It was supposed to be warm that day, but it was nice sitting in the shade with a little air movement not far from the street. Service seemed a tad sluggish at the start, but in their defense it also appeared there were only 2 of them at that time. The did promptly bring chips and salsa to the table. They did a decent job of refilling our waters as well as our chips and salsa without our needing to ask. We also were grateful that they were open as we noticed multiple folks attempting to enter the dining options across the street that were apparently closed for the day. The waitress asked to take our order after a bit, but we still hadn't received menus yet. Turns out that they have QR codes at tables to access their menu, but our table along with our neighboring ones seemed to no longer have the codes adhered. She then brought out a paper menu to use, which listed their lunch and dinner menus, although the lunch menu was only available for weekdays. They also have a brunch menu apparently, but that was not listed on the paper menu, so a tad annoying. Wife ordered the Huevos Rancheros ($12) and was very pleased as they prepared it per her request (eggs over hard and with green sauce). Daughter chose Arroz con Pollo ($15) and was also pleased with the quantity of cheese provided. Son selected the Chicken and Waffles ($13) with spicy syrup, which he thought were good but that he should have asked for additional syrup as the container wasn't sufficient for the quantity of waffle that he had. I went with the Chili Relleno ($15), which was also very cheesy and tasty. The rice and beans that came with it were just OK, a tad dry and lacking a bit of seasoning. Overall, not a bad meal. Prices seemed a tad high for what we got, but that is the case everywhere with inflation these days. Service was fine in spite of most likely being undermanned, but again just grateful for those who did choose to come in and work on a Father's Day Sunday.

We love the Social Cantina in Carmel. It feels like vacation every time we visit there. I want to…read morehighlight our most recent visit when our family of 12 celebrated Father's Day. The restaurant easily accommodated us is a separate area that was near the restaurants and a long booth bench on pine side. Perfect for our four five and under. Our server Hannah was cheerful and knowledgeable and was an asset to our celebration. Our food and drinks were delicious. We got the margarita tower (twice). It is delicious and definitely a statement (And the bartender certainly has a great sense of humor)! We all had delicious food. I tried the Korean chicken bowl as a salad (I love that you can order rice or lettuce for the bowls). I tried avocado with ahi tuna appetizer and could easily make that a meal. If you think Asian/Mexican fusion is not a thing, think again. We will be back to the Carmel location as well as the Indy location. Sit indoors, sit outdoors and enjoy a great experience either with a larger party or family party or just a couple of you

Our server was a nice girl, but extremely slow service. We had to ask for everything--straws, more water, more chips. She checked in on us maybe twice during our whole meal and didn't deliver our food. Food was pretty mediocre and had little to no seasoning. I'm still not 100% sure that the Margarita actually had alcohol in it as it was incredibly weak. The chips and dip flight is pretty cool in theory, but the queso and guac are the only dips that I would get. Everything else is just...meh. Your run of the mill Mexican joint at the corner will have better food and service than here. I would probably go somewhere else unless you're just looking for a cool vibe.

They gave me a generous portion, the protein amount made it well worth the $12. The salad was a bed of leafy lettuce for extra nutrition and topped with cherry tomatoes, pickled onions (key ingredient), queso fresco, one scoop of guac (only complaint-not enough for the size of the salad), pepitas and a citrus vinaigrette on the side. The dressing is delicious! It all was delicious!! I would get it again in a heartbeat but also would want to try others things in the menu as well. My friend got the Chicken in Chipotle bowl. She loved it as well. The portion did not look as large, but it was $12.50. This comes with rice and black beans with adobo chunked chicken and other toppings including a scoop of guac and the delicious pickled onions. Very happy with our choice of La Margarita inside of the Sun King Brewery. Check them out for sure!

I had the enchiladas which can often be a bit tough but were some of the best I have had with flavorful chicken. I am gluten free so make sure you get the grilled not fried. My husband had a giant shrimp bowl and said it was prepared a lot more like it would be in Mexico. It is also very reasonably priced which is harder and harder to find now..
