We initially had a disappointing experience with Best Buy when our new tv was delivered damaged. However, Rosie from Best Buy Gilbert not only worked hard to rectify the situation, she exceeded my expectations while doing so. There are times when things go awry in any business, and the way a company responds when things don't go as planned is the true measure of a company's commitment to customer service. *2 Stars for the Geek squad guy answering the phone over all the other departments after 4 phone calls and him picking up immediately. Cheers Over 20 minutes over waiting for curbside delivery, I was the only car here for about 15 minutes and now there's 5 of us & no one has been helped. They also aren't answering their phones, I get it I could walk in and just grab my order etc, but I'm not risking others health concerns over Covid for me to walk in, but their own curbside delivery says 5-10 minutes, I could understand 20 if it was packed, but there's less people in the store because of Covid, the phones aren't even being answered. I think the status of a store is the caliber of the people they hire. Ryan who is a current employee at this location was a HUGE help in the whole process. From when I first arrived to even staying passed closing to help me, he was there from start to finish. I had a laptop that was not functioning properly and had some other troubles so he helped connect me and explain the process necessary that needed to take place. My camera recently got it's lens broken to he walked me through what was currently in stock, the different lens quality and price points. He was so efficient that 5-10 minutes passed closing, I walked out with a new laptop and a brand new camera. It's a challenge for me to give a store 5 stars just because there is always room for improvement, but Ryan really stepped above and beyond to give me a great experience and help me with what I needed. read more

I am not a big fan of BB, but once in a while there are prices that seem to be better than Costco and Apple on Apple products. Honestly the only items I buy at BB are price based or convenience. For example, bought a small fridge for my son's dorm room; as Costco and Sam's didn't have one in that size. So after about 2 years, my AirPods wouldn't hold a charge. Cosmetically in perfect condition, but would only work for 15 min at a time. Luckily I found that BB will take them in a trade in for new ones. With the AirPods Pro on sale and $30 for trade in value; I made the trip. Took a while to get some help, but one guy finally became available: - Had no clue that BB takes AirPods in trade. - Had no clue how to process the transaction - Had me show that they were paired to my phone and then made me unpair them. (Not sure what this proves, ownership?) - Called a "mgr" to help him with the process. Finally after WAY to much time wasted on this, comes back and tells me that the trade in is worth $18. Huh? Online it was $30 value. He tells me its because there is some dirt inside the case. I proceed to tell him : You mean this smidge I can wipe off with a napkin or my finger. He then tells me to go home clean them and come back or take the $18. Well I proceeded to walk out and go to different store and had the transaction done in 5 minutes. I needed it delivered to our building but fine will go drive to the mall and pick it up. Get there I only get one. The other one was going to be delivered on Monday. I asked for the others one since I was here nope can't get it. I'm not Sunday get a call from some BS delivery service trying to deliver the laptop. The business is closed. And he wants to leave it on the street by the door. I said no. I said I am 10 minutes away way at a restaurant. Still wouldn't deliver. Now the laptop was sent back. Best it refused to redeliver the product as it is their fault as the delivery was to be done on Monday when we are open. Horrible customer service. I will. Public service announce-I bought a 65 inch TV. In fact I bought a couple of them at Best Buy-the last two that I bought at Best Buy, No problem, I pick them up they help me load it in the car. I brought them home. This time to pick it up and there is a guy that works there named Dennis. He literally said, " it is not going to fit t in your car without laying it down and I can't help you load it up-I said they've helped me every other time and he said they're not supposed to-and by the way, after I finagled it-it actually did fit on its side and I didn't have to lay it down-I called his bluff. I didn't think he'd actually bring it out to the car and watch me struggle to lift at 65 inch TV into the car but he literally watched me take it off the cart and said "have a good day", and walked away. Whatever happened to Customer Service people do anything and make an excuse to not have to work. This guy really should be reprimanded. I wanted to buy a new laptop computer, so I went to Best Buy in San Tan Shopping center in Gilbert. I researched what I wanted and found it at Staples and Best Buy, but Staples was out of stock. My Best Buy salesman, Matthew, showed me several laptops, but I already knew what I wanted. When showing it to me I asked about switching off "S Mode." He said that switching out of S mode in Windows 11 would void my warranty. But he had other machines, priced higher, that would not void the warranty. This sounded fishy so when I got home, I checked the Best Buy web Site and they specifically said that DOES NOT void the warranty, I think this was a cheap trick/tactic used by the salesman to upsell me to a more expensive laptop. I didn't go for it. I also asked if they would do a price match. They said yes with some stores, so I showed them the Staples ad and it was $100 below