My car stalled on Highway 237 and as part of the roadside assistance of my insurance carrier, Bill's Towing Service came to my rescue. I was told to wait for 40 minutes but Marvin (of Bill's Towing) arrived 20 minutes early so right off the bat, I was impressed. Marvin then took me to his air-conditioned truck while he was loading my car into his truck. What started as an otherwise stressful situation (being stuck in the middle of the freeway) turned out to be a really pleasant ride to where I was supposed to go. Marvin has excellent customer care skills and he makes sure that you are at ease and relieved of all stress once he is there to help you. I seldom write Yelp reviews but when I encounter a service person like Marvin, I want to share it with the whole world because it is so hard to find people like him these days. my car was towed by this company not by choice because I forgot to move my car the night prior to los altos festival, they picked up my car at 5:45pm by 7:00 pm for a 5 min tow they charged me $200 plus $70 storage fee (from 6:15 at their lot to 7 ) and a gate fee ????? of $100. Shout out to CJ! After a long and difficult day(check out my review of South Bay towing) my insurance company sent out this towing service. CJ was extremely helpful and was able to do all the things that the previous towing service said they couldn't do. There were some difficulties of getting my car onto the truck but he put in all of his effort and went above and beyond to make sure my car was secure. I know some other guys would've just gotten lazy. He got out to me in less than 45 mins and provided the best service I could ask for. So that's why this review is strictly for him. I was in a horrible car accident recently, Bill's towing company picked my air up. I road back with the tow truck driver. The lot was closed at the time. I retrieved my paperwork and a few other items I could carry.. the tow truck driver told me not to worry about the other stuff, my insurance company would pick the car up and I could then later retrieve my items. When I went to retrieve my items, my multifunctional battery pack, jumper cables, and extension hitch to my tow package were missing. When I called to inquire, they acted like they didn't know who I was, then said they would follow up and never did. When I called back to follow up, there was a complete denial. My point in this review, is to inform people, be aware, regardless what these companies say... they pray on people whom are vulnerable. The fact they acted like they didn't know who I was, when they did, and never followed up, was a clear indication of their intentions. Lesson learned. I do not recommend this company read more

Marvin came by to tow my car to the shop. When he arrived, the car wouldn't move despite being in neutral. Throughout the whole ordeal, he was professional and honest. What I particularly appreciate is that he was very friendly to my wife who had to manage the tow. I used Bill's on a recommendation from my shop, and am glad I did. I was apart of an accident recently and the owner/Manager (Ike) of this towing company was extremely volatile. I arrived on a Saturday morning (a time in which you must pay an extra $120 to even see your car, which is not the problem here) to view my car with another people who was accompanying me. Right when he opened the door he replied "what do you want, we are closed". Even though I had just called his employee asking if I could come. He then started being extremely aggressive to me about payment and such when I had already agreed to it over the phone and was aware of the extra charge. He, for some reason, got frustrated when I asked "why can't we both go a see the car". Now I know thought that legally only the owner can see it, but this man responded by saying: " Excuse me, I do not have to help you one bit or even be here you asshole. Get out of my store and come back Monday -- come back Monday you ass -- Monday is when I'll let you have your shit". Does anyone agree that is not okay service after I simply asked a question? Don't get me wrong, I bet he does some okay work, but his people skills are shit. Calling a customer an "Asshole" and stating it's not your responsibility to give me back my possessions after someone drove my car off the road and then just left (might I add I was 100% sober and tested), is outrageous. So, anyone that has their car towed to Ike's business, get ready for a man with a trucker mouth and a short temper. I bet his a nice man in some cases, but this was just not acceptable. Any business owner knows one bad interaction can impact you more then you think. I would give this man a 0/5, so get ready for a mouth full before you get your car folks. I don't want his business to be hurt, I simply want him/others to see this so he can improve upon his business/social skills. Because no one whats to deal with that. read more

On Friday December 9th we got there around 4:40 pm. While we parked and notice the notice on their door that the office was closed today, took as good 6-7 minutes. We called and a woman said, sorry the office was closed, I said we are here and we just saw the note, my tools are in my truck (impounded by the Menlo Park police) and all I need is to take my tools. She said we charge $100 for opening the office after hours, I said it's not five yet. Ok she said, someone will be there. After a while we see a tow car towing a car and going 70 miles the hour into the garage. So fast that we could not see into what part of the garage he went into, it took me a while to guess why he was doing that. After 5 minutes or so he shows up by the office door, from the inside, and he is screaming at us, very rudely to move the car from near the garage. We get into the office and he wants to charge the $100 Dollars and I say we've been here before 5 O'clock, he said, no you weren't and anyway the office was closed today. We didn't have the money, he was bringing a car, and he did not come just for us, he was bringing a car. But he wanted the money and he told us on our face "You are not my friends, you are not my relatives, I don't know you, I don't need to help you, it's not worth it" there is the door, bye!. This guy left me in shock. I was about to get my credit card and pay. I was in shock; I have never seen a person talk like that, never! I didn't even argue with that human. I would not recommend this tow service to anyone. I had to put a star otherwise the review wouldn't post. read more

Outstanding service - very nice people - made the very best of a tough situation for me. My motorcycle broke down in Sunnyvale and I had to get back to San Leandro. I called the American Motorcyclist Association (which offers FREE road service/towing with membership) and they arranged to send a truck from Bill's towing. The driver, Troy, was amazing! Arrived before promised with a nice flat bed truck. He's a motorcyclist as well so he knew my frustration as well as knowing how to secure the bike safely and properly. Once we got on the road he stopped and double checked everything just to make sure everything was secure. The trip back to San Leandro was great - excellent conversation and bike stories. Once we arrived back at my house Troy quickly unloaded the bike and he was on his way. Couldn't ask for a better experience. This review is for Bill's Towing Service and specifically for CJ. I was stuck in a parking lot in Cupertino late tonight since my car wasn't starting. Called my insurance company and the kind representative to whom I spoke to immediately contacted Bill's Towing Service. The window given to me was about 30 minutes. However, within about 15 minutes itself CJ had arrived in the lot to help me. As soon as he came, he very politely greeted me and thanked me for waiting. He went on to assure me that he will help fix my car soon. Within a few minutes, everything was fine and my car was good to go. I was feeling bad that CJ had to come so late to help start my car (especially since it was unusually cold outside). However, CJ genuinely seemed like someone who liked to help others. All along, he was very cheerful and we even chatted a bit. Great job CJ. I am very grateful to you for your immense help. Thanks to you, I was able to get home tonight. read more
