This is pretty much how the cleanliness is through out.

High hopes were had but soon were dashed. The health rating was very low. The veggies had no flavor. It should have been good but it is poorly executed. The lady that helped us had a very sour attitude. No fresh tea all bottled drinks. Is is eatable ? Yes. Is it good no. Sorry but this was subpar. We won't be back

Some of the best southern home cooking I've ever had! Red beans and sauce with pork and conecuh sausage was perfect. The collard greens and Mac and cheese also so good. My girl had the hamburger steak, with mash potatoes, which was also outstanding. This one goes on my Mobile rotation for sure. What a hidden gem!

Fried pork chops, mac and cheese, greens, cornbread, and mashed potatoes and gravy.

The man that served us what very sweet and dropped fresh pork chops for both of us because he only had enough for one. The food was delicious. Very good southern food and tastes homemade. We also ate inside and it was a pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Only the best Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni and Cheese, Green Beans, and Corn Bread you will ever have!

I called first to make sure they had oxtails and experienced courteous service during the call. Today I had oxtails, cabbage, sweet potatoes and peach cobbler for dessert. The food was delicious. The oxtails could have been a little bit more tender but the seasoning was perfection and the peach cobbler reminded me of my Mom's. The cornbread was good. The delivery was a great experience. I will definitely order again.

To say this food was cooked with love and every bit of the best seasonings would be an understatement - it all tasted great and was an ultra 10 out of 5!! The locals obviously knew it well as they were lined up waiting for some of all this lil gem had to offer. The menu was a bit confusing but once we figured it out we got an oxtail meal that was the star, a baked chicken dinner and a macaroni and cheese plate with double Mac and cheese and a side of cheese dressing. There are daily specials and meals come with sweet tea. Any other drinks like lemonade or kool aid come at a up charge of $1.99. You place your order first then grab a table to eat or take to go. Just go experience this slice of heaven on earth if in the vicinity, both your stomach and wallet will thank you after the fact.

My visit to the restaurant was like all others. The staff person behind takes my order and he prepares my food. He is always courteous and makes sure I get what I ask for. For my sides, I had mac and cheese and yellow rice. After I received my food, I headed home with my car smelling delicious. When I got home I dove in to my food. The mac and cheese and rice were delicious but of course the jerk chicken was the star. It never fails. The spice level is always the same as I remember. I always need a napkin to wipe my forehead. It was extremely delicious.

The ambiance is what you would assume a Jamaican restaurant would be: Jamaican flags, Jamaican colors, Jamaican customers. The only reason why I give this place a 4 stars is because they were missing entrees. I originally came here for the jerk chicken, but they were out, even at lunch time (12:00pm). Other than that, it was reasonable pricing for the portion I got. I would come here again.

Because this spot is not pretending to be anything. This is full-on, unapologetic dive. And I mean that in the best possible way. You walk in and it's like the '70s, '80s, and a little bit of someone's '90s basement bar all got together and said, "Let's not change a thing." Old banquet-style tables, a bar top that feels like it's hosted a thousand stories, and walls that have clearly seen some things. I loved it immediately. Now let's talk food. The folks next to me were deep into the chicken and dumplings and talking about it like it was a life event. You know that kind of table chatter where you start reconsidering your order mid-bite? Yeah, that. I went shrimp po' boy... and no regrets. Shrimp fried just right. Crispy, flavorful, doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Solid sandwich. The fries... eh, they showed up a little tired. Not terrible, just kind of there. A little cold, a little soggy, like they'd already had a long day. But here's the twist. You don't come to Judy's for perfection. You come for personality. For the feeling that you just discovered a place that doesn't care about trends, doesn't need a remodel, and definitely isn't chasing Instagram. It just is what it is... and somehow that works. Fold this into your expectations. If you need polished, keep driving. If you want real, pull up a chair. It's fun. It's different. It's got character for days. Four stars. And honestly, half the star is just for staying exactly the same all these years.

When we arrived at 6:00 every table was full including the bar on a Thursday night. Our waitress Felecia did an ok job, perhaps it was because of the 100% full, or the heat as the air-conditioning was not working and it was quite warm. Despite those obstacles, the food was tasty as always. I can not imagine how hot the kitchen was. We ordered only entrees tonight. I had the Country fried chicken with okra, coleslaw and hush puppies, I asked for the white gravy on the side and she had the pork chop with fries and broccoli. Both were cooked and seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. This place has been very good for the duration of our stay in Mobile (1.5 years). If you are traveling, this is where the locals eat, if ya know, you know. Fairwell Mobile.

One star for the hush puppies…read more One star for our friendly server. Sadly, I can only give two stars to Wintzell's House in Mobile, Alabama. I should've listened to all of the advice from the locals on Reddit, who warned me that this place has fallen on harder times. The char grilled oysters were funky. I ate them but worried as I ate them. The hush puppies earned a star. They were pretty tasty. The were my favorite thing on the table. However, we asked for butter, and our server gave us packets of butter substitute. Doesn't this restaurant have real butter? The gumbo was fairly tasteless and also, they had chopped up whatever seafood was in there so finely that it all just turned into mush. If there was any seafood in there, I sure didn't taste it. The West Indies crab salad was a shocking disappointment. It was a scoop of crab meat, which they ruined by mixing it up with mayo. That's it. An ice cream scoop of canned crab meat mixed with heavy mayo. It's like they didn't even try. The bread pudding left very little impression. It was a little rectangular square. Our server misunderstood us when we said we wanted it topped with ice cream, and served the bread pudding alongside a bowl of five scoops of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. It was a very odd dessert situation, but we worked our way through it. Our server was an amusing fella. He kinda/sorta made the evening. Overall, I'm glad I went so I could know for myself. However, I do wish that I had listened to the locals on Reddit.
