The one man working there was friendly and there was a wide selection of all types of drinks to choose from. The reason for the low review is I went in for a type of whiskey they didn't have (fine) and they offered a different product that was supposed to be similar (also fine). The problem is that I looked up the item afterwards and this location charges about double the price of what you would normally spend on this "Japanese whiskey" (air quotes because further research shows that it's not a true Japanese whiskey). Is the whiskey good? Not sure but this review is to warn people to check on pricing and what items they want before going in to this location. read more

I have no problem with the store, just the cashier who rang me up. Her name is JESSICA. Super cocky & rude. Acted like she was bothered just because I asked her for some help with the digital coupon program. It was quite embarrassing, because I didn't know their system, and she was annoyed by that. I don't know what it is about today today's younger workers? It's like I think the world owes them something? No respect or politeness. I'm sure the CEO of Albertsons doesn't want that type of brand! read more

Went in to browse in preparation for a party, was treated poorly and was told to never come back. The guy at the cash register was upset for no reason, not a good experience. read more

This liquor store is one of the best liquor stores I've been too with a variety of items and great service I recommend!!

So happy to see liquor store staying open past midnight I definitely understand for safety concerns why they don't. The staff was friendly and was joking with us if I'm ever in the area again would definitely go back to this location. read more

Fraudulent business practices. Purchased 12 pack of seltzer with price displayed as $24.99 Paid $29.39. Price didn't seem right but I was in a hurry and people in line behind me. At 7.75% retail sales tax and a $0.05/can CRV x 12 I should have paid $27.52 Will never purchase anything here again and they will be reported to the property California consumer advocate authority. Good luck scammers! read more

One of the reasons why i love living in Orange County. We have some of the best unique looking liquor and wine stores here. I have been to Wine Spirits a few times in the past. I stopped here over the weekend to see what kind of wines i can imbrace inside my liquor cabinets at home and for some to drink. They have so many different brands of alcohol here besides wines. They have cool drinks as well. Just about everything from sodas to boose lol. Great workers and staff here. This will be one of my go to places from now on. read more

I gave this one-star review an extra star because the complaints people are making about the business's parking spots are not valid. Hundreds of thousands of OC businesses have reserved parking. If you don't respect it, that's **your** problem, not the business's. However, the complaints about upcharges and double-card-swipes are 100% valid. So no one's coming to their rescue this place with 5-star reviews. If you go here, pay cash, and double-check your receipt to make sure everything you were charged for reflects the price on what you're buying. I used to come here because they stocked Pliny the Elder, but wrote the place off after I was upcharged on a couple of six-packs I'd purchased in addition to the Pliny. read more

This was the only place I could find in like 5 mi.² that sold the kraken cola. The owner was a super nice dude and was super helpful. And the prices actually weren't that bad. read more

Costa Mesa Wine and Spirits is my go-to liquor store. What sets it aside from other local stores is the sheer variety - a multitude of different craft beers and ciders (as well as all of the familiar favourites), and a huge number of different wines to choose from. Although it's not my thing, the shelves are packed with all kinds of spirits. The staff are always friendly, and the prices are good. I've never had issues parking despite the business of the shopping centre its located in, thanks to the dedicated parking spots. I highly recommend Costa Mesa Wine and Spirits, you're bound to find something you like there! read more

Super disappointed in the customer service when I requested to cancel my subscription. It took them a week to respond and when they did their emails contradicted each other. I still don't know if it's cancelled. read more

Went in for a pack of beer. Usually don't go to liquor stores but it was next to my hotel. Bought a 6 pack and handed the girl a $100. Made a smirky face and shook her hand and said "wow". Try helping small businesses but instead they get mad because they have to give change. Owell read more

I love that this random liquor store carries a local gluten free beer called Divine Science. I was visiting a friend down the street and decided to stop by... with little hopes being that I'm celiac. But low and behold in their beer fridge - a Gluten Free Beer! read more

