I've had a great experience with this company from start to finish. The ordering process was smooth and easy, and their customer service is truly responsive and helpful. I always felt like someone was there if I needed anything. Shipping was fast and well communicated. I received tracking information promptly, so I knew exactly when my delivery would arrive, and I was able to plan accordingly--no confusion at all. My order arrived securely and on time, and the whole delivery experience was seamless. The wine I ordered was a total hit. The bottles I've opened so far have been excellent--flavorful, well-balanced, and completely enjoyable. It's obvious they take quality seriously. I also reached out with a question about my order, and their team replied quickly and professionally. I decided to stop by their location on my drive to San Diego, where I met the owner (John). I was very impressed with his expert knowledge, and I especially enjoyed their large showroom. I love that they have a HUGE variety and that the space is not cluttered like most liquor businesses. Overall, I'm very impressed with their large variety, fair prices, and incredible customer service. Thanks, John! I will definitely be using this company again. read more

I needed a special tequila and they had it for a great price. I planned a party for 40 with a lot of alcohol, I shopped big brand stores and grocery stores trying to find the best deals. So Cal Wine was one of the best for pricing. You order online and pick up the next day. This is a liquor store, in a little strip and I think they carry every alcohol ever made. I love their online search options. The staff were good and helpful- quick check out. Highly recommend. read more

I've been wanting to gift a 750 ml bottle of Blackened (a whiskey co-founded by Metallica), and whilst comparing prices online, I found this store to have the best value. I paid for 2-5 day shipping, though it took over a week and a half to arrive. No worries; I got updates via email and it was a supply-chain issue. That's totally understandable given everything going on right now. (I will note that luckily for me, I shopped earlier than I needed my present.) It came boxed up and in a super-thick bubble envelope. I was impressed with the care in the packaging! All I have to do is wrap the box and it's ready to go! Next time I come out to eat at Utopia, I'll make a point to stop in the brick-and-mortar location. But for now, I am very happy with my first experience. read more

This is one of those hidden gem places you just feel good supporting! It's a total hole in the wall mom/pop shop where the owners always service you with a smile and remembers your name! You see so many regulars come in and you see the owner greet them by name. It's located behind the chipotle in a random corner. If you're looking to self brew beer, looking for hard to find wines, beers, spirits this is absolutely the place to go! They have a great website to preorder for pickup too. If you're looking for that rare bottle of Scotch/Whiskey they probably have it in stock and at reasonable prices. Even on those rare bottles they don't have much markup like other local liquor stores. This is now my go to spot for sure! This is a family business with usually only one worker so yes you may have to wait if they are busy. But it's worth the wait. read more

They have a vast variety of wine and liquor from very broad age ranges. All types of Scotch Whiskeys, Cognac, and everything in between. The store is relatively standard in size, but the selection is up there with Bevmo and Total Wine & More. Older gentleman at the counter is courteous and friendly. If you like a lot of selections, this place is worth checking out read more

SoCal Wine and Spirits is surprisingly excellent. This is probably one of the better random discoveries I've made recently. In particular I was impressed with the many different varieties of craft beer that they offer, which in many ways is just as good and impressive as some of the bigger alcohol store chains. True to their name, they also offer many kinds of wine and spirits, and other similar products. These also have a varied and interesting selection, so making a choice can be an enjoyable process. More importantly, the prices, from what I can tell, are also very competitive and not unduly inflated like you might find and many independent liquor stores. Overall this is a great location if you are looking for something unusual to bring to a party, or if you are looking for a convenient place to find something different. Five stars and my favorite so far! read more

When you absolutely positively have to have something. You get it in your mind and nothing else will do. Friends wanted to make Grasshoppers and research showed Bols Creme de Menthe is the mint liqueur to make your drinks special. After searching the "big boxes" and their limited selection I searched in vein to find this product in LA near Torrance to no avail. Searched the OC (when you have something in your mind) and SoCal Wine& Spirits (Tustin) came up and I went for it. 37 miles later, success! They had it and to my surprise I didn't have to pay a premium. Best news grasshoppers we're delicious as the Bols was a hit. Thanks SoCal Wine & Spirits. read more

