Bevmo believes that not everyone who wants to buy alcohol need to chichat with someone, so they pretty much manage to put this huge giant large store with tons of selections and one cashier in most location to check you out and ask you and offer you the bevmo card, that saves you $$s. If you think of it, it makes sense. When was the last time at Ralphs or Albertons you stopped someone and asked them if the unbleached flour in the bread would do to your body and health conscious diet regimen right! I may just take a star off for that, but this place is still a solid 4. When they put stuff on sale, it really is a good deal. They always have most all selections at the store. I was looking to buy lodi 337, which I couldn't find at the local pavilion, guess where I found them - here! Also, the almond champagne, was on sale for 8.99. you kidding me!! :) Places like this that has all the alcohols you like and love and keep them closer and accessible when you need them keeps you sane, and they deserve, the kudos! read more

BevMo is my favorite place to get most any liquor, random beer, and excellent cider. If you need a keg of just about anything beer, BevMo has it. Your days of lugging kegs of Natty Light out of Ralphs through the girl scout troop are over! Maybe that's the best part of lugging kegs? Not sure. This place has good prices and great selection... they even have Magners and Strongbow (ciders), which I can't seem to find much of anywhere else around here. Want a buzz like you're pounding vodka but a fruity taste? How would you like to be invincible? Drink a few strongbow, and you will be! I've never had my head pounded in while drinking Strongbow, so it must be true. I think it's because Rugby players drink cider, and they'll have your back when they see your sophisticated taste. Marking a price range on this place is a joke... I mean.. the average person would probably say $, but I think the average yelper is going to be solid $$$$ in here... other than the 5 cent wine sale crew. I heart BevMo- it's an alcoholic's dreamland! (Not to say that I am one :oP) You can mostly find those esoteric brands that the regular grocery stores don't carry. Definitely sign up as a member- You'll accumulate points and get that 5% discount in no time. Another plus is that the coupon doesn't expire for months! I love the all the mini liquors near the cash register- I would think that it would make great wedding favors or even stocking stuffers (ok, so maybe I like alcohol a little..) Don't miss out on their buy 1 bottle of wine and get another for 5 cents deal- what other store does that?? And secondly, what can you get for 5 cents these days! I think they do it bi-annually and coincidentally, the event is going on thru this week. They also offer beer and wine tasting. When I gf and I were there on a weekend, we asked how the tasting worked. I think that it was $10 for 10 tastings but there were 15+ bottles out so they said that it was an "honor system"- I am all about getting more for your money! The only downside- no place to sit and enjoy your wine/beer. The sales people are very knowledgeable and friendly- don't be afraid to ask "What is a good red?" or "I'm going to house warming party, what do you recommend?". For some reason Bev Mo has 2 yelp pages so here is my review... Hard to not love Bev Mo. Huge selection of beer, wine and hard alcohol, this is the Sweet Factory equivalent for adults. I'm not a wine/beer expert so the sheer number of choices can be overwhelming but its also fun to walk around and try different types of wines/beer from all over the world. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly, but sometimes hard to find. On this particular day I was on a search for the elusive Pliny the Elder. And although they dont carry that beer the staff was helpful in recommending a few other craft beers for me to try out. Good service, good prices and good selection. Whats not to love. Also, don't forget to sign up for the Bev Mo card. Its free and they always have great deals only for card holders. Like the buy one bottle of wine and get one for 5 cents is pretty spectacular. I highly recommend the smoked gouda with BACON - it's like mana from heaven. This is my must try every time I visit!! Like all BevMos, they have a great selection of beers with a cold section full of craft and regular old beer. This location even has wine/beer tasting events! The staff is pretty friendly and will pretty much help you find a beer best suited for your taste. They were so busy stocking shelves that they forgot to help their CUSTOMERS, so after waiting for 10 minutes with the call button pressed, and then asking someone stocking the shelves for help and getting the reply- "I'll be there in a minute or two" amidst a pretty empty store with plenty if staff.... Shopping for alcohol should be fun! Not here. I went in to make a rather large purchase to stock up for a party. As soon as I crossed the threshold I was met with blaring neon lights and that unmistakable "buzz" of electricity sucking your will to live. As it was my first time here, I had no clue where to go so I meandered through the chardonnay section. I couldn't help but notice that the prices were higher than a grocery store's, and even their 33% off sale seemed to just be off a jacked-up sales price. As I made my way towards the beer section, the scent of bleach and dirty water was overwhelming. I soon found out why as there was a half cleaned-up broken bottle and a dirty mop and water sitting out in the last aisle (this was there and not acknowledged my entire 30 minute visit). I wandered through the beers in search of Primo, and could not find it. Finally, I saw a Bevmo guy helping another customer. I waited patiently for him to finish and he clearly saw me stalking. When he was done, though, he did not look at me but started to hustle off. I said, "excuse me?" and he paused, annoyed. I asked where the Primo was and he literally yelled across the store for another guy to come help me. Ummm...ok. Then this guy walked me over to the Primo, pointed, and left. Jeesh. I still needed to find the Jeager (don't judge) and I didn't want to impose on anyone else's time. I wandered a bit more and could not find it. Finally, a Bevmo guy was stocking some shelves and I asked him. Again...huge chore to take me to it. But here's the kicker. After waiting in line for 10 minutes (seriously!) The guy refused to look up my Club Bev number by name, and just gave me a new one. Then, he stacked my purchase (2 six packs, and a case of a variety of stuff) and did not offer to put it in my cart. Now, I'm no damsel in distress, but seriously? And, he started helping the next customer before my stuff was even off the counter. A huge pet peeve of mine. Total Wine, you have my loyalty! Alcohol...a liquid/beverage that brings everyone joy and happiness...and sometimes an insane headache. This store is located at the corner of the plaza. BevMo! is the supermarkets of anything ALCOHOL-related. When I used to shop for booze, I loved the liqour stores because they had such a wide variety...but then I hated the liqour stores cuz they were all so OVERPRICED...plus there were always a bunch of hobos and weirdos hanging out around the stores. So then I decided to buy booze from a supermarket. Loved the supermarket because of the prices and sales, but hated the supermarkets because there was barely much of a selection. tsk tsk so keep that thought...and find the median between those 2 stores...and bam! BEVMO! The variety and selection is insane! The size of the store is insane! (had no idea there was that much booze to be sold) Its clean! No weirdos or hobos hanging out there! There are sales! Whats cool about the BEVMO is that they also have beer and wine tastings! I think its like $2-$3 to sample 5-6 different types! AWESOME! The world is falling apart. I am giving a alcohol store a 5. hahaha No but to be honest, I hardly drink, I'm allergic to alcohol, and I condemn those who drink and drive. So why the 5? Their service, staff, dedication, and amazing opinions! I went in asking for a specific bottle of Italian desert wine (Castella de Poggio D'asti) because I really liked Olive Garden's Moscato by the same brand. However, I found out that Olive Garden gets theirs specially made and only sold to them. -_- Anyways, I walked in, and immediately someone jumps on me and asks "Hi! Have you been helped?" and I told him what I wanted, and he's already running down the aisle to find it. This store is huge. For these employees to know exactly where a certain bottle or brand of wine is...it's almost...amazing. Maybe i'm not just used to it. They were out of the bottle, but they were going to call me if the next shipment came in, so I was ok with it. Someone even recommended me another brand that was simliar in taste and texture. HOWEVER, after a little bit, one of the gentlemen that worked there, Chris, went back and actually dug out a box of that particular Moscato! :D I was esctatic. I'm just impressed at the level of dedication and how far they went just to make one customer happy. I kid you not, I had 4 employees helping me out and there were other customers in the store too. It really made me feel like a valued customer. Thumbs upppp. Also, I discovered this thing called BLUEBERRY beer. They make...beer...in blueberry flavor? That sounded nasty. But Chris was super helpful, and even called a buddy of his to share their opinion on which brand of flavored beer was best. I haven't touched a drink of alcohol in over 7 years. I decided to stop into BevMo! to check out their selection of bottled waters ( since we are experiencing 90+ degree temperatures lately). I was the only customer in the store. The college aged female , with dark hair and glasses basically ignored me. When I asked for help to pay for my purchase. She stated ' ill be there in a few minutes' and continued to unpack wine for a display in the center isle of the store. Rude and very POOR customer service. I won't be giving any money to BevMo! I'm not a big fan of BevMo. Personally, I prefer going to Total Wine and More in Tustin just a few minutes away from here to purchase my alcohol. But the only reason I come to this BevMo is because I live in Irvine so it's closer, and because they price match Total Wine's prices if you have an ad from Total Wine with you. You don't get the same level of care, service and expertise as you do at Total Wine. The employees here do not seem very interested in helping you as much, whereas at Total Wine they seem eager to help you find what you need. The prices are higher here than Total Wine (probably because it's in Irvine). BevMo is good, not great. read more