They have a beer fridge. A WALK-IN FRIDGE DEDICATED TO CRAFT BEERS. For such a small shop, I applaud them for that. I walked into it out of curiosity and it wasn't too cold, but I was wearing two jackets cause the nights have been super chilly lately. Either way, it can fit at most two people at a time, maybe three, but that would be a tight fit. Great selection and bottles from top to bottom. Legit. I spent way too much time talking about this beer fridge. The selection for spirits and wine is a pretty decent variety too. The owner really takes pride in his collection and if you're a regular, he's a pretty cool guy to talk to. I'm not the regular one here, but my brother stops in weekly for his beer or wine treat. I accompany him a few times, but I have yet to commit to purchasing a bottle of bourbon to start my collection. I'll have to update when I do. There's about 3-5 parking spaces dedicated to the store, which makes it easy to hop in and out without the hassle of trying to find parking. This plaza is infamous for lack of spaces, but there's always open spaces at the extended stay around the corner. Just park and walk over if you plan on dining in the area. read more

This guy is beyond rude and disrespectful!! He assumed I wasn't a customer and that I was parking outside of his store, only to walk to another restaurant close by. He was telling me how I couldn't park outside of his store because it was for customers only. He was standing there with his arms crossed and pointing his finger how I needed to move my car. He didn't even wait to see if I was a customer and didn't even have the decency to ask me. I was trying to take my 4 year old out of her car seat when he started attacking me. I came to his store to buy cold drinks for my girls who were at dance class. We forgot to bring cold drinks and I didn't have cash for the vending machine. Next time, I'm going to another store close by or the gas station to get what I need. His customer service is just repugnant!! read more

Hmm.. since this is not the only liquor store in the area, I would definitely not come here again. In fact, I could not even go in because the worker basically blocked me from going inside. I came to this plaza to go to a vape shop. I found a parking space in front of this shop and thought "perfect, I can buy something to drink too after going to the vape shop!." So, I parked my car in the spot, and then this guy came out of this shop and started staring at me with a very mean face... I was wondering if he was a worker or just a weird customer... As soon as I got out of my car and started walking towards the vape shop, he yelled "YOU CANNOT PARK HERE!" .......okay....... I guess I won't go into your shop anymore. Sure, that parking spot is supposed to be just for this shop, but your job is not to stay at the door like a watcdog to bark at possible customers protecting a parking spot. I do not need these people or service in my life, so bye, I will never come back here. So glad the vape shop in this plaza had a very friendly nice guy who helped me just to buy one battery right after this incident. That is called customer service, and I will be coming back to the vape shop avoiding this liquor store. read more

For being a little wine and spirit shop this place has a decent size walk in Humidor. They have your standard liquor store offerings sodas, snacks, nick nacks, and energy drinks. But they also have a large selection of wines and hard booze. For me the Humidor is where its at. Local, fair pricing, and a pretty decent selection of cigars. Cigars range from the $2.00 for one to $40 depending on your taste. I picked up 2 Cohibas for $20 piece. Not bad. Ill take that price and the covenant and helpful service over having to drive to some strange smoke shop. Store workers that I have encountered have all been relatively knowledgeable about the cigars so that helps too. read more

Went here to get something to drink. I bought 2 energy drinks that were priced at 2 for $4 dollars and a bag of peanuts for .99. I was charged $7. I thought whatever and gave him a $20. He gave me back $3, I said I gave you a $20 and he reached in and gave me another $10 back. He didn't ask if I was sure he just gave it to me. He knew he was ripping me off and hoping I didn't catch it. So if you want to get ripped of this is the place to go! read more

this is actually the most expensive liquor store i've ever been in. no idea why people come here. i got 2 packs of white claws and home boy charged me $55. never coming here again. read more

For a pretty tiny store this place packs a punch! Cigar humidor, your usual liquor selection, and just what I came for... a wall full of fine craft beer! The owner knows his stuff and based off of what I picked made some other recommendations that were exactly the other few beers I was looking at. The only thing I could recommend to step it up another notch would be to put beer advocate or ratebeer ratings on some of the heavy hitters. Its not *that* difficult to look something up on my phone, but it makes it much easier to gravitate toward a $15 six pack when its got a beeradvocate score of 100 stamped right next to the price. read more