To know me is to know I love my whiskey. So Much so I don't like sharing where I buy the good stuff... Well, I'm not going to make this a long post, but if you enjoy drinking the brown water (whiskey) this place has a fantastic selection! Their pricing is solid and they stock just about everything you want from wine to whiskey. As always you can thank me later! read more

Found things here that I couldn't find elsewhere. Pleasant experience, met a cool patron. Will keep checking in here. Glad I know about it. They aren't the absolute cheapest place, but very competitive with big discount stores for many items. read more

This is our favorite local liquor mart, and it's great to see our buddy Dave here from our old school liquor store from about 15 years ago in Anaheim. This spot is conveniently located across the street from our local Albertsons and US Bank. We usually pop in here for our favorite Extra Anejo, Dame Mas, in the Black hand painted bottle. We enjoy their large selection of liquor and craft brews. Only suggestion is that they play some type of music because it's always dead silent in here. Otherwise and killer spot that falls right between big store style BevMo's but offers way better selection that your local grocer. Thanks Dave and crew for a great addition to Tustin. read more

SoCal Wine & Spirits is my go to for all liquor. Always have great stock, service is great.

Shopped here for years spent thousands of $. FedEx made an error and they nickle and dimed me over the shipping cost refund... Needless to say I'll shop with others in the future. Took 15 plus emails just to get refunded for the original bottles. Very elitist attitude. Not customer centric at all. I would look at Titan, Bounty Hunter and Keg N bottle! Run now before you have an issue. read more

I don't drink alcohol but we were looking for some Tequila to give as a gift. They had a very large selection and prices seemed low compared to other stores we checked. The lady who answered the phone and the men behind the counter were more than friendly. We got excellent advice on picking a sipping quality. The gift was a hit. We glad we ran into this find. Truly professional. read more

Very poor customer service. They have excellent selection of spirits. I ask to use pen to sign lottery ticket and the older Middle Eastern man tosses pen at me. Maybe it's cultural differences, or just a rude jerk. Will never shop her again. High Times in Costa Mesa treats their customers with RESPECT. Also, 11 cents for a small paper bag after spending $50 on bottle of Bourbon. read more

Love this place!!! I love how they always try to look for the beverage that I would ask for Instead of just saying no. No more stocks. This is my go to liquor store now. You guys have changed my world. They have a great selection of craft beer, wine and specially whiskey!!! read more

This is my spot to find decent store picks and the absolutely best selection of semi-rare bottles of whiskey or bourbon (or scotch or gin or tequila...). However, they tend to really mark up the harder to find bottles up to secondary market levels. Nonetheless, you can't beat the sheer quantity of liquor (and wine) and there's always something new that you'll want to check out. read more

Sent a Postmates delivery driver to this store. I had requested two six packs of a common IPA and got a message from the driver that they only had one. I asked them to find something similar. Shop employees helped the driver select a cool recent selection from the same brewery and despite the price difference being slightly higher, covered it and sent me an awesome beer choice. This shop is awesome and the owner remembers people. Please come here once we're past the virus concerns. Great job and I hope to be here lots in the future! read more

I will have to say, that I'm quite impressed with the wine selection that they have here at SoCal wine and spirits. I talked to one of the people on staff there and they said they really have been working hard to improve their store, and I can see that it's very well organized. I happen to be a big fan and a lover of suggestive wine labels. They have got quite a wide selection in their section of the store. few very interesting and suggestive labels here. I find myself in a cool little zone of my own, to be able to take pictures of things I find to be amusing. It just makes me smile. I ended up selecting a Red wine and a Zinfandel, both with great labels! read more

John(owner) is awesome!! I found the drink I was looking for on their website, texted via yelp to confirm that they have in stock. Excellent selection and good prices too. Friendly and helpful staff member I engaged with.

