1. They do not use genuine Apple parts as claimed. The replaced display is really dim, has a green hue, and flickers as compared to genuine Apple screen. 2. True Tone is not available with their after-market screen. They did not tell me this beforehand. 3. The repair person, Alex, threatened me multiple times to take away my computer while I expressed dissatisfaction with the new screen. In addition, he made me feel physically endangered while I deliver and pickup my computer at his home office. He loves to brag about his experience and gaslight customers when his work does not follow through. His ego is too big for the quality of work he does. As we can see in the other comments, he likes to threaten his customer, such as suing them for leaving a bad review. 4. In the end he put back my old broken screen without my permission, and refused to refund me the full amount. read more

My 2019 Macbook Pro died and would not power on, display was off. Apple offered a flat rate fee of $700 to repair the laptop but it would mean loosing the data 100% as repair involved swapping out logic board along with HDD. If I could give this place a zero I would. Complete rip off. I took my older macbook to be repaired and save my files. The guy says it need a new battery and some system upgrades $200. i approve the work and paid for the repairs. I take it home and i cant open anything, keeps spinning. They said to bring it back. now apparently it needs a new hard drive and some other Bs.I approve it again due to my important files on the hard drive $400. I didnt mind paying as I was trying to save things on there. When I pick up my computer, the guy tells me oh we couldn't save your files. Send it to the 3rd party company and they may fix it. WTF! I brought in my MacBook Pro for a Factory reset. My laptop was giving me some issues when trying to start it up. Not sure why. I don't use it as much as I will like but it can be an inconvenience whenever I do need to use it. I called and asked for a quote for battery replacement and factory reset. I have used MacFixed on two different occasions. The first time was to fix an iMac that was not starting up, it was just displaying vertical gray bars. I was a bit thrown off when I was directed to a residential area, but I was greeted by someone in a MacFixed shirt and that alone calmed me down. (I guess I'm the kind of guy who would help Ted Bundy load a couch into his van if he was wearing a Couchmovers shirt). Anyway, I know that people in actual shops are likely to have quotas to reach or bosses instructing them to upsell and rent to pay and all that nonsense, so I'm cool with the whole home office approach. I only wished they had asked me if I accept cookies. Get it? Anyway, my 11" Macbook Air was warning me that my battery was failing, both with an actual warning and by unexpectedly shutting off during my film at 30%. It ruined my film watching experience. Now I won't know what happened once the pizza guy got there and the girls didn't have enough money to pay. *kicks a sock* Anyway, I replaced my battery with a Chinese one online... and I think it gave my computer Covid. Instead of waiting one day for it to disappear like a miracle, I put it yet another battery and then my trackpad wouldn't work properly. It moved, but would no longer "click" and wouldn't drag or drop. Now, maybe you did I what I did- I went to MacForums, MacWorld, MacHelp, even MacDonald's because I was getting hungry after all that research. I rebooted things, and pressed magical buttons, and turned it on and off (gee, thanks), and unscrewed and screwed those tiny screws so many times my fingers have a six pack. Despite people online having the same problem as me (I mean, other than addiction to fast food and "computer" films), I couldn't solve my problem. So, a diagnostic charge was a no-brainer, knowing I could use that fee toward an actual repair OR I would at least know that I was too cheap to get it fixed. It's kinda like a vet bill. Do you pay all the money to get it fixed or do you just tell your kids your computer ran away? I was charged an hour labor and everything is fine now. My 2017 MacBook Pro had a swollen battery. It swelled so much it actually warped the frame of the computer. After reading more about swollen batteries I realized that this needed to be fixed immediately. The longer you use it the more it swells and the more potential damage is done to your computer. It's my only computer and I'm using it constantly so I really wanted it done quickly and did not want to leave it overnight. I called a few places and MacFixed quoted a good price, about $50 dollars less than some of their competitors. They said they could see me immediately and most likely be able to fix it within a couple hours. When I got there I was greeted by Renee who honestly could not be any better at her job. She was kind, had positive energy and was also very helpful and took the time to answer my questions without making me feel rushed or like I was wasting her time. Customer service like this means a lot to me. It shows me they value me as a customer when treated like this. I dropped my MacBook off, did a little bit of shopping and within about 2 1/2 to 3 hours I got a call from Renee saying it would be ready in half and hour. This was exactly in the timeframe they gave me. When I came to pick it up once again Renee answered all my questions and did so with a great attitude. My MacBook looked brand new. They not only replaced the battery cleaned and dusted my MacBook leaving looking almost brand new. I got it home and it's working perfectly. First off, Alex and Renee have been very responsive to my emails and phone calls, and their service is prompt, which I greatly appreciate. However, the truth is that my computer was never fixed. The issue that I had paid to have resolved started occurring again immediately after I received my computer back (which I had reported back to Alex via email), and while he offered a suggestion that made my computer still very annoying but usable enough that I didn't prioritize following up any further due to some personal issues, the problem continued getting worse and the computer is now basically unusable. Alex called me after I finally had time to address the issue and reach out to him via email, but he was firm and ungracious in stating that I was outside the warranty window of my repair, despite my repeated insistence that he never really actually fixed my computer in the first place, and did not offer any other help. Look, I completely understand that there are warranties for repairs to prevent idiots from doing stupid things to break their computer again, but there should be exceptions if the computer was never satisfactorily fixed in the first place, and especially if I was not able to physically bring the computer back within the warranty period. Please be aware that if your Mac is basically in a vintage or obsolete status like my iMac that "YMMV" for any repair. But go with someone who stands behind their repairs and will listen to their customers to prove it. read more
