Great BBQ. And the owner cooks a ton of food every year to feed the hungry and gropes like the first responders in the community.

The menu is a mix of bbq, soul and Southern style cooking. Cornbread, green beans, peach cobbler, etc., included. I had the bbq loaded baked potato with bbq beef brisket. The brisket is amazingly tender and moist. The potato was smothered in cheese, onions, jalapeños and bacon. Yum. The bbq sauces are very tasty. I had the tangy sauce which had a kick to it. My husband had the pork tenderloin sandwich. The pork was hand prepped and breaded and very good. The Sidewinder fries are the BEST in Indy area - hands down and the portion is generous. Everyone was stealing his fries. My granddaughter had the Kid's pork bbq slider with Mac and cheese. She also devoured a corn muffin. She loved her meal. Others had the Pork Bbq sandwich combo with backed beans. The beans are freshly prepared and crave worthy. Pork sandwiches had a generous amount of moist pulled pork. We ordered at the counter and food is prepared fresh so there's a bit of a wait during dinner hour. About half people get their food to go. Prices are reasonable - especially desserts. The dining area is small - maybe five tables. Seating is tight. The patio area outside is nice if the Indiana weather cooperates. I love this place.

However, in planning the meal it had inadvertently been overlooked that Pizzology didn't open until 4pm. So, making a quick change of plans meant that we stopped in at Rackz almost directly in front of the Pizzology building. In case it's not obvious, this is a BBQ joint. There's accessible parking, an appropriate curb-cut, and the entryway is a pretty easy to maneuver one-sided glass door that is level to the ground. I found the interior to be a pretty good layout. There's also outside dining that's available when the weather is appropriate. The menu is consistent with most BBQ joints. Rackz offers both dinners (two sides and drink plus meat) or sandwich combos (only one side). The price range is generally in the $10-20 range, though they also offer some family-style options that go higher. So, we're talking BBQ, pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, ribs, and there's even a breaded tenderloin sandwich. They also have a "veggie BBQ dinner." Don't ask me, but it's on the menu. Sides are creative ranging from sidewinder fries to potato salad, mac n' cheese, baked beans, glazed carrots (which I got the chance to try from a fellow diner - I really did like these), and a few other items. I was honestly very impressed with the menu. They also have kids meals and a couple of different Wick's Pies (the classic sugar cream and pecan). I opted for pulled chicken sandwich with sidewinder fries. As we know, I always get iced tea. I really wanted to go for the breaded tenderloin, but I had a full afternoon and that's a splurge for me. However, I was super happy with this meal and would easily order it again. Employees are friendly. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Rackz also offers catering and they do have a rewards program. While this is a bit out of my way, I'd easily return when in the area.

I wanted something simple so I just ordered the chicken fingers combo with fries. The menu is very extensive with burgers, sandwiches, and entrees as well. My order was done fresh to order and took about 10-12 minutes. The gentleman were very helpful and professional. The chicken fingers were huge and I was given a hefty portion of French fries. It was very fresh and tasted like pure heaven. The Den by FoxGardin is a great choice of food at Sun King Carmel if you want something simple,so I would highly recommend it to everyone.

The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). The Den by FoxGardin is located inside Sun King Food Hall, and it's one of the food options you have here. If you are looking for pub food, comfort food, or just plain good food, you can't go wrong with this place.

I proceeded to have a seat at the bar as the patron to my left commented that I was grossly overdressed for this establishment. He wasn't wrong, but a girl needed some food! I ordered the smoked wings and a side of fries. I chose water to drink because I wasn't in the mood for anything else. BEST WINGS ANS FRIES!!! TWO THUMBS UP! The wings and fries are perfection. No sauce necessary. I tried the teriyaki but it wasn't to my liking and the wings don't require anything extra. They are perfection straight outta the kitchen as served on butcher paper. The fries are probably the best fries I have ever eaten. Seriously. I'm a fry connoisseur - I know my way around a fried potato! Best part: the price! They are priced appropriately. Portions size is great. Hearty wings, not lil wing dings. I only did 6 wings, but next time I'll do the full 12 and take some home. Better than Ale Emporium - argue with ya mamma, not me! One being how they consistently roll out new monthly specials - they're always creative, and the names and descriptions are so much fun. The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, solid value. Highly recommended.

Being fairly new to the Fishers area, I did a quick review scroll (as a yelper does lol) and went in with high hopes... and let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint! First off, the menu? Solid. So many options it almost stressed me out, in the best way! I finally landed on the Aloha Special Plate with Hawaiian BBQ Chicken + Chicken Katsu, upgraded my rice to fried rice, and it also came with the mac salad and veggies. Now when I opened that container... BABY. The portions?! Generous is an understatement. They did not come to play! The BBQ chicken was sweet, savory, and full of flavor. The chicken katsu? Crispy, golden perfection. Like... exactly what you want it to be. The macaroni salad was also hitting... creamy, flavorful, no complaints there. Only thing that fell a little flat for me was the rice, it just needed a bit more flavor. But honestly, everything else made up for it. I can't speak on the service or vibe since we did takeout, but based on this meal alone? Yeah... I'll absolutely be back. I've already got my eye on a few more things on the menu!

It was late, I was home for the night, and I told him I would try to return within the next day or two. When I returned, the owner was not there. I was informed that I would only receive one-third of my money back. Since I had eaten only the rice and vegetables, I requested a 50% refund. Those items were listed on the menu at approximately $7, while my total bill was $18.52. Given that I had been asked to make a second trip back to the restaurant, my request seemed more than reasonable. The meats were still in the container... even the parts I attempted to chew but had to spit out. (Gross, I know!) The manager stated that he would need to call the owner for approval. After speaking with him, the owner instructed the manager to refund the full amount of my meal. The manager then pulled out the cash but proceeded to take several phone orders and serve another customer who was waiting for food--all while I stood there waiting for him to hand me my refund. He kept saying, "One moment." After patiently waiting, I finally asked, "Is there a problem?" He replied that there wasn't, but then began typing another message into his translator app. At that point, he informed me that while he would refund my money, I was no longer welcome to eat at the restaurant. I was absolutely appalled, but simply responded, "Okay." I have no interest in supporting a business that neither values its customers nor stands behind the quality of its product. Fortunately, there are plenty of other places to eat. He then added that because no one else had complained about the meat being tough, he did not believe that it was. I accepted my refund... all $18.52 of it... and left. I will never return, and based on this experience, I would encourage others to think carefully before patronizing this business.
