My computer crashed the other night right around 5:30 pm so I got on the old interweb and found that TechCare was open until 6pm. I called them at 5:50pm and spoke with Ray "I think he is the owner" anyway I told him what was going on and he said to come on down and that he would wait for me. When I arrived I noticed that they have a big Yelp banner on the window, I walked in and spoke with Ray about the problem and showed him a picture of what the error was, he was up front with me and explained that if the hard drive was bad that he would not be able to save my data. I told him to do his best to save my data. The next day he texted me with a quote and said that he would be able to fix it and save my data. I told him to fix it. About 3 hours later he texted me again and said to come on by and pick it up. Now when I arrived he didn't just give me my computer and send me on my way, he sat me down and explained that I have 3 different options to save my data just in case the hard drive or computer crashes in the future. He also said that if I'm not sure how to back up the hard drive or need help with anything to call him and he would walk me through it. When all was said and done, he charged me $299 out the door and my machine is working flawlessly!! Thank you Ray! You got a customer for life. read more

I accidentally spilled coffee on my MacBook keyboard and brought it to Ray right away. The repair was a bit pricey, but completely understandable given the amount of work involved. He had to remove the keyboard components and thoroughly clean the inside of my laptop. Thankfully, he was able to fix my MacBook. I took my 2018 MacBook Pro to the Apple Store because it wouldn't turn on. They told me there was nothing they could do without losing my data, and they don't offer data recovery services. So I brought my computer to TechCare, where Ray was very kind and took the time to explain what was wrong and walk me through my options. My mother's 2012 MacBook Air would no longer login so she wanted to get a backup of the data. After exhausting every step, I knew how to do, I realized getting the data would take tools and equipment I didn't have access to. Fortunately, I found TechCare through Yelp, and they were able to extract the data from the drive, and remove the hard drive so the machine could be recycled. Ray took the time to show me how the data was structured and explained how to find the photos and music within the nest of folders. I brought my computer in to get it fixed because the OS crashed. I couldn't create a restore disc or even boot up my computer. The technician said he would look into it and get back to me which he did promptly. He said it would take one day and my computer would be up and running. Note: Since they're claiming my review on Google Maps is fake, I added a screenshot of the INCOMING call I received from them when they told me they got the screen and to come over for them to replace it. I don't understand how this place is still in business. I had a green vertical line on my Google Pixel 8 that was intermittently showing up. Called them to ask for a quote and they said they can replace it for $249. I did ask on the phone if they were going to replace it with an OEM part and they said yes. When I went, the person took the phone, said come back in a couple hours, and when I did, before picking the phone up I asked again if they replaced it with an OEM part and he said yes again. When I picked the phone, I noticed at first it wasn't recognizing my fingerprint, and then I noticed the selfie camera was very obviously misaligned and pictures taken with it had a black blur because of that. When I tried to enter my password there were phantom and double taps without me even touching the screen, and the screen itself was nowhere as bright as my original screen even in direct sunlight and maximum brightness setting. The same person who literally less than five minutes prior told me they used an OEM part was telling me he wasn't sure if it was OEM! Then, he showed me the box of the screen they used and it clearly stated Aftermarket No Fingerprint Sensor (attached a photo of the box with this review, he did try to hide it from me too but I took it)! Now, instead of a screen with a minor intermittent cosmetic issue I ended up with a broken selfie camera and no fingerprint sensor. He just nonchalantly stated "Take it to someone else"! To add insult to injury, when I took it to an actual Google authorized place, they told me the green line issue was a known one and covered under Google extended warranty but they won't be able to use that due to the botched repair, but that the actual repair cost with OEM parts and labor was pretty much the same as this place (if I become a member), except with legit components this time! I ended up paying out of pocket and I'm writing this review now on the repaired screen to warn others from ever doing business with this company. read more

Shady practices. Give him my laptop say he will open and let me know. Call me later to come get laptop say it already fix. I thought suppose to get a quotes before u start work not fix it then charge after. Putting me into a corner where i have to pay no matter what as laptop is used for work and very important. My daughter's Dell laptop had water damage.
