Absolute worst establishment ever! My fiancé and I visited this location on 4-17-2026 and was met by the most rude manager I have ever come across. My fiancé and I were purchasing roughly $700-$800 of liquor for our wedding and they ID'd him (he's 31, so a decade above legal) which is normal & expected as he was the one paying for it. The cashier then asked for my ID which this is the FIRST TIME EVER I've been ID'd in this store after quite a few YEARS of shopping here. I explained to her that I was in my pjs, not paying for the liquor, and I even presented a photo of my ID (that says I'm 28) and she refused to sell to my fiancé because I "look to young" and I explained to her we could run back and grab my ID but it is awful close to closing, the manager stated she was allowed to refuse sales and she was refusing mine based on my appearance. I said what if my fiancé just comes back and buys it by himself she refused, again, because of our appearance. She repeated this phrase several times and then suggested that we go to BevMo down the street. BevMo off of Winchester x Nicolas does not discriminate against their customers based on appearance, has wonderful deals, and amazing customer service. If you're looking to not be discriminated against for age and appearance and get a great deal BevMo is definitely the place for you! We've been shopping in Total Wines for nearly twenty years, in four different states. Total Wines does an excellent job of stocking hard to fine vintners and spirits. Two examples is Beaumes de Venise and Black Sambuca. Both are items that are hard to find and basically unavailable in most liquor stores. Total Wines will also order items for you and call you when they're in stock. Nice! My relatives in France make Beaumes de Venise, which we know as Muscat. Please do not pronounce the "t". It has a much higher Proof than most Apéritifs. Black Sambuca is a more mellow after dinner drink made by Romana. It's smooth, and has a more sophisticated taste than their clear Sambuca. Running a business is certainly hard during the Holidays. Missed orders, low stock and cranky customers only add to the difficulty of pleasing everyone and keeping a smile on your face. Yesterday, I drove a distance to the Temecula store to pick up a limited edition 49er champagne bottle for an avid fan and family member. I placed the order online and drove close to an hour to the store and retrieved my purchase. I meet with Rosie who I later learned was the stores manager who assisted me with my order. I found her kind, very helpful and she certainly had a nice smile which is always a good sign. Today, will wrapping the gift, I noticed that two of the bottles had nicks in the gold finish that were quite noticeable. Fearing that the store would have a no return policy or be unable to replace this valuable gift I gave the store a call and hoped for the best. When I called the store, I was pleasantly surprised to find Rosie working on a Sunday and told her what had happened. Rosie informed me that her store was completely sold out, but that she would call all the stores near my home and business to locate replacements. After about an hour, Rosie called back and told me that she had four bottles on hold saving the one gift I was the most proud to give this year. Had a horrible experience at this location. My brother (19) came with me (29) to purchase some alcohol for a party we were hosting. When it came time to purchase the items, we were both ID'd. Puzzled because I was the only one purchasing the alcohol, we complied anyways. My brother didn't have his ID and the cashier immediately grabbed the manager. Cashier had no customer service skills, didn't give an explanation nor even bother to communicate with us at all. We sat there looking stupid while the manager was nowhere to be found and only emerged 10 or so minutes later only to tell us that they wouldn't sell to us because my brother did not have his ID and informed us that EVERYONE needed to be 21 or older to even BE in the store which is funny cause I saw toddlers walking around with their parents shopping.. should they be ID'd too?? There is nothing in the entrance or anywhere inside the store that states that it is mandatory that EVERYONE needs to be 21 or older to be inside the store. Doesn't even have it anywhere thats easily accessible on any part their website. Bottom line is I didn't even hear about this "group policy" until after we were being told to leave. If there was a sign, I didn't see it and it for sure wasn't enforced if we were even able to make it to the cashier line. There was only something along the lines of "Anyone that looks under 30 will be ID'd, we arrest minors" in the cashier lines. This company stated in a previous google review replying to someone that had a similar experience that "..The only exception is a group composed of an adult, and their children, or a legal guardian of the minor." I could've been the legal guardian of my brother which meant they would've allowed us to purchase the alcohol, but they were just quick to not care or do their job and just run us out the building. Point being, If you're an adult of legal age looking to purchase alcohol and want to feel like a customer instead of an idiot or a criminal, i suggest a different retailer. read more

