Then I ask if "would you mind show me something close to this tv" he replied "there's nothing close it's too cheap" the tv was $1200 when there's tvs there for less. So I went next door to Walmart and spend half of that. Lots of demo devices to get the feel and trial before making the purchase. Saves you a trip to return to Amazon. I enjoy the window shopping and trying stuff out. The associate has managed the customers well and I didn't have to wait for long. They found my item quickly even through it was holidays time. Took hardly 5 minutes. Item was packed well. First off, there's plenty of parking space available on the spacious ranch drive. I bought many products here such as headphones, laptops, television, etc. The staff have always been helpful and provide you with great knowledge on the products. Most are very friendly and will approach you with any questions you may have which they don't get commission compared to Frys Electronics. They have great warranty. Once the item was accidentally damaged, I'll just return at the store and they will provide you a new one. From my experience, I advise to always get warranty on electronic devices. You can also apply for a rewards card to earn points and receive discounts. read more

I went to exchange my Macbook Pro on Sunday for a silver color and they didn't have it. I decided to pay a difference for one available at Santana Row with more gigabytes just so I can take it home the same day. An employee told me I can pick it up that day once I get an email within an hour saying that it's available for pick up. I checked my email receipt and it says that the estimated date was Thursday. I called to make sure I can pick it up, but they said it won't come in until Thursday. Overall, friendly customer service, but the miscommunication stressed me out. Their mobile department doesn't help when their customer stuck in a bad situation like this. People at the counter repeat back "there is nothing we can do" no matter how I try to make my point. I realized that I'm a elite member with extended return day, but they still refuse my claim because cell phones are separate. I bought a Nokia 9 at this store 3 weeks ago, and my phone takes photos with blank boxes in it. I regret I made this purchase at best buy. Amazon would have took care this with no questions asked. At the end, Nokia made bad product and they told me reset the phone. That simple. Best buy distributes defective product like mine with no buyer protection. The customer service was good UNTIL the employees assumed that my boyfriend and I were scamming them. Here's the story - my bf bought me airpods for Christmas & he bought this on xmas eve when I was at work. The day after xmas, I was talking to my bf about exchanging them for the pros because it's only $70 more. He said no problem, we can go exchange it after work on Friday. Friday night comes and we go back to the Best Buy he purchased it from. And we asked them if we could exchange it for the pros but they were out of stock, so my bf and I decided to return them and go to the Apple store to get the pros. The girl was happy to do the refund until she scanned the airpods box & the receipt and the serial number didn't match. this is when the customer service was lowered. They asked if we happened to switch it with another person who got airpods - no, we didn't interact with anyone who got airpods since I've received the gift. They repeated this several times. And the answer was no every time. My bf told them that when he went in to buy the airpods, the employee that rung him up scanned 7 diff airpods before giving him one so he may have mistakenly given my bf one that was scanned. If that makes sense. We asked them to check the cameras & to call the employee but they weren't willing to do so. After some convincing, the manager finally gave us our refund. I was livid. Yes I understand ppl try to scam a lot, especially during this time of the year. But things didn't add up - 1. Why would we go back to the SAME store we got it from? 2. Why would we insist on checking the cameras & reaching out to the employee? 3. Why wouldn't I just ask for the full refund in the beginning if all I wanted was $$?! I just wanted the damn AirPod pros ‍ I'm giving them 3 stars because we got the refund & the customer service was good until they began accusing us. -2 stars because they kept asking if we switched the airpods MULTIPLE times. When I've noted that we didn't every time they've asked. LEARNING LESSON: I know mistakes happen since we're human. But if you guys buy expensive stuff from Best Buy, don't leave their store until you check that the receipt serial # matches your item serial number so you can prevent this from happening to you. Their car installation was good except they are short handed on Sundays. I tried to install a double din reciever on my 5th gen Camaro but couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. I was able to install the PAC mounting kit and all the tech guy had to do was wire up my radio and slide it in. The original estimated time to completion was 2 hours if he had to do everything from the beginning but since I did half the work, I was expecting less than 2 hours. In all, he found out why my radio wouldn't turn on (blown fuse), fixed it, and I was on my way. Total time: 2.5 hours Only reason it took him so long was because he switched from manning the shop and helping customers on the sales floor at the same time. Not his fault though and I completely understand being short handed but Best Buy should really look into staffing issues. Leaving my car in a wide open garage with the keys nearby is sketch. I wandered around Best Buy and eventually kicked it in their TV section watching demos of Avengers on the newest flat screens. If he had to start from scratch, I'm sure it would've taken him at least 3 hours. Only wish they had a couch so I could watch whatever was playing on their screens while I waited. read more

