Now I've not ever been a loyal customer to Chevron and have driven out of the way to make sure I get to a Chevron. One thing about being in my position is that 99% of people that live in this upper middle class have only known and will ever only have comfort. The vast majority assume somebody in my situation must be there due to a personal, moral failure and that it's the persons own fault for getting there. Theres a reason you don't see any homelessness in places like Murrieta, because they've essentially made it impossible to actually sustain homelessness as you will find little to non-existent support for people like me. Most people will never understand what it's like being completely alone, literally no family left, parents dead, siblings haven't been seen in 10 years and lost connection with any aunts or uncles who've left CA. One thing is for certain, if you don't have resources like transportation or gas, that makes trying to survive while homeless here 10x harder. The town is genuinely nice and extremely little crime so it's safe but not safe. I shouldn't have to struggle as hard as I have just to find food resources. First you need a phone that's charged, next you need a reliable connection to the internet. Not having a stable home WiFi to connect to automatically will mean you will hit your data allotment and be throttled down to a speed where emails become queued, verification codes fail to get through, payments coming through metas Facebook messenger become flagged and denied as my connection is detected as highly unstable so meta blocks any kind of funds transfer that could happen. Trying to run my business becomes impossible when being throttled. So if you will, just try and imagine yourself in a situation where you have no Family, no friends, no money, no gas, no stable connection to the internet, and now your devices that you rely on for trying to meet basic survival requirements. Tag on being surrounded by people who either don't see you or see you as a burden to them or an eyesore. I needed my power bank charged, I have a special 20w charger for charging it. Simply plug it in just as any charger brick and the device charges. I can get a solid 6 or so charges off this to my phone making it an excellent resource when fighting for survival. Now I'm not going to sit here and say that when I had brought my charger into this Chevron location that anyone had intentionally not plugged my device in, but it's really hard to fail at making the correct connections. Either an outlet might be defunct or something but I hope this wasn't a way to discourage me from reaching out for a basic survival request because after handing the power bank over to the staff I had said that I would come and pick it up in the morning, they said not a problem and so I retrieved the power bank in the morning and to my surprise, the bank was still at 0%. Now I'm in a very bad position, one where this sort of thing is actually harmful for me. Sure people will say just don't don't take your bank there to charge, they're not obligated to provide that kind of service, well fair enough, but by telling me sure we can help and then not getting it is harmful for people in my situation. This disrupts more that you realize. I would've rather had been told no we can't help you, just like literally every other place of business when asking for some help charging a device. I really do want to believe this was an accident but given how straightforward charging a device like this really is I'm not finding any room for a "whoops, don't know why there's no charge on that device after having left it plugged in all night long." Maybe it really is just a simple didn't have it plugged in all of the way sort of mistake.The way this charger cable plugs into this bank is pretty reliable. It has this distinct sort of snap or click to it making any failed charging attempts almost impossible. I'm so so very close to stability too, if you're a business owner that does not have a website or you need more exposure such as being recommended to consumers first when they search for your business using AI like ChatGPT, Grok, CoPilot etc, I can help you solve that, and the return on investment is a brilliant move. I just need to close a couple of deals to have my life changed for the better. Don't think that my situation makes providing you a product impossible because its not. I was told in a second rude tone that they would not take my $100 bill. I asked, "so you don't have $20 in change? I don't care if it's a few $5's and a $10."