There's something about someone shouting at you from across the store "DO YOU NEED HELP FINDING ANYTHING?!" that really makes you feel like that person is not really interested in helping you find anything. I stopped in here last night because I was in the area and it seemed like a better option than the nearby Albertsons. I'll probably re-think that the next time I'm around here again... probably could have found better service at the chain grocery store. Also, the bottle I ended up choosing myself was corked. read more

This place is flat out the best liquor store in the area. The craft beer and whiskey selection is incredible and very well organized. Excellent store with great customer service. Employees are sharp, very knowledgeable and can help you find what you're looking for very quickly. I was checking the mail and going through all the junk to see if anything didn't need to be recycled, and I saw a flyer for this place. I normally just buy all my booze from Total Wine or Hi-Time Wine Cellar in Costa Mesa, but I decided not to reflexively toss it. After I looked it over, I saw that they were advertising WL Weller, which is never in stock at Total Wine. Furthermore, it was a buck cheaper. I figured at the very least, I'd pop in, buy a couple bottles of Weller, and the trip would be a success. As my nav led me closer, I remembered that there used to be a liquor store here before, some ghetto liquor mart that I could see from the drive through at the KFC, but never entered, because I figured they'd have the same selection as the Albertson's 20 feet away, only $5/bottle more for everything. I was hoping that it was not just the same place, only with a new sign. And it wasn't, thankfully! All the lights worked! Gone was the aura of potential stabbings! The place is sort of laid out like Hi-Time. Standard convenience-store/gas station shelves that are all stocked with booze. As you walk in the store, it's cognac(?), Whiskey, bourbon, tequila, vodka, then rum. I pored over the bourbon section to find the WL Weller, but... None! NOOOOO! I asked the owner, John helpfully went to the back to restock for me. YESSSSSS! I browsed the beer selection in the fridge and found that it had some Clown Shoes Pecan Pie Porter, a brew which I'd been trying to find at Total Wine, but never had. (Decent stuff, btw.) Friendly staff, no having to wait for an attendant to look up prices/stock in a computer, good selection, and decent pricing. If you live in the area, I definitely recommend the place, or call ahead to see if they've got something that your big chain isn't carrying. read more

UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE: I recently went in to buy a bottle of my favorite liqueur. The price on the shelf was $29.99, but when the clerk rang it up the price was $32.99. When I pointed out that under the law the store was obligated to sell it to me at the marked price, he refused and stated that he did not have authority to adjust any price. So I left and bought it at another nearby retailer for only one dollar more. I shall not return. Management needs to inform their employees about California consumer protection laws. read more

This place is amazing! I am always torn between telling people about it and NOT telling people about it because I'm the jealous gf/bf that likes to hoard for themselves. I don't even drink that much but when I do I drive to SoCal from wherever I am. They carry everything and if they don't have it they will order it for you. On a side note, they also have Chedda Kettle Chips which are IMPOSSIBLE to find and will pricematch. You guys are awesome and deserve more than 5 stars!! read more

If you want someone to try and belittle you and be disrespectful to you. Go ahead and call this place, that's what you'll get. My sister is looking for a specific Hennessy limited edition bottle, their website says it has it but we're an hour away so I wanted to make sure they had it before making the drive. And the guy was so rude and disrespectful over the phone, even if they had the bottle I wouldn't have gone cause of that experience. Train people with basic customer service skills, cmon. read more

SoCal is awesome! I'm a Blanton's fan but every now and then I want something different, so I'll ask John for a recommendation. Let me tell you, he knows his shit. He not only recommends, but gives a little background about the bourbon. Their prices are amazing, they have great customer service with knowledgeable staff, AND they sell winning lottery scratchers. Okay, so I don't always win, but I do better at SoCal than I do at other places. So..... go in, buy your spirit of you choice, grab some scratchers and have a great evening! read more
