Solid Selection, But Hit-or-Miss on Specific Brands (3.5-4 stars) I recently stopped by this BevMo and while I didn't find everything I was looking for, it's still one of the better spots in the area for a solid beverage selection. I was on the hunt for some canned vodka drinks and seltzers for my wife, plus Mezcal and some beer for myself. This location isn't one of their larger stores, so certain items--especially trending or niche seltzers--seem to rotate in and out. They keep the staples (like White Claw, Topo Chico, etc.), but if you're after something that was popular a couple of years ago, chances are they might not have it in stock. That said, I did find some decent alternatives and the overall variety is pretty good, especially for spirits and beer. If you're just browsing or open to trying something new, you'll probably walk out satisfied. If anyone knows of another place in the area with a wide, consistently stocked selection--especially for canned cocktails and seltzers--I'd love a recommendation. read more

I came looking for a sweet and sour to mix and was able to find one fairly easy even though most of their stuff either had sold out or their remaining selection just seemed smaller than normal? And maybe the employees were all in the back, but it seemed like they were short staffed for a Sunday with only 1 cashier open and 1 guy on the floor... but maybe that's normal for this store? This is my "home" BevMo. I typically order online and pick-up in store. I have also shopped inside the store, too. I love BevMo's selection. They have a wide variety of alcohol to choose from. I especially like the beer selection when I'm feeling like IPA's. The store is generally nice and clean. It's also pretty organized so it's really easy to find what you're looking for. Customer service here is great. If I can't find something, I ask an employee and they've always been able to point me in the right direction or check their system to see if they have it. I'm usually greeted upon walking in and from time to time, I'm asked if I'm finding everything okay. I'll definitely continue shopping at my local BevMo! read more

I like to check out new wines and see if they are running their 5 cent sale. I love a deal and buy one get one for 5 cents is where it is at! I came here last time looking for something specific. I went to a beer fest and a company sampled this ginger beer that was out of this world. I looked and looked and couldn't find it. I asked for help and the associate went way out of his way to find it. He saw that the store didn't carry it and looked online to locate it. This BevMo is a absolute joke. The manager ray refused to sell me a bottle because he promised someone he pull the last 12 bottles. The person that was coming first all have not paid for these bottles but this piece of crap (in nice words) manager would not let me have one bottle. He tried to say well he comes here all the time that's nice my husband use to work for BevMo and u can't hold things with out payment. And u can't refuse something that's on a shelf. Thank god that customer came in for his stuff at the same time and was nice and let me have one. But I can't believe the headache and disrespect from someone that calls them a manager. I accompanied my wife to this location so she could purchase some limoncello. She grabbed the bottle and went to pay, I was only walking with her. When we got to the register, they asked for my ID as well. I explained to the clerk that lost my ID when I was overseas last week. I I told her I have a picture of both my CA state license and passport if that would help. They wouldn't sell my wife the alcohol, because I didn't have an ID. I would understand if I look young, but there is no way someone would mistake my for being under 21, not even close. I understand the idea behind this rule, but this is horrible execution. I even have a bevmo card that shows my purchases for the past 15 years!! I used to do all my shopping here, but will be doing my shipping elsewhere from now on. read more

I hate this BevMo for trying to order kegs. They advertise a 5 day lead time but only place orders on Sundays and Mondays. So if you call on a Tuesday you are looking at an 8-9 day lead time. They are always difficult to deal with on the phone as well. We like the Menifee store much better, they are always easier to deal with. Wow! Helpful much? I say that in a good way. Came here to pick up a few libations for co-workers for the holidays. When I headed for the whiskey section, a sales person swooped in and zeroed in on what I might be looking for. He made some suggestions, then went to help another customer. Not more than 30 seconds later, another sales guy came over to ask if I needed help. "Do you drink scotch?" I asked. Depending on how you look at it, I asked either the right or the wrong person. This guy DEFINITELY knew his scotch. I felt like I was in scotch school hearing him talk about the aging process, the difference between the low and highland scotches and on and on. His tutorial did help me make some informed decisions, with the slant of a salesperson, of course. Bevmo seems a bit more expensive than what you'll find at grocery stores, but the selection is fantastic. read more