I purchased a new head unit for my car from Best Buy and took advantage of the free installation offer. On the plus side, the basic functionality of the unit works, and the total cost was half of what a store that specialized in car audio quoted me. On the negative side, the person doing the install was unprofessional and my experience did not match what the salesperson in the story told me to expect. The receipt from Best Buy includes a "Quality Service Checklist", but none of the items listed were completed by the installer and the installer did not do a system demonstration as Best Buy website claimed they would. More troubling, is that some features were not installed correctly. My head unit came with 2 USB inputs: one for CarPlay, and one for charging. The installer did not bother to make the one for charging accessible and I had to go back and request this change after noticing the problem. My head unit also came with an external microphone, but I do not know if it's placed properly or even connected. When I call people, they complain about echo. I don't know what the problem is, but it's extremely disappointing to have a new head unit installed and one of its features not work correctly. Overall, I cannot recommend Best Buy Milpitas for even the most basic audio install tasks. In hindsight I probably should have done the install myself. I naively assumed it would be easier if I took advantage of the "free installation" as part of buying my unit. But free install is not worth it when there's no quality control and key features don't work correctly. For anyone considering more complex car audio system work I highly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

SIP Review - Given the restrictions on retail capacity, I understand that adapting to the changes probably affected their business greatly. That being said, this review is for their online order/in store pick up. The convenience of buying items online and seeing what's in stock was a bonus, although my same day pickup item ended up actually taking 2 days to be ready. I came to do a curbside pickup for my purchase late Monday afternoon. After an hour of waiting in my car I asked an associate what the wait time would be - 2 hours! The line to pick up in store was just as bad, it barely moved. I understand how difficult this time may be for retail, but I also feel they could have better organized this process. Overall, they are not well equipped for BOPIS, so come right when they open or be ready to wait a couple of hours. Customer service was the best though! They handled the unkind customers and worked well under the holiday pressure. Be patient and be kind to the staff - they're out here working during the holidays mid pandemic. read more

Above and beyond service was definitely provided by 3 smart geeks: Brad, Chris and Duran! We had booked an appointment to have a new dashcam installed because the old one in the WAV had stopped working. The three took control of the situation and said they could test and fix the old back camera and screen in the mirror. So they did -- saving us the expense of new, refunded it with our return, and charging $75 for the fix and reattaching the wires and the back camera. Plus the extra kind service of showing us the WAV had a bluetooth mic for phone connection and speakers for music; and screwed in the hub cap of one wheel which the other tire garage had given up on. While there, they offered to drive the WAV inside their garage because mother was too hot inside in her wheelchair while parked outside. They offered free water and snacks! We are really grateful . Thank God for such nice guys going above and beyond their call of duty! read more

Came in for the trade-in program they have to part with my old iPhone 6. I was a bit confused as to where to go when I first came in but the first employee I asked directed me to go to the customer service area. The guy doing the online order pickups was the one to help me with my trade-in. He was very informative and it was a good experience overall. I do have to say their systems are kind of slow because we had to wait awhile for him to get into the system. However, I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind at all. I was able to trade my iphone for a gift card in a short amount of time and carry on with my day. The store itself seemed clean and the geek squad looked ready to help people. It's been a while since I had been into this Best Buy but I was greeted at the door by the manager asking what I was looking for today and he promptly sent me in the right direction. When I got there, the item that showed in stock online, was not on the shelf. A kind woman working in the computer department promptly came over to help me and found someone who knew where the item I wanted was stocked. The great customer service continue when I had to return something and there was an issue with it coming up in the system. Interacting with the manager again, he had a quick workaround for how to get me my refund and get me back on my way. While it took a little longer to get what I wanted then I had expected, the customer service was top of the line with every person I interacted with at this store and I did not mind waiting. With more and more things being bought online, in order to keep people in the stores, you have to have good customer service. I think a lot of the big box stores have forgotten this key factor. Thank you Best Buy for hiring people that make our in store experience just as easy and nice as our online experience. I will be back. read more

I bought 2 new iPad Air 11" this weekend for $1110 at the Dublin,CA location. I showed the sales rep my old iPads and iPens, and was told that my old iPens would work with the new iPads I had just bought, but they didn't. I brought the iPads back to closest Best Buy to me in Milpitas, CA, and told the manager (Megan) what happened, but she basically said that she would make a note of that and write them an email, but she refused to call the location to speak to the manager there. I expected her to help me to purchase 2 new iPen, and for the inconvenience, hopefully at a discount. But because of lack of customer service, I returned both brand new iPads. I would've expected after spending over $1100, I would have received better customer service and not to be lied to in the first place just to make a sale. The customer service from both stores, the Milpitas and Dublin locations was horrible. I don't like being lied to just to make the sale. Their sales rep needs to have more knowledge about their product so the don't give wrong information. Managers are suppose to be more helpful and go the extra mile. The Manager (Megan) at the Milpitas location Wasn't helpful at all. I even called their customer service line to file a complaint. This is why I'm giving Bestbuy this rating. read more

