My daughter went to get tires, they failed to explain the extra charges with the tires on special. They also claimed they had talked to me about the charges when she started to question it. They did not talk price with me at all. This was a blatant lie. I authorized her to buy new tires, but they rushed her to sign without explaining the invoice. I believe they manipulated her to buy much more than she needed. They saw a young lady with her mom's credit card and took advantage of her and when questioned, refused to take even the tire warranty charge off the bill. I called in with an issue of purchasing tires at your location but getting it patched at another big o location. The person on the phone stated "I have to go to the big o that patched my tire because your database is insufficient and doesn't show other franchises information." I then requested to speak with a manager because I need this problem resolved because it is a big o tire and big o patch. "He stated again you have to speak to the location that patched it" I persisted again I would like to speak to a manager. That's when he stated " This F***ing idiot doesn't understand" while handing the phone to the manager. I requested the original person's name from the manager which he wouldn't provide and said he would handle it. I asked again for the name. Sobi can put in a formal complaint on this individual. The manager wouldn't provide it. I have called and put in a complaint with corporate!!! I will also be providing this information to the better business bureau!!!! Also the patch that big o put in was on the ridge and discount said it should have never been done there If you wat to be treated poorly and a subpar database come here. The tire pressure light was going on in my car every couple weeks and I'd lose about 5lbs of pressure. I took it Midway Chevrolet where I bought the car. They couldn't find a leak and said they even submerged it in water and couldn't find a leak. Then I had the Mazda dealership check it when they replaced the battery and they couldn't find anything wrong with the tire either. They suggested I take it to Discount Tire. I prefer Big O to Discount. I called less than an hour before they closed on Saturday and spoke to Treno. He said to bring it in and they would look at it. They checked it out and found a nail in the tire. How two car dealerships missed that is a complete mystery to me! They repaired the tire very quickly and had me back on the road. A lot of businesses would not have taken the time so close to their closing time but Treno and the guys at Big O were the exception and therefore, have earned a new customer. Okay so I have to take a moment and praise three of the kindest guys I have ever encountered in a car repair shop. Treno, Chop, and Rob have been absolutely fantastic in helping me with getting my car fixed. When I stupidly threw away my whole tire after getting a flat I needed a new rim and tire so Chop helped me find a replacement that was much cheaper for me to get myself instead of getting it at the dealership! I saved $150 because of his kindness and patience with me. I am super ignorant about almost anything with cars and Treno and Rob helped explain the issues with my car in a kind and thoughtful manner. Actually tried to scam me I called Big O Tires last night for a price on an oil change, and was quoted 33$ dollars on the phone. I set up an appointment for today and arrived accordingly. Whenever walked into the store I was initially met by a young gentleman who greeted me and asked me my reason for being there. I let him know I was there for an oil change, which prompted an older gentleman working alongside him (seemingly more tenured) to say "don't worry i'll take care of it". So i was directed to work with him. This older worker didn't inform me he was the same worker I had actually spoken with previously on the phone. This is for context later. He writes up my name information and hands me an order with 43$ dollar amount. I look over the document and tell him I was previously quoted 33$ on the phone. The older gentleman then says "Oh that was me actually, yes we can still do that then" He then turns around and has the exact same document just now with the the 33$ amount at the bottom! I say, "I didn't see you print out anything new? How did you get that so fast". To which the older gentleman could only then think of a lie on the spot about how he had printed earlier, but why would he print out two at the same time. My guess is hoping i'd sign the 43$ amount, and If i didn't having the 33$ as a back up. Tried to scam me for $10 extra and instead got 0, terrible business. read more

Rob and his team are just amazing. We moved to Phoenix last year and didn't really know which shop to use for mechanical work on our cars. All of his staff have proven their honesty again and again. We recently bought a new car and took it to a dealership for a recall repair, and they quoted us $2500 for additional work, but when we took it to Big O again for a second opinion they said it was completely unnecessary. We also had a water pump installed on another car, and their price was very fair. Their work is 100% professional and they don't charge for anything you don't need. Initially went in for an alignment and came out purchasing two tires as well. They crew was friendly and thorough with my options.

Had a simple nail in tire. After they quoted me repair price, they said it couldn't be patched. I saw where the nail was, in middle of tread, not even close to sidewall. They tried getting me up buy an 180 tire instead. Had them put tire back on and left, where right down the road it was determined that the nail didn't even puncture the tire so no repair needed. read more