The Temecula Total Wine & More has a huge selection of wine. If you can't find a wine here to meet your unique profile, you had better drink something else. They pretty much have all bases covered. I have started to do wine education classes and Total Wine has a great selection of varietals that other places do not carry. This is very important during the summer months where shipping is not a great option. Another feature is their winery direct wines. These are relationships they have established with wineries that allow them to feature and sell that wine at a lower cost to the consumer. A couple of my favorite labels they feature in their winery direct are Beau Vigne and Pina. These are outstanding wines and sold at Total Wine & More at a very good price. This store also has wonderful staff. The associates are always willing to help me find wines I am looking for and even suggest something that has the same flavor profile at perhaps a lower price. I also like spirits and they have walls with enough selections to make your head spin. Not like Regan in the "Exorcist" but more of a "Wow", that is a shitload of booze. They are super nice and helpful here, you just have to go seek someone out. I'm shopping for Rum for tiki drinks. Funny how the stores haven't caught on to the Tiki drink trend - I'd expect at least a display with a few books and some sample rums. The rum section has moved around since I was here last, and I didn't find a lot of amazing treasures, but I did get the whole line of Plantation rums, and also picked up a local Malahat Rye. Their points program seems to be nearly useless - like spend $2000, get a coupon for $20 or something. Why even bother to dig out my phone number, or get on your mailing list? We were invited to the grand opening here in Temecula. They are purveyors of fine spirits, wine and beer. Lots of lite bites of brucshetta, mac and cheese and a dessert table. We got to taste wine from Russian River area and Rutherford area of Nappa. 10 percent of all wine sold this week through the weekend goes to a local non profit by the name of Assistance League. So buy wine! It's great to see a local wine merchant with medium to high end wine in Temecula. Real nice ribbon cutting ceremony with local government representatives there supporting. read more

We were on our way to a meeting but stopped at Total Wine in Temecula on our way. This angel Rosie met us close to the door. She was all smiles and volunteered to help me with my request. I wanted chocolate wine and pumpkin pie liquor. She saw me eyeing the egg nog liquor and showed us several.i asked for her favorite and of course I bought her favorite because I liked everything she suggested. She was so sweet and helpful we went in and out in a matter of minutes and left with $100 of goodies. Rosie thank you for helping us get our goodies in record time. We explained that we understand they will not be able to sell to US, however we did not know the person in front of us. The staff decided to assume that we were together, possibly because we were the same race. The security dramatically exclaimed, "Well, someone is lying to me!" One star is too much for this place. I have worked as a brand Ambassador for 8+ years doing liquor demos and always enjoyed coming to this venue to work events. That was until a few of the staff started to become incredibly hostile towards me and I was told by someone I knew who worked there that one manager was talking about me in the break room making comments that I'm anorexic and also said I'm broke because I once had to transfer money from another account to cover a purchase, which doesn't make me broke, just unprepared. And to clarify, I'm not anorexic, but to this woman anyone not obese like herself is deemed anorexic. Either way I brushed it off, and went to work an event there shortly after, which would be my last. The manager that night, not entirely sure which one but I believe it was either Herrera or Rosie Grindstaff kicked me out and told me I was banned from working at that store again, simply because my fiancé at the time helped bring my table in and she said he was drunk (he was completely sober). When you think it can't get worse, the bitch decided to call the cops as we were leaving. Even the cops were like "why are we here, what is wrong with this woman?" Now I can't work there which is incredibly inconvenient because in my industry there are tons of opportunities at that particular store and I live close, but now I have to drive to locations 50+ miles away. That being said, I can only hope there is better management there now because these people are spiteful, unprofessional and should perhaps seek a job away from people.
