Furniture packed with so much care.
    Naomi H.

It took me over a month to choose a moving company to haul my entire life from California to North Carolina. I am SO happy I chose Roadway. From day 1 Jorge walked me through the process and answered all of my many questions. Unlike other companies I spoke with, Roadway was able to actually lower my cost when I chose not to take certain furniture pieces with me on my move. Other companies would've had me locked into a price. The crew who loaded me up showed up on time and were so super friendly. My husband had to leave a month before me and our kids so I was alone in packing and handling the entire move. I wasn't done packing yet when they arrived but the crew was so helpful and went above and beyond and even helped me pack a few things that were left undone when they arrived. They handled everything with such care and the way they wrapped and packed my furniture was incredible. On the receiving end, I had the please of having Alex D and his crew deliver my belongings and even though it was in the high 90s and humid as heck, they never stopped working. They also handled all of my things with great care and attention to detail. They were on time and kept me updated on delivery for two days prior. They were incredibly kind and funny. In all, my things were picked up on August 4th by the local pickup team, loaded onto a bigger tractor trailer and left the Roadway warehouse on August 11th and was delivered to me August 18th. It was 2 weeks in total which is still much less time than I was quoted by other companies. I think it's important to note that my mother also made this move and went with a different large, LA based company who charged her over $1,000 on the day of pickup for "expedited shipping" which "guarantees" delivery within a 3 day window (August 5-8) even though they had told her prior to her signing contract that they would be able to deliver in that timeframe and no added cost was mentioned. Her items didn't even leave their warehouse until August 4th and weren't delivered until August 15th. Much of her furniture and boxes were destroyed. It almost made me feel guilty that my move and experience with Roadway was so flawless. **added to note I was a "Packed By Owner" customer. I packed my own boxes. Everything showed up still in good condition. I'm not done unpacking boxes, however my furniture showed up in perfect condition and I am SO GRATEFUL. Thank you, Roadway Team, for making the most hectic and stressful move so much easier for me.

I'm not sure where to start with this review as this service is just so phenomenal that I just don't know where to begin. The whole process moving and packing from one apartment to another took around 3 hours, which if you have moved before, is insanely fast. We didn't have to lift a finger to do anything. For my first time using a moving company I thought I would have to pack a little beforehand, so all the movers had to do was bring it from one location to another - nope. They did everything. I'll explain more below ---------About the movers-------- These are such hardworking, nice and honest people. One of the movers first came up to survey our apartment to see how much stuff we had, which rooms were which so they can organize accordingly. Once that was done, they got to work. They had a team of 5-7 movers, and you can tell they were all proficient at the job. Emilio was our point person, and he was a great guy to work with. He was enthusiastic and made moving a fun and casual experience. We are usually nervous about moving day, but Emilio made sure that everything was handled. ---------About the service-------- They started with the living room and brought all of the material needed to safely protect all items. TVs, monitors, couch, and tables all had edge protection. Glasses, silverware, mugs all were individually wrapped with tons of paper. There was no way they would be breaking. They are very good at handling fragile items. Even with the heavy items they can move them with ease. They neatly boxed up everything in each nook and cranny of our apartment into their corresponding boxes and labeled them accordingly. They will ask whether you want to keep an item or not. They don't just toss stuff away so don't worry. Once all the items are protected and pack they will drive over to the new location and place boxes accordingly. They will reassemble items that they had previously dissembled and will unbox fragile items. We had a great experience with this moving company. Definitely an A++ rating, will be using this service for our future moves!

    Here they are!

Alrighty , I have to tell you first that I consider myself somewhat of a moving expert. Over the last 30 years, we have had more than 12 corporate moves all over the country and dozens more local ones in multiple states and cities. So of course when my adult daughter was moving from place to place in New York City I felt I had to be there to " assist"! Well, there was absolutely no need . Miguel and Robert could not have been nicer and they whirled through everything all the while taking care of her things as if the came from the MET! Trust me, this young lady of mine thinks her memory box is just as valuable! Lol, they did a great job! I hate to say it , but we have had moves that cost more than a brand new vehicle. Roadway Moving was equally ( if not more so) competent and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Not a thing was broken which is almost unheard of and they were neat and tidy. Professionalism at its best. But the real test of how good a mover is? Remember I said I was an expert? How well the bed was put together! Everyone slept like a baby. Don't hesitate. The city is hectic enough. Let Robert and Miguel worry about your move.

    Delivery day!

The team picked up my belongings on the day I selected and were prompt and efficient. They disassembled some of my more complex furniture systematically, wrapping and boxing even the weirdest shaped pieces for safety. I never moved with a company who also label every piece with a personalized sticker. I was provided an accurate itemized inventory to approve of before they left. Communication was solid as well. Once my items were en route (moved from Maryland to California) they sent me several messages with one letting me know the eta. Delivery was also seamless! My family and I were very impressed. Will use again!

