It's not the first time I've encountered him and each time I leave with a bad taste in my mouth. The ladies and young men that work the counter are fine, my issue is with the aforementioned. I am not one to complain much but this needs to stop. Then at checkout Stephanie was very rude as well, however she was all smiles and giggles with the young men before us. It's disappointing to see the lack of respect and dignity in that employee. Corporate must be informed . I just noticed others posted about the butcher counter guy and I see it wasn't a one time issue. For better service make the drive to Vons/ Albertsons.

Sometimes you just want a certain amount of a product and that is the best way to go. They have a fresh sushi bar! Unfortunately they are always out of spicy tuna so I haven't gotten sushi there in quite a while. If they had spicy tuna on the shelf I'd buy sushi every time I was shopping there. One thing that I like about the produce department is that they have fresh vegetables. They're vegetables are not inexpensive but they're good and I like that they always have eggplant. I never see artichokes there though. Their fruit department has something left to be desired. The only consistent tasting fruits are apples and oranges. Most of the time their offerings of berries and tomatoes are tasteless or old. That being said, this is still the best place to go for most of your groceries. You will save oodles of money if you shop here on a consistent basis. It's awesome that it's an employee owned company! You would think that would give the employees a better attitude but unfortunately there are not that many smiling faces working there. I wonder what goes on behind the scenes with management. All in all, I sure hope WinCo isn't leaving the area anytime soon. No place is perfect and despite some of the issues they have I would be very sad if I couldn't go shopping there anymore.

I think what really hit a nerve would be the specific interaction with my 7 year old son who excitedly stated he found Tank the turtle. Without a word the cashier leaned over to grab the basket of lollipops, no verbal interaction, straight faced, zero eye contact with both of my children (daughter, 4 years old) and continued to have a side conversation with his team member while my children grabbed their treats. Not a single word or smile. The bagger (female) had the same expression, zero eye contact (I am looking at her directly in the eyes), with a very uninterested tone "have a nice day..." This check out experience stood out as very different in a not so great way from our many, many visits.
