I always have a perfect experience at BevMo on Culver Drive in Irvine! The store is well stocked with products and has the best sales team. I'm particularly impressed with Juanita who has great energy, a beautiful smile and is always pleasant to encounter at the store! read more

I think BevMo is good if you are a member. Then you get discounts. I think the prices here are higher than I would like to spend on alcohol. However, they have a good selection of it. I saw some $$$$ wine and liquor. Plenty of parking in the lot. Credit card accepted. read more

The service was terrible. Ive been to a BevMo before and they did not care that it was my 21st birthday, I still got alcohol. At this specific BevMo they were rude from the start asking for IDs as soon as we came in the door. When we went to the register they IDed my friend who just turned 21 and said they have to wait another day to buy from them. As soon as someone turns 21 on the day of, they are the legal age to drink. On top of this they followed us around the store the whole time. read more

Rudest workers ever. Denied us cause we talked to someone we did not know who would not give their id.

As a Bourbon lover i never see them with anything cool. Been visiting for 2 years now but have not really seen allocated. Except the ones they try to bundle with meh bottles. I would rather go to the Bevmo in Orange or Total Wine at Tustin. Same bottles collecting dust now. One time i asked if they had a bottle in stock and flatly denied saying they have not seen it. Went outside to my car and ordered it online. 5 minutes later i picked it up. Trust went down. read more

I've had multiple terrible experiences at BevMo with expired products. First, I bought Alamaza beer that was 2 years past expiration. When I pointed it out, I assumed it was a one-off mistake. But then I bought Heineken that was also expired which is shocking given how quickly Heineken usually sells. Today was the final straw: I bought a bag of chips that turned out to be 3 months expired (see photo). It's unacceptable for a store of this size and reputation to have such poor inventory management. Selling expired food and drinks isn't just unprofessional; it's unsafe. I won't be shopping here again, and I'd strongly caution others to double-check dates before buying anything. read more

Worst service at any BevMo I've been too not only did I wait almost 20 min before someone came to the register but the old hag who attended to me was rude she seemed to hate her job and was finding any means to discriminate me as I'm darker skin. There's a reason dispensaries are gaining popularity and the alcohol industry is losing money this place is a joke save your money and drink rubbing alcohol instead. read more

They must be either incompetent or just petty. I visited BevMo to buy some LA Gritona, but my cousin, who is over 21, didn't have her ID. Despite presenting my ID, the orange-tanned girl at the front informed me that it was some policy. I called BS! I've been to BevMo several times with others, and they've only asked for my ID. When I inquired about the policy, she also mentioned that both of us were looking for it. Well, the drink is white, specific, and the only tequila I drink. I didn't realize that asking someone with me if they saw something I was looking for would be an issue. I didn't have time to argue. I begged my date was waiting on me, so I ordered it to be delivered. When I received the delivery, it was a bottle of whiskey! How did you read an online order that said "LA Gritona 750ML Tequila" and give me some cheap ssa whiskey? Let alone, I'm allergic to wheat! Do better! I'll never return here, and if I could leave zero stars, I would read more

Juanita's THE MANAGER . She always keeps an eye on me even though I'm legal age. She's rude and dismissive. The reviews are telling. She claims anybody that comes into the store HAS to be 21+ but she lets people bring in their teenagers/kids. I came in with myself and my coworker BOTH of age and claimed since we WERE BOTH LOOKING AT IT AND TOUCHING IT BOTH ID HAVE TO BE SHOWN. PETTY AS FUCK!!!! read more

Large clean and brightly lit retail location that has a large variety of alcohol and everything that goes with it, including mixers, snacks, and even groceries. It can be your one stop shop for your adult beverage party needs. Their regular prices are a little higher than elsewhere but that's what you pay for the convenience. I found a way to get discounts and great deals through GoPuff because it allows you to order online and pick up from BevMo, and it regularly emails and texts me with offers. read more

CARLOS "Service Manager" was extremely rude and being unrealistic about why a store like BevMo is even in place. Imagine going to a store where the "Manager" decides to go flex power or whatever and basically press one of my employees (I run an auto repair shop just down the street from this location) for not having identification on him. Like he's a criminal. He had his identification in the vehicle he drove us in but did not bring it since he was waiting for me to complete a purchase after a long day of work. But no instead he proceeds to press him and me and essentially cancel the whole transaction and make a scene while a line is accumulating. Tells me his name and Spells it out and tells me to be sure I spell it right when I make this review about him. BevMo if you're seeing this, I really hope you remind CARLOS that he has the "position" he has because of customers like me. I will see to it that all of my customers do not support a business that hosts people like CARLOS. It's ridiculous to be treated this way just to purchase a buzz ball. I ended literally going to the 7/11 right next to them with no issues. BevMo can do better. read more