I was in need of a brand new tv and decided to make the drive out to Best Buy in order to take a peek at the smart tv options. Made my trip on 05.19.18 I wandered around without any help until a young gentleman approached me. I let him know that I was interested in the LG 49" 4K Smart tv and he immediately went to the back, grabbed my item, rang me up, and was helping me load it into my car in no time. You would think this is the end of the story but life always seems to test my patience. I opened the box, screwed in the little stands, and realized it would not fit properly on the designated location I had anticipated. I reboxed everything and drove back to Best Buy because I'm THAT impatient. After leaving the initial purchase over at the customer service department, I made my way back to the tv selection and tried to do some browsing. It took quite some time for any help but I'm sure glad it was through JOSE. I explained to him that I was looking for a 49" Samsung with 4K UHD smart set. He asked for a moment and returned with a list of tv options and pricing. Jose was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and organized with the whole process from start to finish. On top of his awesome personality, he brought it to my attention that my purchase was available as an Open-Box. This means the tv was either on display or previously purchased and was not now ready for resale- this route offers an added discount and can still be returned should there be any issues or change of heart towards the buy. Jose spends a huge amount of time on the sales floor and out in the back trying to locate said item. He eventually came back slightly out of breath but still very welcoming and courteous. I make the additional payment and Jose is right behind me trying to load the tv into my car. Easy peasy right?? WRONG!! The box wouldn't get into my car and after what seemed like forever, we managed to Tetris that sucker in only to find out my doors wouldn't close properly. UGH!!! Long story short, we ended up having to exchange this second purchase for another. Jose was amazing from start to finish. The smile on his face never faded no matter what headache was thrown our way, his customer service is genuinely LEGIT, and I would highly recommend anyone to this particular Best Buy simply thanks to him :D read more

DOG: A long time ago we came and couldn't bring in our dog but this time they said yes so I don't know if they changed their rules or what but I'm glad they did! The Best Buy in Santana Row on Winchester definitely allows dogs so maybe that's why this location now does too. PARKING: I like how the parking lot is huge so you never have to fight for parking like at some other locations. STORE: Security guard up front when you first walk in. Sale bins for DVD's. I love going to Best Buy. I normally get all my electronics and appliances here. At Best Buy. I have received a lot of good customer service along with some poor customer service, but mostly good. However, it is never something I really think about after I leave the store except for today. I left thinking, "oh wow, the most helpful/friendly Best Buy employee ever. Masoud, (I have no idea how to spell his name) works at the appliance section of Best Buy. He was the one that helped us buy a cook top the other day. Anyway, I just had to give him a shout out because he was just so helpful! He went above and beyond to help us out. I really liked one of the cooktops but I noticed that one of the knob was missing. Instead of doing nothing or telling me to just go order it online... which is the answer I normally receive, Masoud went around the store to find me a matching knob. But after awhile, we couldn't find one. He spent time looking online to help me find one and ordered one for me. After, he wrapped my cooktop and then carried it to the car. The things he did for us did not seem like he was doing it because it was his job. The feeling I actually got from him was that he just likes helping people and make sure they leave as happy customers. I mean, he could have just sold us the appliance and let us deal with the issues, but instead, he took it upon himself to take care of all that for us. He guide us through making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, if you are shopping for appliances at Best Buy, go look for Masoud. And if you are the management there, good job, because you got yourself a great employee! read more

I went to this Best Buy on 11/25 and purchased an HP laptop. It was out of stock and was going to be shipped to my home address. Delivery 11/29. I received an email at 4am on 11/28 saying good news your order will arrive today 11/28. From 11/28 to 11/30 the tracking on Ontrac said out for delivery today 11/28. I called Best Buy and was told my order was lost and they would send out a replacement and I would receive it 12/1. Now here it is 12/31 and I have not received the laptop or my refund. I was told I had to wait until 12/15 to request the refund. I wait. I call 12/15 and I am told I have to wait 15 business days for my refund. WTF??? I go back to the store, they now have the laptop in stock, but to get it they want me to purchase it again without yet receiving my original refund. Left without my money or a laptop. Now I'm on hold with primary services again and I am being told the refund wasn't even processed. Can we say beyond pissed off!!! read more

This place is terrible. Half the store is gone since their remodel. This simply means they have no inventory, no selection,and what little they do have on the shelves is in very limited quantities. I have spoken to 3 different associates about several different products that I used to be able to buy here and there answer was all the same. We can order it for you or you can shop for it online. Why have a store at all? I took the time to come here to browse real products. With such a limited selection and forced to shop online, I could have stayed home. I ordered an laptop via the app and it said ready for pick up in 1 hour. I went to the store about 15min earlier than the 1 hour mark. I was told the laptop was not ready yet. Fine, I should've waited. 15 min later, I walked up the pick up counter and was given the same answer. I asked them if they could expedite the pick up because I am here and 1 hour has passed. They blamed me that I should've waited until the ready for pick up email. They told me they can't expedite the pick up even there were a few same items on the shelves. Really? They have the product that I paid online in front of me, but they can't let me pick it up because they didn't process it yet and they can't process it now. Drove an hour to this location to pick up a TV that wasn't in stock at my local store. The online order had been changed to reflect the Milpitas store as the pickup location, and somehow the extended warranty hadn't been transferred. Me: "So it looks like the warranty didn't transfer to this new order. Could you please help with that?" Manager: "I can sell you a new warranty." Me: "But I already paid for the warranty. I don't want to pay twice." Manager: "Hmm I'm not sure why it didn't transfer. How about call our 800 number?" Me: "I've already spent an hour at my local store trying to get this TV and drove an hour to get here. I'd rather resolve it now."