It's a chain, so it's only going to differ a little bit from store to store. My thoughts: - USUALLY good for saving some money. Beats the sale prices at grocery/drugs stores most of the time, but not always. - Great selection of liquor and beer - Wine section is huge, but they almost always run out of my favorite! Also, not the best organization in the wine section. They have the shelves labeled by country and type of wine, but on occasion they'll put wines in random areas that they have no recognizable connection to (ALL the bottles from a vineyard, not just one randomly put there by a customer). - Customer service is a resounding "Meh". You can usually hunt down a staff member, but they rarely approach you to see if you need anything. Oh and big minus: Once I got there 10 minutes before closing time to pick up a bottle for the night. Lo and behold, the employees had already closed down and were pulling out of the parking lot as I arrived. Depriving me of my booze because you want to end your shift early? Not cool...not cool...Luckily, this only happened once so it's not a trend (I think) - The guy that runs the wine tastings on weekends is a total grouch. Lighten up man, it's a wine tasting at BevMo. Newbies trying to learn more about wine are going to come, try to deal with it. - Sweet location with great parking. Try and treat it like an online store. It is a ghost town now whenever I visit....I think Total Wines did that much damage to them. The reason for this pricing, but what should be made known to everyone is that BevMo WILL PRICE match. You simply have to mention the price @ Total Wines; however, without knowing this or having the desire to do so, the prices are substantially higher. Some examples I'll give: Arbeg Uigeadal @ BevMo is $74.99. At Total Wines is $59.99. Lagavulin @ Bevmo is $84.99. At Total Wines is $64.99. Glenlivet 18 year @ Bevmo is $69.99. OMG - Kristopher at Bevmo is a SAINT! I work for a nonprofit and I had called another store (Costco to be exact) twice to confirm beer for an upcoming charity golf tournament where I needed to purchase 900 beers. I get to Costco right before the tournament to pick up our confirmed product only to find the guy made a mistake. I was floored and under a huge time pressure. I called around feeling pretty hopeless when I reached Kristopher at Bevmo in Irvine and the service he offered to me was that of a life saver/counselor/cheer leader. Not only did he call me back almost immediately to let me know he was still working on my issue, he then called again a bit later to say he solved part of my problem...then came up with the ultimate solution...and then called AGAIN to give me exact instructions to literally save the day for the thousands of children my charity helps. I will only buy from Bevmo after the lack of concern or care I found at Costco AND the fact that Kristopher took it upon himself to solve my crisis in a timely, professional and Guardian-like manner, I can't thank him enough for helping me keep my sanity that day. I am seriously grateful!! That's top-notch service. I loveee bevmo! If you're a heavy drinker like I am (oh yea!) then bevmo is going to be a store you will be a regular at! Honestly, I don't know where else you can find a store that will beat these prices! I have saved TONSSS of money from buying Hennessy here than any other places. Also, I absolutely love their selection of wine and beer. I got introduced to Belgium beer not too long ago and have been looking for their flavored beer for so long! I finally found it here at bevmo and was so excited! Plus, it's a great price for their big bottles of raspberry beer! YUM! The guys here are pretty chill. I haven't run into any d-bags yet. They're pretty quick to offer some help with opening the cabinets or offering suggestions. One suggestion that I really appreciated from a guy who worked here was that if you're a hennessy drinker like me, the 750ml VS is only 24.99 here compared to 35 bucks at a supermarket. But if you get one from the holiday gift sets, it's the same price AND you get an extra shot of hennessy privilege. Might as well get the gift set for the same price to get the cute little privilege bottle. (: One downside of bevmo is their soda. I know bevmo is a place for alcohol but it's BEVERAGES and moreeee.. I love BevMo! This one in Irvine or any BevMo for that matter. Everytime I step foot into one I feel as giddy as a fat kid in a candy store! It's like an enchanted hop through candy land, except the candy is alcohol and it probably only feels enchanted cause I'm drunk. If you've never been to a BevMo, take the time to go. I love BevMo. I like the cluttered warehouse atmosphere, though it's not cramped or dirty or anything, just not... scary shiny clean. The prices and selection seem pretty good to me. I read through one of their fliers in a fit of boredom at home once and it actually made me want to conduct a gin tasting to see if I could find one I liked better than the one I usually get, just because it was my friend's favourite.. I haven't done so, because I don't actually LIKE gin, but... where was I going? Yeah, they have a lot of booze. What interested me even more, though, was the pretty huge selection of unusual soft drinks. I was very pleased to find Jones New York Crushed Melon soda, which I hadn't been able to find for years. There is a whole shelf full of different root beers, cream sodas, ginger beers and ginger ales, and I've now tried 5 different ginger beers, none of which has actually met my standards (I want one that makes me cough and sneeze when I sniff it), but I think I have a few more to try. read more

