within 30 minutes (we hired them for 1.5 hours). Have to add on to the Jersey Movers love here on Yelp. These guys were the truth. My wife and I had to move our things from a second floor walk-up in Jersey City to a storage unit, also in JC. Chris is the owner of the business and was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional in all of our phone calls leading up to the move. He and his crew (two other guys) arrived about 30 minutes late, which started to concern me, but as soon as they arrived, they got right to work. Don't freak out if that happens with these guys. It's just part of the business. Some things that we loved: -The crew wrapped all of our furniture in blankets to avoid scratches. -The crew wrapped items in plastic wrap to protect them in the storage unit (armchair, tv, etc). -The crew worked the whole time. The breaks that they took were small and reasonable. -Chris ended up charging me more than the original quote, but it wasn't absurd and definitely seemed fair...it took a lot longer than anticipated because they had to take an elevator up to my storage unit. Totally unforeseen and not their fault. -Overall, the price was good. It wasn't so low that they seemed to be underselling themselves, but I never felt like he was ripping me off (like the last guys I had move our stuff). -We found some random items under a dresser and the guys boxed them up for us. When my wife and I return to Jersey City, we will definitely hire Jersey Movers again! read more

My move was really last minute and a personal headache but these guys made it so much better on the day of the move. I called Wednesday and after getting a "sorry we don't have anything available" from two other companies I finally got a yes from Jersey Movers. I got a quote and a time all on the phone and a confirmation was sent to my email the same day. I was asked for a list of items (which was only a one bedroom move) and was left with a "see you soon" which made me breathe a little easier lol. The day of the move I had a 1pm appointment, I got a call at 1:15 saying they were about 30-40mins away and long and behold they showed up at 12:50pm. It was a 4 man team and everything was out my apartment and in the truck by 1:15pm. Unloading was just as fast so everything was done by 1:57pm. So fast so efficient and no damage to anything not even the floors or walls. The guys were super nice and had great energy! read more
