Unresponsive, multiple emails & texts left unanswered for days. After several follow ups, eventually gave a price quote but in the end, noted that they are unable to provide required COIs. Would have been much more helpful if this is disclosed in the beginning. All buildings require COIs. Additionally, a much more timely response, either yes or now is very important to customers to avoid last minute scrambling to find a different moving company to finish the job. No amount of discounts or under market pricing is worth this poor service. read more

I have used Sam and his moving services several times throughout the years. They have always given me the best rates. However with a recent move the building required COI and Sam informed me that he doesn't have it. If you need affordable movers then I'd recommend Sanho but keep in mind if your destination building or landlord requires COI, then you'll need to look elsewhere. read more

Moving is one of the most stressful things (second to building a house!) Well, we spent 3.5 years building our dream house - yesterday was the big day (the move). I was really dreading it, being a worry wort I was worried about items being damaged, floors being scratched, etc. Turns out, I had nothing to worry about. Sam and his crew were true professionals. We told them which pieces were most important to us (ie to take more care) and they listened and complied. All in all, the move lasted 6 hours (started at 9:15 and finished at 3:15pm). He was super smart and fast with packing his truck with my things, driving it over from Chinatown to Astoria for a good price (ps cash is KING). I have so much sh*t, I felt bad for his crew but they managed in the blistering summer of NYC July. Sam even helped take apart my bed and set it back up in my new room in the new apt. The last time I used these guys, it was for my girlfriend. This time, it was for me. You know, you don't really know how much junk you have until you start putting them into boxes. Unfortunately for me, I didn't start until 2 days before the move. So when Sam quoted me originally, it was for 1/3 of the boxes. That said, they were super professional and didn't even charge me for the extra items. They had 5 guys moving me out of an old Chinatown walk up including my Queen sized bed. They both disassembled and reassembled the bed frame. There's not enough good things to say about these guys other than, you'll be a fool to not use them. Hopefully you don't have to move. Moving during pandemic with a toddler in tow? Sweat NOT! Sanho is your hero! Pandemic and the much needed personal outdoor space for our lo has forced us to trade our 2bdr + 2bth apartment life in NYC for a backyard galore in the burbs. We contacted a few companies but Sanho offered the most reasonable flat rate. We confirmed our date and time via email and phone call. They were punctual on moving day and were wearing masks the whole time. Two people wrapped and moved out our stuff from top floor apartment unit in a couple of hours. They were polite, efficient, and remain friendly even when they had to do some rearrangement in their truck to fit all of our stuff in. When we arrived at our new place, Sanho and his team reassembled some of our furniture and place them carefully in each designated room. Ahh.. everything is well again.. This was my first time ever hiring a moving company, although I've moved multiple times in the city over the last 10 years (I have strong friends and family lol). A friend of mine recommended Sam and said he's used them repeatedly for moves. And now I know why! Sam gave me a reasonable flat rate, and came ON TIME! His movers grabbed all my furniture, boxes, etc. and carefully carried them to the truck. He was constantly checking in with me to see which items were going or to be trashed. And he was very personable. Emptied out the apartment in less than an hour. Then, his team moved all of my stuff into my 3rd floor walk-up and placed furniture exactly where I wanted it. He even adjusted pieces to stand level on these wonky old wood floors. They finished the move in record time during a heat wave, and IN MASKS! We moved out to Jersey from Brooklyn at the end of December 2019 and hired Zeromax, who had good reviews, however, the actual service was terrible. The movers were late, damaged some furniture, re-assembled the furniture very poorly, and were lazy. They basically were dragging out the time because we had agreed to pay an additional fee for each hour past the agreed upon amount of time. That was our foolish mistake. They ended up taking 11 hours to move a 2 br apt to a town in Essex County. In addition we had already packed all the boxes so they only needed to load and unload. They took so long that my brother in law and I actually moved 20 boxes out of the truck ourselves because my wife just wanted them gone. When I needed someone to move some of our remaining items in Brooklyn, I looked for another company and was so relieved I found Sanho. WOW! WOW! WOW! No frills but they just get the job done fast and efficiently. We did not have as much stuff but Sanho finished in under 2 hours. I imagine had they moved our apartment in December they would have finished in 4 hours. If you want fast and efficient, Sanho is absolutely the way to go. read more