Big O Tires do not work together. So if you buy a tire in Globe, as we did, and it fails, Big O in Phoenix will not help you. This location called Globe but didn't relay the full message from the owner which resulted in a tense conversation with him later. The GM also spoke to the manager as if we were not standing right in front of him. So just a buyer beware this customer service is not customer friendly. Go to Discount Tires. Can't say enough good things about Big O on Bell and 23rd Ave. HONEST to a fault, and they do good work. Saved my family from being scammed for over $1000 in false repairs. So I learned this year that our dealership (Camelback VW) was defrauding us! They told us we needed all these repairs including expensive fluid exchanges and a laundry list of other things, all totaling over $1000. The items they listed were urgent (as in, you can't keep driving this car till you get them done). COVID had put our family into a compromised state income-wise, so I figured I would at least try to shave off a couple hundred by taking the car to the local guys (Big O on Bell and 23rd Ave has a full-service garage and charge a fair price). So I gave the guys at Big O the list of repairs the dealership provided, and asked them to get it all done. Turns out over half the items DID NOT NEED TO BE DONE. The dealership was straight up lying to us (AND price gouging). I knew they overcharged, but had no idea they were actually scamming people by fabricating unnecessary repairs. I now know it's common at dealerships so QUESTION EVERYTHING yours tells you. Took my car to Big O to get an alignment for $89.00. They told me we needed to replace the lower control arm. Total with parts, labor, alignment and taxes $667.00 Well we approved the repair. Get a call back later. The control arm didn't come complete so now we need to charge you for the ball joint. We reluctantly agreed but wanted to speak to a manager who was at the gym at the time. Got a call back two hours later saying the control arm was replaced but now my lug nuts were stripped out and it wasn't their fault $108 extra. Well they weren't stripped out when we took the car in. The manager was still at the gym at this time so I couldn't talk to him. I told them to complete the repair because I need my car back but I still wanted to talk to a manager. Went to pick my car up. The manger sat there while I spoke to Tom the service writer and acted as if he didn't know what was going on. When I finally spoke to him he had a bad attitude and told me big O was not liable for any damage they caused to my car. It's their policy. I do not recommend going to this Big O. The manger on duty on 3-30-2022 at 3pm Chops Miller does not know what customer service is and should be terminated. Also Tom was professional I will give him a good rating. read more

After seeing the quite reasonable cost of an oil change I recently started to go to Big O tires on Boswell just north of Bell. Last time I went I was called to the bay only for them to show me a nail in my tire. Hmmm, have not been having trouble with any of my tires but do understand that can happen. I did feel quite suspect at that time and just in the last week the cost of my 2 tires went up $100. I was not pleased with that but being a single female retiree I got the tires. Now on to my next visit which was yesterday and at the end of my oil change was again asked to go look at my tires. I was told they are dry and cracking and I needed 2 new tires. NOW my holy crap kicked in. I did not go look as he kept trying to get me to do. I am pretty sure some dramatic statements would have been made as to the urgency for me to buy those tires. I left with a copy of the last invoice I paid and the quote, which by the way was again higher. Not happy and concerned about going to Big O I called another chain. They were quite a bit cheaper. I was curious as to if I even needed new tires so I drove down there. Turns out they did not see that I needed new tires now and since I garage my vehicle I had some time left before new ones were necessary. I URGE all seniors and others to be vigilant in checking on any suggested add ons to a service. Please also let your friends know how I was treated there. I feel things are overpriced in Sun City as well as unnecessary sometimes. Save some money and do your due diligence. Sometimes cheap ends up costing more~this is the second garage in the area that has been aggressive in their service and cost! read more

The gentlemen at the big O tires have been taking care of my tires and oil changes for years (with multiple vehicles). All of the staff is always great and honest with me. I have had a blowout and almost died not too long ago (which I always have to tell the story every time I come in because I get so nervous about my tires) and the lovely staff alway reassures my fears (and without making me feel silly with telling them the same story every time I get serviced)! I have been coming here for years and recommend this store 111%. I never feel uncomfortable to come here by myself and am always happy with the prompt service. Nobody ever tries to up-sell me on unneeded products (tires) even thought they very well could (see above, super paranoid about my tires). **DO NOT GO HERE-NOT SAFE** Manager Chop Miller is beyond rude and has absolutely no customer service skills. This company does not care about their customers safety. After they "fixed/replaced" a caliper, my brakes felt worse than before they were "fixed". I left the staff know that I felt something was wrong. Chop said it was nothing they did wrong, they couldn't do anything about it. Brushed me off and allowed me to leave in my unsafe vehicle. I took it another brake place for a second opinion, they said the CALIPER WAS PUT ON INCORRECTLY BY BIG O TIRES. Big O Tires put a right caliper on the left side which caused no brake pressure. I took it back to Big O Tires, told them what the other brake company said, after arguing with Chop, he finally agreed to fix it. After it was fixed, Chop tossed my keys and paperwork at me and said "You have more things wrong but I'm not going to tell you about them." WOW who does that?! They only care about their bottom line and not the safety of their customers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TRUST THEM WITH YOUR SAFETY. **DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP** Had a coupon for an oil change when I left Big O Tires 2248 W Bell Rd Phoenix, AZ 85023 my check engine light and oil light came on took back to shop they drained oil and refilled & reset the indicator lights, however the same day the lights both check engine and oil light came back on refused to diagnosis or take responsibility said if I find out from another shop they did something wrong then they will make it right. Took vehicle to Brakes plus told them I just had an oil change and these lights are on can they give me a diagnosis which they charged $104.00 for they said the oil in the vehicle was so thick the oil pump could not pump oil they changed oil to the correct 5-20w but said the oil pump needs replaced and will cost $3000.00!!! Big o tire manager Chop Miller said sorry not their fault they put in correct oil and cannot explain why lights came on not their problem or fault. TOTALLY coincidental; Yeah right-LIARS. read more

I bought 4 new truck tires from them. They incorrectly balanced them and had to take the truck back. When they rebalanced them they cross threaded and stripped one of the studs and lug nuts. They said they weren't responsible for their error because the paper you sign says so. That's total and complete bull. So they offered to fix their mistake for an extra $60. I complained so they said they'd lower it to $30. Complete insanity. They want me to pay for something they broke. I'll never go there again. I'm taking my business to Discount Tire Company. read more