Big fan of BevMo. Keep those weekly discount coupons coming!!! With the prices of everything skyrocketing, that includes wine, beer and liquor. I normally get my whites, scotch and whiskey at BevMo. BevMo is always my go-to for a wide selection of wines and spirits, and the staff is super helpful. However, I'm giving four stars because they don't carry the 25-year Chivas Regal, which is a bit disappointing. Otherwise, it's a great store with plenty of other excellent options. read more

My review is for Go Puff pick up orders. Front line employee (cashier) was extremely rude when I came to pick up my orders. This was my 3rd order using this pick up locations and every time there are a little bit of confusions. Even though I explained him that I'm not a Go Puff delivery person and clearly identified myself as customer picking up own orders, he sent me to the back of the building where drivers would pick up items and made me wait out side for over 10 mins. Apparently my orders weren't ready either. There were random guys hanging out in and out of bushes and I felt very unsafe being back of the building for unforeseen time period. Can't wait for my local BevMo to start serving go puff orders. Go Puff is good system but BevMo employees who are not clearly familiar with system, it's defeating the purpose. read more

Thank god there's a BevMo in Irvine. At a park concert and didn't bring enough wine, faux pas on us! Knowing the Irvine lacked liquor stores, we yelped and found BevMo 2 miles from our venue. Sent the boys to pick up more wine, you can count on them to have their refrigerated wine selections ready to go! Yea BevMo! read more

This location is incredibly clean and well organized. Employees were friendly and efficient. Selection was similar to most other BevMo! locations. They had a good assortment of international beverages and even some rare soft drinks that's fun to look at. Only thing you have to watch out for is their prices. While their sale prices generally compensate for the higher marker prices, it doesn't also work For example, their buy one bottle of wine get the 2nd for 5 cents, generally puts both bottles at the price you could buy elsewhere. Therefore you're tricking (or forcing) you into buying 2 bottles. For most people, this isn't a bad thing, but if your looking for a just one bottle, you might save money going elsewhere. read more

Got some serious hit or miss with competence. The most recent vis was beyond incompetent. Needed a bottle behind the glass, cashier said let me help the next person first, as he said the key was at the other drawer. I said cool, but then decided to take about 5 minutes to check out 3 bottles. Then he said I don't have a key, find someone at the back. He did aplogize, however, when I got to the back, there was someone working and ignored me asking for help before I had to raise my voice. Finally comes out of hiding and clearly hates his job. Finally got the bottle, then brings it up, but lo and behold there's a line. Waited another 5 minutes for the line to clear. 20 minutes late it's finally done. I've been going here for over a decade and shit does it suck now. What normally takes less than 2 minutes with no line turned into watching paint dry. All I gotta say is damn, this used to have pretty good employees but damn do these blow. It's a very convenient location, so just manager your expectations. read more

I have $50.00 in gift cards. I was in the store today (07-09-2022) and attempted to purchase $46.00 worth of spirits. I was told by the cashier that the he could not swipe my gift cards because it would "freeze" his computer. The cashier spoke to someone, I presume a supervisor, that I could not, and he would not swipe my gift cards for my purchase. The cashier did say I could do an online order. I did not have the time to do that. So now I have $50.00 in gift cards in my wallet and Beverages and More in Irvine on Culver is out of a sale. I hate leaving negative reviews on Yelp. None of the staff at the Irvine location would even attempt to accommodate me. I ended up going to Total Wine on Jamboree in the Tustin Marketplace and making my purchase there. read more

How do you not check if someone if committing fraud from another person? They should check to see if that person is the same person that bought alcohol. As in the same ending of a debt/credit card. The man at the front counter was beyond incompetent. I placed an online order for pickup and sent all the information to my husband's email because he got off work nearby. As I do with all Bevmos in the area, I placed the order and my husband goes to pick it up with the confirmation email, no problem about it. However, the man at the front refused to give my very grown and very age-legal husband the order because his ID didn't match the name, even though he had the email confirmation and a full description of the order, so it wasn't like he was trying to pick up a random order. Also, remember that there is no option to change the order name online as I have tried in the past. I got a call from him and told him to just wait so I could call the store and see what the problem was because this had never happened before. Same guy answers the phone and as I try to explain that no other Bevmo has given me this problem, he begins talking over me to explain how those stores are doing it wrong. Sir, I don't care! It's really not that deep-- the alcohol isn't yours, the money doesn't affect you, and it's already paid for??? Its ridiculous that you feel you can treat paying customers this way, especially when it was already bought and paid for so it actually makes your job a little easier? What also rubbed me the wrong way was that he mentioned the LAST names have to match up: I apologize for not taking my husband's last name after our marriage because if I had known that BEVMO would give us a hard time, I probably would've made him take mine. Absolutely ridiculous service, terrible attitude, and all for what? It really wasn't going to affect you in any way. Expect a call to corporate and Mr. Mendoza, your team needs a serious adjustment on their attitude and customer service. read more