I tried reaching out for a quote. He wanted to see the place in person. I told him my availability and it was just so hard to coordinate with him. Wouldn't give me the time of day. I can't speak to his work but he does not seem like a reliable business owner. If it's this hard to get a quote, I can only imagine what my moving day would look like. If you thought your ethnic moving company was the ish, go Chinese and I promise it'll be worth your while. Sanho (三和) is a no nonsense moving company operating out of Brooklyn with the same premise as just about every other Chinese moving company: Do it well, do it fast, and do it now. Only in this city like ours is there such an abundant scene of Chinese movers. There are a lot of undervalued ethnic businesses, but the market here is literally one of a kind. They tend to be listed only in Chinese classifieds or their services are outlined in Chinese publications. If it weren't for the efforts of many, it's likely Sanho wouldn't be listed on Yelp either. Depending on the amount of stuff that needs to be moved, they'll send a small crew and truck that consists of Sam and as many as 3 guys. Sam's English is good, which means Sanho is super gringo friendly. He will likely be the one who answers the phone, makes the arrangements, and collects the money. Be prepared to give a realistic breakdown of what kind of move is expected and know what kind of furniture needs to be dismantled prior to any move. The crew works so fast, they managed to clear out a 1 bedroom apartment loaded with stuff (furniture, boxes, bags, etc.) in just a hair under 20 minutes, all while feverishly running back and forth from the truck into the apartment. After meeting me at my new place, they were able to unload the stuff, setup some furniture (for a fee), and generally move things where they need to be in under an hour. Some folks might be worried about the abuse of any product with how quickly they go, but I was pretty direct about which things needed cautious handling. Instead of taking their sweet time milking the hours to get more money out of me, they work quickly so they can head to other jobs they have lined up in other parts of NYC. That my friends, is what is called demand. The damage on my end? $300 including tip for 3 hours, two apartments, traffic and wait time. Sam sent 3 guys (including him) to move my family out of a 2 bed/2 bath. They were prompt on the date of delivery. Nothing was damaged during the 15 min ride within borough move. They did another fantastic job unloading and, without asking, they proactively sorted our furnitures and boxes to the first vs basement floor. Another amazing thing was the beyond reasonable moving cost, which was 50% of what competitors asked for. They definitely delivered (no pun intended) quality service. One word of caution though, make sure that you confirm with Sam the moving date the day of since he almost forgot about mine. Needed to make a move in 7 days from Brooklyn to Poughkeepsie, NY and contacted the owner Sam about a quote and availability. Sam was very quick to respond by both email and phone/text and provided an affordable flat rate fee that I was satisfied with. I had an issue on my initial move date and had to reschedule to another day. Sam was able to accommodate my request and reschedule a few days later on the weekend with no change in price. On the day of my move, they arrived right on time as agreed and very quickly surveyed my boxes and items to be moved in a strategic fashion. Sam and his partner were very professional and started moving my things very fast and carefully. They helped wrap and secure my furniture and and sensitive boxes to prevent damage with their own moving tools/supplies and even provided me free moving boxes to store more loose items that I hadn't packed properly. When it came to move my large leather sofa that couldn't fit through the door, they also carefully unhinged my door with their power tools and safely moved the sofa through to the truck. That's great value added customer service! Within an hour, they had moved everything from my 1 bed room apartment and were on the way to Poughkeepsie. 2 hours later they arrived at my new apartment and carefully unpacked and arranged all my items in perfect condition! I was very pleased with the professionalism of Sam and his team and would gladly use them again for any future moves and highly recommend them! Efficient, on time, a no headache moving company! Scheduled a 10:30am move, they arrived early and waited until I got there. I didn't have that many things, but they still wrapped whatever furniture I had to make sure nothing was damaged. After they finished loading everything into the truck, they drove off to the storage unit and I went on my own. By the time I arrived at the storage location, they had already unloaded everything into the elevator and was waiting for me to finish up the paperwork so they could move things into the unit! The whole move only took about 2 hours and it was a very painless experience thanks to Sanho. The rate was also the cheapest out of 3 companies I called. I called Sanho to assist my company with moving some furniture and equipment. I had contacted a number of moving companies in my search and Sanho was one of the more affordable ones, since my company had a pretty low budget. After speaking with Sanho on the phone, they appeared to be extremely nice and were willing to offer their services for a price that would fit our budget. Looking at the great Yelp comments, I decided to go with them. We called them 2 days before our move and they were pretty flexible with fitting us into their schedule. They also used email, which was a plus in communicating what we had to move and in allowing them to provide a more accurate quote. There were a couple of mishaps the day of the move, since there were some delays due to situations beyond their control (e.g. Traffic), but they maintained great communication with us. We had quite a lot of stuff, including boxes, tables, chairs, cubicle walls, etc. and they moved everything efficiently among their three movers without complaints. We also had to move everything up the stairs at the final location and they were able to do it within an hour's time. They were extremely professional and shrink wrapped everything, making sure to protect our furniture; they also disassembled the larger furniture for us. Sanho arrived fifteen minutes earlier than the time slot, which I really like. I was all packed and just waiting. They wrapped my drawers in plastic only, but they were so careful that there was no damage even without blanket. Sam was kind to me and to his helper - a boss that treats his employee well is a good sign. I feel lucky that my friend recommended them to me. I was searching task rabbit and didn't like that they have so many hidden fees. The estimate Sanho gave me was the price I paid (plus tips). THE WORST MOVING COMPANY !!! I called a few weeks before my move to get an estimate, no one answer, apparently they never answer the phone. I had to communicate thru email which was annoying waiting hours for a response, finally I got a quote after sending a detail list of items. A week later I schedule my date of move all via email, 5 hours after the appointment was confirm I was told they can't do that date they will schedule for the following day, by this time I have already made arrangements for the day off at work. Finally it came down to my move yesterday 11/23/13 at 9am. No one called to confirm which they said they will in the email, I called the company about 25x and went to voicemail all day, as you guessed no one showed up, luckily I had another company that actually charge me less and got the job done in 3hrs, at about 5 pm almost 8hrs later I get a TEXT MESSAGE, no call nothing, but the text stated that the person left their phone by their friends house the night before and they also overslept !! Really this is how they run a business ... I would never recommend this company and I can say there are cheaper company out there that do move fast and efficient. THE WORST MOVING COMPANY!!! Let me also add the location of their business is fake, I personally went by and it's a residential area... They are most likely an illegal company. read more
