Deli carrying Boar's Head line of meats and cheeses
    Ken N.

I've stopped in here a few times over the past five years and will say that my rating on this review may be low because of the construction going on which limits the store size/options currently as well as the lack of fresh produce that is in abundance during the summer and fall. During my visit, the deli seemed to be doing okay with its line of Boar's Head meats and cheeses. There were also some displays of local, artisan type food items available. Where the grocery falls short is that they simply don't have that much room to carry a large variety of packaged items like the big box stores. So, if you are fond of supporting local businesses and don't mind making a special trip, you can enjoy shopping here. But if you expect to get all your shopping done at one place, then this may be an occasional stop. Review #3696

I'm a long time fan of Broccoli Bill's. But their website and Yelp promo is way out of date. Caplinger's fish is gone. Sanibel fish is gone. Slapfish is in. So is Hot Toddy's baked goods are in. The deli is grossly underrated and not featured with Fresh salads and Entrees daily. Sundae's ice cream is fabulous, another hidden gem. You would not know about any of this online. It's a diamond in the rough, but you have to dig for it.

Broccoli Bills is such a cool little place. They've completely remodeled it to include Slapfish(a great restaurant), and ice cream bar, a dessert bar, and all kinds of cool grocery finds to make a great meal. More important, everyone seems to love their job. I really Appreciate that. The only bummer is that they don't have a great meat counter. Deli, yes, but I'd love to be able to pick up a great steak.

Nice cafeteria style seating area to enjoy your lunch in-house.

I'm going to take a bet that on your first excursion to Broccoli Bill's, you're going to drive right by it and not realize you missed it. {If you reach Guerin Catholic High School, you've gone too far north}. BB is located where Westfield/Carmel/Noblesville intersect. Owner Bill has expanded his operation over the years, adding new products, more seating and more vendors. Caplinger's Fresh Catch and Cuts just opened up shop inside the newly rebranded Broccoli Bill's Gray Road Market, and Natural Born Juicers of Mass Ave has a stand, too. Yay for incubating local businesses! Good amount of parking and an impressive amount of cafe style seating, making it a great place to grab a juice, get a fresh fish sandwich and sit down and enjoy in-house. Don't forget the fresh pastries and bread made in the BB kitchen, or the famous chicken salad!

I really wanted to love this place. It took over the space left vacant by Caplinger's in Noblesville inside Broccoli Bill's. The portion sizes we're larger than I expected and everything was a good deal for the price. We tried the calamari and clam chowder to start. The calamari was a bit overdone but would have had potential otherwise. The clam chowder had large chunks of potatoes but seemed a bit skimpy on the clams and was pretty runny. I like a thicker chowder. I ordered the fish and shrimp both done crispy (a less fattening sounding word for fried). Both were lightly coated with a cornmeal batter. Like the calamari, I found the shrimp to be a bit overdone. The fish was good but not a wow. My husband had the broiled fish and I liked that better. My meal came with 2 mini hush puppies and cole slaw. The hush puppies were my favorite thing and I wish they had been a bit bigger. The coleslaw was not cold which made it less appetizing. I am glad I tried it. I love checking out new places, but it wasn't a wow.

    Fish and shrimp. Delicious!

Confession: I had low expectations. Nothing they had done or things I had heard. In fact, I hadn't heard of it all. You're telling me there's somewhere I can go for delicious fried fish and I've never heard of it? No way. Went for lunch one day and got the fried shrimp and fish combo. Sure, grilled or blackened would have been healthier....but when fried fish is an option, you choose fried fish. The staff was super friendly and most importantly, my food was realllllly good. Their tartar sauce is really tasty, which isn't always the case at places. The steak fries were hot and crispy and the batter on the fish had the perfect amount of seasoning. I will definitely be returning!