They are professional, efficient, mostly careful with belongings, and consistently helpful. If I could hire the movers themselves, I would; they are the strongest part of this company. Unfortunately, the claims/ and most customer service experience is the complete opposite, and it has reached a point where I would hesitate to use Clutter again. My original (close-out) appointment was cancelled because Clutter attempted a second authorization on my card without notifying me despite the fact that all fees had already been paid. I keep my cards locked due to past fraud, so the lack of communication directly caused the cancellation. When I contacted the claims department, the responses I received were unprofessional, templated, and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging this, the representative by the name of Dayane responded with, "I'm sorry that you felt the need to..." - a phrase that is inappropriate, unprofessional, and shifts blame onto the customer rather than addressing the company's actions. To make matters worse, when the issue was escalated, the next representative, used the phrase "from your perspective." As someone who has worked in customer service for most of my career, I know the difference between neutral language and dismissive, liability‑shielding language. Phrases like "your perspective" or "you felt the need to" are not neutral - they minimize the actual issue and place the burden back on the customer. This is not how I was trained to speak to customers, even in difficult situations, and it's concerning to see it used repeatedly as part of their standard script. To be fair, Karoll did offer to schedule a call, and I appreciated the willingness to follow up. But the fact that it took escalation to receive a basic level of professionalism only highlights the inconsistency and lack of training within the claims/customer service team. Clutter has a great concept and outstanding movers, but the claims/customer service department needs serious improvement. Until that happens, the customer service experience - not the movers - is the reason I would think twice before using Clutter again. BTW - A clothing rack and several of my bins were returned broken

AVOID CLUTTER. My inventory is currently fragmented across two states. Despite initially confirming…read morethat items shipped from Florida would be integrated into my Seattle account, they later sequestered new items in Florida without notifying me that they would be trapped in a separate regional silo. Now that I am in New Jersey, Clutter refuses to consolidate or deliver my property, citing "service area" restrictions. The most absurd part of this ordeal was support suggesting I fly to Florida to meet a truck in a "Walmart parking lot" to retrieve my own items. Much like other customers who have reported massive additional fees and logistical deadlocks due to Clutter's refusal to consolidate separate pickup locations, I have found their system to be a series of intentional hurdles designed to keep property sequestered behind "system glitches".

A about 3 foot x 2 foot x 1 foot (approx) ceramic and metal sculpture was included in the move as they had appropriately and successfully moved the piece before with NY. As appropriate, the contract included foam encasement of the rather delicate sculpture that only has a few attachment sites to the metal frame (a bike) and multiple ceramic figures with arms, legs, hands, and a sun for a head. Moises packers used about 6-10 loosely folded pieces of paper (newsprint sized - daily NY post not NY times sized paper) around the sculpture, and another 2 ish pieces sort of crumpled around the top (see photo of just opened box w top and top packaging visible.) deliverers took same photo, I assume, since they snapped shots at the same time. In addition, the "box" was folded around the top of the sculpture, which (originally) had sun rays poking through DURING SHIPMENT. As is visible in a photo, some of the sun rays broke off (big surprise), and the rest suffered obvious damage and chipping. Of the 3 ceramic pieces originally attached to the bike frame, two broke off completely and suffered major damage. All figures lost some body parts, most lost fingers and parts of / damage to feet. Notice severe breakage in photo of the broken off figures in photo. Other items also came out damaged, just less valuable and more like cracks, stress fractures, and broken shelving / separators in , for example, a large lucite unit (2ftx3ishftx4ft). Also packing was clearly more intended to create chargeable packing volume than protection. Dishes that were already in smaller manageable boxes were repacked into a huge (now super heavy) box putting the dishes together (still have to check breakage at bottom of huge triple box) with about a foot of mostly open space at top (chargeable space!!!) and a few barely folded (literally 2 or 3) pieces of newsprint on top to "protect" against vertical movement during transport. And an echo dot was the ONLY item contained in a regular 1ft x 1ft x 2ft box - with a little folded paper again for company. And boxes going to 3 locations were supposed to be dropped off at ups, where ups repackaged (at our cost) and shipped (at our cost. Because from ups they went to 3 separate locations, but all went together from starting point to ups, we were charged $500 base charge for each final location - even though moishe's only took a single trip to ups to drop off the about 8 pre-marked for location boxes. DO NOT TRUST MOISHE's - AND THEY WONT EVEN REVERSE SHIPPING CHARGES AFTER ALL THE DAMAGE, INAPPROPRIATE PACKING TO OVERCHARGE SPACE, OVER CHARGE TO UPS... THEY ARE NEITHER RELIABLE NOR RESPONSIVE TO CONCERNS.