Not a reputable business. I would recommend staying away from this place and patronizing another liquor store. There's a decent one in the same parking lot as The Camp. If you absolutely gotta go here--just don't let the cashier take your card to swipe it for you. They could swipe it twice and you'll get dinged twice on your bank account.* This happened to me, and even after showing the owner ("Eddie") the transactions in my bank account he wouldn't recredit the extra charge back to my bank account. Oh well, lesson learned. Avoid this place, or eyeball your credit card when they run it through the device. *** This is getting into speculative territory, but I'm assuming they're doing something fishy with their card readers or hid one of the receipt printers in a sound-proof drawer. I dunno. I just know it's odd that they seem to prefer to slide your card for you. Take this with a grain of salt. read more

Look. Some of these reviews are ridiculous. Owner getting upset that you're parking in front of his store with parking spots clearly marked specifically for his store then walking to get ramen or vape god juice instead? Who would have guessed he'd react that way? It's a small parking lot. If there are no parking spots for patrons they may be tempted to go somewhere else which is simply bad for business. He pays for those spots. I love this little liquor store. They have a truly excellent selection of craft beer and he always makes sure to keep at least one six pack of pizza port swamis stocked for me. All around good shop, good guy, and personable. Parking being tight is not grounds for a bad review of the store itself. read more

Great walk in beer fridge (plus all the standards), cigar humidor, and larger than most wine selection. Lots of vodka to chose from, no Reyka sadly but plenty others. All that's needed is a bigger scotch and fine whiskey. read more

One of the worst establishments that I've ever had the displeasure to PARK at. This review is specifically in regards to the parking regulations and the unscrupulous actions of the owner. This is a busy stretch of property, there are a few exclusive restaurants on this piece of land, it's prime real estate to say the least, and to make matters worse, parking is horrendous. There are about 25 parking spots for 10-15 different businesses. Yes, there were signs that stated the parking spots were specifically for customers of the liquor store. However, as life is, and you're in the midst of chaos and lost in the moment, most are surely to overlook the signs and go abour their business- as we did. As we wanted to check out one of the restaurants off the corner, we initially parked in front of the liquor store. Luckily, I stayed in the car. After no more than 5 minutes, here's the owner standing outside his establishment, arms crossed, with a shit-eating grin from ear to ear. Didn't know what is was about, went about my business. He left went into the store. Suddenly instincts kicked in. He had obviously called a tow truck. What really drove me was the fact this "man" -whom cowardly hid in his store to call and get our car towed and then proceeded to stand in front his store & seemingly square off with our car, did not have the decency nor heart to inform us about the parking beforehand. I don't care what the competition is from other businesses, you DON'T treat people like that. Maybe, if the owner learned a thing or two, he might be bring in more profit. SO BEWARE OF PARKING IN FRONT OF THEIR STORE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CAR TOWED. Thankfully, we left before the truck got there. From now on, I'll make sure to go in before hand, drop a dime, and be on my way. Though in all honesty, this store isn't worth a penny nor a second of my time. read more

If I could give this place a zero star I would. Not only do they mandate not being able to park outside of their store for the much more purposeful establishments in the plaza, but the time I go in to buy a bottle of tea, I received one of the worst instances of customer service in my entire life. I bought a bottle of tea, 2 juices, and an energy drink. I was refused a bag because I happened to have a very basic drawstring napsack and when I went to put away my tea -- the tea bottle slipped out of my hand (it was a rainy, cold night) and broke on the floor. I apologize profusely and immediately tried to bend to pick up the glass and the first thing out of the cashier's mouth was "you can't have another one" -- RUDE. Don't give these jerks your money. Go someplace else and hopefully they'll go out of business and open this plaza up for more Kitakata Ramen. It's worth any additional mileage to go and buy liquor from someone else. read more

Ignore the bad reviews. This is a well stocked store with a wide selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Convenient location and dedicated parking in front make it an easy stop. All of the bad reviews are from people that got caught trying to park in the dedicated spaces to go to other businesses that share the parking lot. read more