5 words to explain this place:: A PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH This is not my 1st experience at Broccoli Bill's but each time gets better and better. The food is always fresh and hot and so good. My sister and I visit this place every time I come to town and visit her. Overall great food and great seeing

I had heard and read about Broccoli Bill's and motivated by my nice healthy lunch at Essence Cafe, decided to stop in and pick up items to whip up a dinner salad. The location is very cute and the building that houses this specialty market is immaculately maintained inside and out. However, I think I must have stopped by on a day or at a time when the stock was a little low. I'm guessing that weekends are when the most produce is available - or maybe I just expected a lot more local stuff. The corn, tomatoes and peaches all looked good, but I didn't see the overflowing bins of other fruits and veggies that I was anticipating. One big disappointment was not finding good lettuce - the two Romaine heads I did see arranged on the crushed ice were a little wilted so I ended up selling out and getting a bag of Romaine for my masterpiece. What I did like was the selection of staples, deli items (Boar's Head) and frozen foods. I picked up a portobello pasta sauce and some whole wheat pasta - thinking ahead to another of this week's dinners. The deli case was well stocked and the freezer had a fair selection of Schwan's items in it, which I don't recall ever seeing in a grocery before. The ice creams in particular caught my eye, but I stayed strong :-) I like the concept of Broccoli Bill's - it's sort of like a closer, fancier Stuckey's Orchard market store, only with a deli. They don't have everything here, but I think it provides a moment of nostalgia for those of us who remember mom-n-pop grocery or specialty food stores. The woman who waited on me at the register was very friendly and easy to converse with and took here time while ringing me up - that's something you don't always find at the mega-marts.

Hidden treasure for sure!!! Our group had a decent sampling of the shrimp offerings, crispy, grilled, Fire, small, large... all of it was terrific. The swai fillet was outstanding, super crunchy. The hush puppies were small, but really flavorful. Our sides were slaw, Mac & cheese, jambalaya, and a baked potato; everything was delightful. We will certainly be back to try more.

This is a great little market in Noblesville that's expanding to add Caplinger's fish market and Natural Born juicers. Both are great additions. Stop on in to pickup some of the best blackberries ever Surreal farms. There is a variety of fresh friuts. Make sure you take home some chicken salad and some slap yo mama potato salad (we at least thats what it will make you wanna do)

Great selection for a small farm market. Incredible service. The gentleman who helped me out was so nice and helped me find some good juice for the baby. Really like this place, and I will return. Very very clean. Nice mom selection outside. Very attractive little place. We will be back for lunch.

Grilled swai fillets with corn on the cobb and hush puppies

I absolutely love the Gray's Road Market! I ordered food from the Sanibel Seafood Company, which is fairly new, and I loved it! The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. I also loved my corn on the cobb and hush puppies. There also is tons of fresh and healthy food to buy from the market after you are done eating. There are a few other places to get food from in the market too, so I would love to check those out soon. This is the ideal spot for a relaxing and healthy lunch, any day of the week. I 100% would recommend eating here!

Right now you can get boars head deli meats, deli salads, bakery items, fresh produce local produce and products. Very nice, friendly, staff Nice outdoor seating Loved the potato salad

My only complaint would be the pricing. Those 6 pieces of fruit and a balloon was nearly $28 after tax.

If so, high five!) So! For our purposes, Market District is like an upscale Kroger. This Market District is much smaller than the Market District in Carmel. I was walking around, looking at all of the pretty food, and before I knew it, I had made a complete lap around the store. But even though it's pint-sized, there are still lots of great things all around. The bakery, especially, has lots of delicious-looking goodies. The meat section is tiny but tidy. The one section that seems abundant is the wine and liquor section. I saw some nice bottles of red wine. When I walked by the shelf-stable alternative milk, I was a little shocked to see so many varieties. Walnut milk, cashew milk, pistachio milk, sunflower milk, oat milk and even banana milk! That's not even all of them, either. This is the place to get your milks. It's nice to have a Market District in Westfield so close to Grand Park. This area felt like something was missing, and it was definitely a grocery store.
