Whenever something doesn't go the way he wants, he becomes irritated and rude, raises his voice, breathes heavily, and shows a very unpleasant attitude toward customers. I told him, "This isn't a big deal. If you're tired today, you can stay home. You shouldn't come to work if you're going to treat customers like this." I honestly don't understand why the gas station hired him. There are many other people who are more qualified, polite, and capable of providing good customer service. Why would they choose to hire someone like this?

(Note: I am 31 years old) However, during our visit, the man in the register began yelling at me, asserting that I could not translate for my father. He also questioned my age, suggesting I did not appear old enough to purchase the vape products. Additionally, he made inappropriate remarks about my father's appearance and eligibility to buy the items. I offered to present my driver's license as proof of age and clarified that I was simply assisting my father with translation. I took out my Driver's License out to show him, however he completely ignored it. Despite this, the man insisted that I stop speaking and intercepted my father's driver's license from his hand. This incident has been incredibly traumatic for both my father and me. The employee justified his behavior by saying that Chevron's policy states that customers cannot translate for others or each other and how it's illegal. We have been loyal customers at Chevron for many years and have never encountered such treatment. Nor have we ever had anyone tell us that translation is illegal in Chevron. This appears to be more than an isolated incident; it feels like discrimination against my father and myself because we are Asians. As a result of this experience, I will never use this Chevron located in French Valley and a former complaint has been filed to Chevron corporate. Even my 7-year-old sister was frightened by the way we were treated. This incident has left a lasting negative impression on us. I see that others have made similar comments about an employee's behavior and I'm very surprised that Chevron is keeping him as their front employee to represent them at this location. His behavior is racism and unacceptable. Nothing can justify his actions.

Sometimes you just want a certain amount of a product and that is the best way to go. They have a fresh sushi bar! Unfortunately they are always out of spicy tuna so I haven't gotten sushi there in quite a while. If they had spicy tuna on the shelf I'd buy sushi every time I was shopping there. One thing that I like about the produce department is that they have fresh vegetables. They're vegetables are not inexpensive but they're good and I like that they always have eggplant. I never see artichokes there though. Their fruit department has something left to be desired. The only consistent tasting fruits are apples and oranges. Most of the time their offerings of berries and tomatoes are tasteless or old. That being said, this is still the best place to go for most of your groceries. You will save oodles of money if you shop here on a consistent basis. It's awesome that it's an employee owned company! You would think that would give the employees a better attitude but unfortunately there are not that many smiling faces working there. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes with management. All in all, I sure hope WinCo isn't leaving the area anytime soon. No place is perfect and despite some of the issues they have I would be very sad if I couldn't go shopping there anymore.

I informed a supervisor of what had transpired and that I was a disabled veteran with spinal injuries and that her employee laying hands on me was embarrassing and offensive. The supervisor apologized but I did not feel it sincere enough and have decided never to return. If the store has such a policy, the employee should have explained better, said go ahead this time but not in the future, and to not have laid hands on me.
