1/2 rack of ribs, seasoned fries, Mac and cheese, and rolls
    Bradley J.

Big Hoffa's was a great meal and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I ordered the half rack of ribs with seasoned fries, mac and cheese, and rolls. There was a lot of food for the price, and the ribs had plenty of meat on them. The fries were solid, and while the mac and cheese wasn't my favorite and reminded me a bit of cafeteria mac and cheese, I still left full and had leftovers to take home. The food was ready surprisingly fast, probably within 7 to 10 minutes. The staff was friendly throughout the visit and did a great job checking in on us, clearing trays, and making sure everything was going well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As for the atmosphere, I can appreciate the theme they were going for, even if it's not quite my style. The dining room is pretty dark, and the dark murals make it feel even darker.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That said, the food and service easily made up for it. Overall, it was a really good experience and a place I'd happily visit again.

My husband and I have repeatedly been told how good the food is at Big Hoffas, so it's been on our list to visit for a loooong time. That is why it pains me to be giving this 3-star review. It's not that anything was bad, but after all the hype, we just weren't impressed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Let me start off by saying that the space is very cool. I loved the dark, swamp-themed mural painted on the wall, the banging playlist and the inclusion of a bar in the back as well as the ice cream counter[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The staff were jovial, accommodating and extremely pleasant to interact with. My husband and I both ordered 1/2 slab rib combos. My 1/2 was much larger/meatier than his, so we swapped. The combo comes with two sides. We both ordered the baked beans, he had the coleslaw, and I had the macaroni and cheese. Categorically, everything was ok...good even, but not great or amazing, which were the words that we'd heard from others. Perhaps we didn't order the right items. The ribs were beautiful with the perfect smoke ring. They were seasoned well, but they were not as tender as I would've liked. I like my ribs to be fall-off-the-bone tender, but I know that isn't necessarily the industry standard. The sauce options were mild and hot, but I could barely distinguish the difference between the two. Hot is not spicy. The macaroni and cheese could've used some salt and pepper, but the baked beans were spot-on. The beans were on the sweet side, which is just how I like them. The platter is also served with soft, buttery, rolls with garlic.

Big Hoffa's was A-OK in my book! Came to Indy for a bball tournament and had some time to kill in between games to grab some lunch. Hubby and I ordered a meal for two and it came with your choice of 2 meats plus ribs, and 2 sides along with bread rolls, and pickled veggies. We decided on the pulled chicken, brisket, ribs, with sides of Mac n cheese and bbq beans. Everything was delicious and very filling. Kinda sad that I didn't get to order dessert as we decided too late and didn't want to get back in line. Restaurant is set up where you're in line to place your order and pick up your order at the other counter. Line can get a little long but it goes by pretty fast. You then seat yourself and all the condiments, sauce, and drinks are all at different stations for self serve. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are plenty of seats inside and even a bar inside the restaurant. Very casual and kid friendly atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Such good BBQ. Being from San Diego, I always like to try local favorites and Big Hoffa's did not disappoint. Service was outstanding, every person I encountered was very nice and helpful!! Great place for families or groups of people!! Tried the Brisket Sandwich and some ribs a friend gave me. Whatever they used to create that crust on the ribs was perfect!! Not too sweet, not too overbearing, just money!!! Finished it off with Peach Cobbler which you can pick up after you eat, I thought that was pretty cool (you order everything at once). Will be back next year when we're in town!!

This is the first real barbecue place I've tried in the area and it's delicious. They have their own unique twists on many things and it's all really good! The brisket sandwich and rack of ribs were juicy and tender. [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the staff is super friendly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall its just really what you want from a barbecue joint. We didn't get to try the ice cream but all of the flavors look fantastic as well.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Big Hoffa's is such a vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's always busy, has great food, and fun atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The speak easy is a nice touch to a classic staple of Westfield.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This smokehouse BBQ spot is absolutely worth the hype and an easy add to the regular rotation. Got here right when they opened and there was already a big line out the door, which is always a good sign for a BBQ place. Even though it was busy, the line moved at a reasonable pace and the food made the wait more than worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere had that casual, bustling smokehouse feel that works well for both adults and families.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food itself was the standout. The meat was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly -- juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you go out for BBQ. The fries were very crispy and well done, not soggy or limp, and the mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and super satisfying as a side. Everything on the plate felt fresh and hot, not like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. It was also a big win for our family. Our toddler loved it so much she ate her entire kids' meal, which almost never happens, so that really says a lot about how good the food was. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and it felt like an easy, low-stress place to bring a little one. Between the great BBQ, solid sides, and how well it worked for our toddler, this is definitely a spot we'll be coming back to again.

Came in on a Saturday night and OMG it was great!!! Pros - Quick service - Amazing quality. Meat was spectacular!! - Sassafrass tea was delicious! - Homemade pickles were great - Pricing not bad ($45 for two plates and an extra side of pickles) Cons - I can't eat it daily!