Service was helpful and lead me across the store to find what I needed quickly before my 7pm appointment. Cashier also helped me sign up for ClubBev to get through the line quickly. Gave a four because signs are hard to read inside the store so it's confusing where everything is. read more

This is in my neighborhood so I go here often. They have a good selection of beer and wine, most at competitive prices. On occasion they have their wine five-cent sale which lets you buy one bottle of wine at the regular price and a second bottle of the same wine for only five cents. I definitely go stock up on my favorite wines whenever they run that sale because you just can't beat that deal. Another service they provide is online ordering. You can look at wines on their website and make your purchases but ask that they be available for pickup at your local BevMo store. Then just stop by and pick them up at your convenience (must bring proper identification). Cool, huh? They also sell hard liquor, odd-brand soda, cheeses and snacks. With one exception, staff here have always been pleasant and helpful. read more

Lacking selection and half the store looks like a rite aid. Stick with Total Wine or hi-times wine cellar.

Service has always been really good. The staff are well trained and very helpful. They have plenty of parking. They almost never have long lines because of high staffing. This place is awful, 4 employees and no one in the store. 15 minutes of them just chatting away. Why should I walk up just to grab someone then walk up again to have to pay? Can't even get someone to unlock a case so I can get some mezcal. Even the cheap booze is locked up. Definitely no rhyme and reason to this place. Pardon my being in jeans and a t shirt. I've been here a lot. The newbies are awful and obviously don't last long here because there's always newbies. They said they check "everyone's ID in a group when they enter a Bevmo store", but I've come here enough to know that's not true and not legal for purchasing alcohol in CA. You're only supposed to check the ID of the person purchasing. I've seen literal kids come into the store with their parents. No ID check. Apparently, once you're past an unknown arbitrary age that Bevmo does not tell you about, you need an ID, even if you're not the one buying. But even if you show them your ID, although you are not purchasing, the young cashier kid hasn't been alive long enough to be able to tell how old someone is by looks and doesn't know what to look for when they have said ID in their hand. So they just hold on to it and stare blankly. For a long time. I'm sorry I look young because I'm asian, but I spend a lot of time and money to keep it that way. The regular older employees though, they're great. Stop hiring younuns that don't know anything. read more

Ordered online and my order was not ready between the time I selected. The store was pretty empty, so they can't complain about being busy.

I'm a whiskey fiend. I like drinking whiskey so much that one may consider my drinking a problem if I didn't drink socially half the time. But this review isn't about my love of sweet sweet hooch. No... its about this Bevmo. Look: any alcohol warehouse is basically a playground for me. I frolic up and down the aisles, making excited little noises as I find more drink that I want to try. So why did I only give this Bevmo three stars? - This is more a problem with Bevmo as a whole and not this particular location: if you're a whiskey hound like I am: the prices here are only OKAY. Better than some mainstream retailers, but more expensive than some of Bevmo's direct competition ( whom I shall not name on this review ). - The staff here is only moderately helpful. Other locations in other cities have had some stand out staff members make suggestions, converse about everything drink and I even had one Bevmo have staff members walk around the store with me picking out what I desired ( I also drank a hell of a lot more back then... probably was on some sort of VIP super buyer's program or something ). - On one occasion, a cashier was away from her station talking with what appeared to be a customer over in the corner of the store. After she noticed me standing, waiting to check out, she and her "customer" walked back over toward the door, exchanged a hug and her "customer" walked out empty handed. That annoyed me a bit. Clearly they were friends chit chatting at the expense of my time, waiting to pay for my purchase. So if this was the case, then why did this Bevmo deserve three stars? - Well; again speaking as a whiskey aficionado: there is some stuff that Bevmo stocks that I cannot find in stock anywhere else to save my life. - This store is pretty well laid out. It's not difficult for me to find anything in here. So there you have it. A boozehound's playground turned mediocre from service staff. I will be coming back to this location, I'm sure; but I don't look forward to the visit... just the delicious drink that I take home with me. read more