I swear I've reviewed this place before but it's not on my list anymore, which is strange, but okay: Every time I come to Beverages & More I feel like they give me more and more reasons to never come again. I live directly across the street - you know how happy I'd be if this place was anywhere near the quality of Total Wine in Tustin Market Place? But they don't even come close so I continue getting in my car and driving over there instead of simply walking out my front door and walking back happy. The first major strike against them was when they bent my ID to the point of it cracking. They didn't think it was actually me on my ID (the picture is a little old, sure) and to "test" it they bent it until it snapped. And of course now that it's snapped they treat me like a jerk every time I want to buy something from them. First they accuse it of being a fake ID, then they say they need manager approval, then they make huffy puffy noises and act like I'm the asshole for holding up their line. I've even been denied beer here a couple times because they don't think my ID is actually me. The prices here are significantly higher than at Total Wine as well. Kegs here are usually $20+ more than they would be at Total Wine (with half the selection). My favorite Stone seasonal beers are always $4.29 at Total Wine compared to $5.99 at Beverages and More. If it wasn't directly outside my front door I swear I would never come back again. +1 star because I guess they have a slightly better selection than Ralphs. read more

This is one of the better BevMo locations I've been to. The parking is ample, and the place stocks a lot more stuff, including snacks. Right now they have their great buy one bottle of wine, get the second for 5 cents deal. If they only have one bottle of wine left of the brand you like, the cashier will go and find another bottle for you. Obviously, Total Wine has a better selection of wine, but this place is good for general party stocking. read more

When I can't find the right booze at Costco, this is where I go. Costco may have some of the best prices for alcohol, but they do not have the selection like BevMo.