This food is amazing! We just moved to Westfield and knew we wanted to try this place. We did order a delivery and were initially brought the incorrect food, but they quickly resolved the issue and delivered the correct order immediately. We can't wait to visit the actual restaurant someday soon. Highly recommend!

We stepped into the lounge area of Big Hoffa's (+21). It was a blast! The bartender was so great to talk to and she gave us a lot of info about the food and theme/history of the restaurant. I highly recommend the wings and the brisket. 10/10 food. Honestly everything was amazing. Not a bad thing on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely check this lounge out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We have drove by this place so many times and finally decided to stop in. The parking lot was jam packed so we thought that's a good sign. We walked in and didn't see the door inside the vestibule that said "enter" and went in the exit. We got ourselves righted and got in line. We wanted to keep it simple so we ordered the half rack of ribs and the brisket sandwich. The ribs fell off the bone and the brisket was delicious. My personal preference would be a little less barbecue sauce on the sandwich - that will be a request next time. Tried the peach cobbler for dessert which was very good but I was so full from dinner I couldn't eat much. Overall a fun, casual place to get pretty good barbecue.

We tried out the tavern and were amazed!! It's full service, so you can order food. The atmosphere was sooo cool, the bar was huge and filled with bourbons. The menu is extensive. I loooved their martinis, specifically the chocolate one!

I am so glad we did! Wedding food is often so-so, but our guests gave the Savory Mexican buffet (taco & nacho bar) great reviews! We chose ground beef, chipotle chicken, and grilled BBQ shrimp, along with vegan seasoned black beans. It also included queso, cilantro-lime rice, fajita vegetables, cilantro-lime sour cream, guacamole, flour tortillas, and taco chips, along with other sauces and salsas. This menu was perfect for our vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests, too. We had quite a few leftovers, which we froze for easy summer meals (no leftover shrimp!!). The setup and serving team were great and kept the buffet well stocked. After booking Nameless Catering for the wedding, we decided to use them for the rehearsal dinner (also at Lizton Lodge) and chose their Signature Pasta menu. Again, this was the perfect choice. Though the per-person price seemed a bit high at first (though quite competitive), the quality and quantity of the food and the paper products made the cost worth it. I'd highly recommend Nameless Catering for your next wedding or other event.

The menu is a mix of bbq, soul and Southern style cooking. Cornbread, green beans, peach cobbler, etc., included. I had the bbq loaded baked potato with bbq beef brisket. The brisket is amazingly tender and moist. The potato was smothered in cheese, onions, jalapeños and bacon. Yum. The bbq sauces are very tasty. I had the tangy sauce which had a kick to it. My husband had the pork tenderloin sandwich. The pork was hand prepped and breaded and very good. The Sidewinder fries are the BEST in Indy area - hands down and the portion is generous. Everyone was stealing his fries. My granddaughter had the Kid's pork bbq slider with Mac and cheese. She also devoured a corn muffin. She loved her meal. Others had the Pork Bbq sandwich combo with backed beans. The beans are freshly prepared and crave worthy. Pork sandwiches had a generous amount of moist pulled pork. We ordered at the counter and food is prepared fresh so there's a bit of a wait during dinner hour. About half people get their food to go. Prices are reasonable - especially desserts. However, in planning the meal it had inadvertently been overlooked that Pizzology didn't open until 4pm. So, making a quick change of plans meant that we stopped in at Rackz almost directly in front of the Pizzology building. In case it's not obvious, this is a BBQ joint. There's accessible parking, an appropriate curb-cut, and the entryway is a pretty easy to maneuver one-sided glass door that is level to the ground. I found the interior to be a pretty good layout. There's also outside dining that's available when the weather is appropriate. The menu is consistent with most BBQ joints. Rackz offers both dinners (two sides and drink plus meat) or sandwich combos (only one side). The price range is generally in the $10-20 range, though they also offer some family-style options that go higher. So, we're talking BBQ, pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, ribs, and there's even a breaded tenderloin sandwich. They also have a "veggie BBQ dinner." Don't ask me, but it's on the menu. Sides are creative ranging from sidewinder fries to potato salad, mac n' cheese, baked beans, glazed carrots (which I got the chance to try from a fellow diner - I really did like these), and a few other items. I was honestly very impressed with the menu. They also have kids meals and a couple of different Wick's Pies (the classic sugar cream and pecan). I opted for pulled chicken sandwich with sidewinder fries. As we know, I always get iced tea. I really wanted to go for the breaded tenderloin, but I had a full afternoon and that's a splurge for me. However, I was super happy with this meal and would easily order it again. Employees are friendly. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Rackz also offers catering and they do have a rewards program. While this is a bit out of my way, I'd easily return when in the area.

Crispy and good size. - Do not order the side mac n cheese. $6 for some Stouffer's mac n cheese topped with the pimento cheese dip (that's basically nacho cheese dip). Overall, if someone asked to meet here for a meal I would request another restaurant but I'd still eat here if they insisted.
