Our experience was mostly very good. The cold brew coffee was a 10. The chicken biscuit was good. Personally, I will ask for less cheese and more gravy. Their chicken is slightly spicy-which I love. The redneck Benedict was not on point. The eggs were overdone and the hollandaise was watery. The reason I gave four stars instead of three was that when we complained the waitress replaced it with a requested avocado toast. The tomato gravy was the best I have outside of an old southern kitchen. We will be back. Hubs will probably give their hollandaise another try. The rest of the menu looked great read more

Good food on Father's Day. Waitlist and parking was a drag. It's a new restaurant at this time to Mobile. Great to have some more options in midtown for breakfast. I requested some hot sauce and the waitress brought me some green chili sauce in a small container. I was surprised because I was expecting some hot sauce in a bottle. This stuff was so good and did not over power my palate and enhanced the flavor of my meal. I was very happy to have it. Matter of fact, I'll come back for the hot sauce experience alone. Service took a while. Ordered drinks and after they came it took what felt like forever to get serviced for food. After doing so and waiting for our food, it was bland and did not taste well at all. I asked for salt (from a different person because my waiter was not checking on us) and never received it. The waiter came a total of two times. I had to go from the table to the front desk to pay for my food. When the waiter realized we were getting up and leaving he then came over with the bill after I had already paid. Completely unenjoyable. After receiving a complaint, management was sincere with their apologies and offered a discounted rate on the food which was appreciated. We had this delivered on our trip to Mobile because we were too lazy to leave the hotel. The food was AMAZING. Best food from the trip by far (and we went to some very nice seafood and steakhouses). They have one in my college town (Oxford MS) and the wait was always crazy long but the food is always soooooo amazing. 11/10 every single time. The brûlée grapefruit is so unique I get it every time. I would love to try and replicate but I would 100% fail. The biscuit was perfection. The chicken was the perfect level of spicy and crispy. So much flavor I'm crying that I can't get anything like this now that I live in Denver! Lattee was average but lol go to Starbucks if you want a fancier one. read more

While the food here is good, the customer service is horrible. My friend sat 30 minutes in outdoor seating without being approached by a waitress. When I arrived, I had to speak with the manager to get someone to wait on us. When the waitress finally took our drink orders, she got it wrong, bringing things we didn't ask for. There was only one other party outside, so it shouldn't have been that difficult. Then, when we ordered our food, it took forever. The waitress seemed forgetf that she even had us as patrons. When the food did come, it was very tasty. However, if you have to get management to force subpar customer service, it isn't worth the wait. I will pass on this place for future visits. read more

The service was good and the staff was friendly. The wait to be seated was long. We were told a 30 minute wait, but waited probably 1 1-2 hours before being seated. The ambiance was nice with seating inside and outside. There was also a bar area where people were eating. The parking is limited. When I visit Mobile I'm always looking for great food!! This morning I found just that. Every part of our meal was perfect. I had the Big Bad Skillet, which was perfect and I didn't have to say hold anything. My husband had the Creole Omelette which was delish as well. But the show stopper was the waffle. I think I walked out saying that was the best waffle I have ever had. So we ate there the next day too!! Give them a try, My food was great! read more

My mother, sisters, and I decided to visit this place for nice lunch on a cloudy Friday. The place was pretty busy, but we were still seated very quickly. The first thing to notice is how close everybody is together, as there isn't a lot of space in the dining area to the right of the restaurant. We were greeted immediately for our drink order, and I had the Big Bad Cold Brew that was pretty strong, which is how I prefer my coffee. The reason for the 3 stars is because I ordered a shrimp poboy for 16 dollars, and was brought this half of a poboy. The menu doesn't state how big it is, but I figured for 16 bucks it should be a decent size. However, it was cooked perfectly, and the fries were perfect as well. Over all it was ok and I would recommend it, but it seemed to lack some. We had about a 15-minute wait, but waited a little while at the table before someone came to wait in us (realistically it was busy). I tried the "Redneck Benny". The biscuit was awesome! The overall dish was good - worthy to come back. The presentation seemed rushed, but the taste made up for it. I got the side grapefruit brûlée. I like the flavor but the grapefruit was small so I was unable to get a lot from it. I also tried the Vietnamese cold/brew which I really liked. Everyone told us the the portion sizes are massive, but I did not get that from mine. The ambiance is good, fast moving. It was crowded, but that means it has good food. Those with me got the screaming demon sandwich and they liked it. The others got a shrimp po-boy. They said it had almost no shrimp. Overall not a bad place when you factor in everything. Big Bad Breakfast reminds me of Brick and Spoon or Another Broken Egg...maybe even Ruby Slipper. I would call it "high end" breakfast/brunch. Like the other aforementioned restaurants I enjoyed our meal but left kind of regretting how much I spent. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Had some pleasant music in the background with lively chatter all around. We were seated close to the entrance to the kitchen so would have preferred another table but can't really help that I guess. The menu selection is great with a nice drink menu. I highly recommend the crumble bowl. Main reason I gave it a 4 star and not 5 is that my wife requested her eggs cooked well but unfortunately they cooked it the way they always do (I assume) and left it runny. She ended up having to wait until they cooked her eggs as ordered so her meal was cold by the time the eggs were ready. For $120 breakfast for 3 (I know...insane) the eggs should be prepared as ordered. So from my perspective, if I am in the area and budget has some room, sure I will bring the family here again for brunch BUT if I am in west Mobile closer to where I live, I probably wouldn't make the drive while I have Brick and spoon etc closer and for a slightly lesser price Edit: if you are not lushes like us, your bill will be considerably lower without the alcohol. read more