Best Buy. So, the manager had to get involved. He said, "The System" won't allow a reduction since the price was already the lowest they could do. So much for "Price Match." I asked about a trade in of my old laptop. Which I had with me. I had checked online at Best Buy for the trade-in price and with the details (7th Gen Intel i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Dell laptop) and the web price was $30. However, at the store they said the trade-in was $15 and they couldn't go any higher. Not a big deal, but a disappointment after they wouldn't do the price match. Normally, I would have left at that point but I needed a laptop since I had erased all my personal data from the old unit. On top of that, when I first got to the store, I was met by a Best Buy person standing at the front counter. He asked what he could do for me, I told him I wanted to buy a new laptop. "Ok, what's wrong with the one you have in your hand?" he asked. Then he tells me to follow him over to a cash register. I thought he had to tag or somehow authorize that I had carried the old unit in. Instead he started to try to sell me the "Best Buy TOTAL" membership program for a discounted $149.99 (down from $179.99). Pretty hard sell tactics but I kept saying "NO" that I didn't need all the features of the membership. He gave up rather rudely when he realized I wasn't there to buy a membership and just walked away! This store seems to have switched their approach to customer service. I don't plan to go back to Best Buy for anything moving forward given how they tried the heavy sales and basic bait and switch move. read more

I bought a MacBook Air on the Best Buy site. When it arrived it came with anti virus protection but needed to update the software prior to download. I upgraded the software and then the laptop wouldn't turn on. I took it to Apple only to find out there was an electrical problem with it. I walked into Best Buy to return or exchange. The Geek Quad was super nice and informative. Sadly I only had a few choices since the laptop I purchased was refurbished. The employees took their time with me, compared pricing, storage, etc, of other MacBooks they had on site. They even looked on their site for a comparable model. My daughter wants an Apple Mac Book Pro for Christmas. I hate Apple! Always have! But I have been watching pricing on the item she wants and found it for $1199 on Sunday Dec 1. I chatted with Best Buy on line Chat and they said price was goo til the 6th. I said great I will go to the store and pick it up. Today (Dec 3) I went on line to see if still in stock at store, and noticed price was $300 more. WTF? So I contacted chat. I was assured the 1199 price was good til 8th now. I ordered a freezer online on Wednesday to be picked at the store in Gilbert, Az. The confirmation email said that we could pick it up on Sunday. We needed to wait until we received an email stating that our freezer was ready to be picked up. No updates on Sunday so I called customer service. The guy on the phone was very hard to understand but basically he told us that our order would be ready at the store. So we drove there. So we drove 30 minutes to the store, stand in line only to find out our order was not ready. As it turned out Best Buy did not even have a freezer in stock. They offered to ship it to us in two weeks. WTH!!!! We declined! She refunded us. What a messed up system. The CSR was very nice. I would hate her job! What fucked up company! Since we do not print a lot it took awhile before we needed to replace the cartridges. We opened the cartridges and placed them in the printer and it didn't work. Purchased a "discounted" tv a this location and due to its size and them not having a box for it i had to have them ship it. After waiting a week to get it delivered, I recieved it broken by their delivery team. Called customer service and they told me to return it to the store and give me a new one because they broke it. I ensured with customer service that they had the tv and i wasnt driving 2 hours for no reason. I get to the store and speak with Sophia the store manager and she was very rude about the situation and ended up trying to offer me a lower grade tv for the same price. Sophia has no respect for her customers, couldnt apoligize for the situation and actually ended up getting "to busy" and having someone else tell me the bad news. I got refunded for the broken tv and will never be buying from this location ever again due to Sophias lack of customer service and disrespect. I paid the Geek Squad One Hundred Bucks to transfer the data from one laptop to another.I was mainly concerned about keeping my photos.When I tried to find my photos on the new computer they weren't there.Not under "Photos","Documents" or anywhere that I searched.I took the laptop back in to the Geek Squad.Their Tech was also unable to locate my photos.He gave up and then gave me a couple of suggestions on where I might locate them.If not I was advised to keep searching until I find them.That they are somewhere in there. This is unacceptable! This review is specific to Geek Squad, although it's also fitting for the store itself as I have had a bad experience there several years ago. It started with an unusual computer error, freezing, blue screens, intermittent issue. I took it to "U Break We Fix" and they told me they don't have the tools to determine the error or fix it and I needed to go to a specialist. They did not charge me at all, despite doing everything they could for two days. In my desperation I went to Geek Squad. They charged me $100 or so just to take a look at it. They held onto my PC for a week or so. The customer service during this time was awful. I'd call for updates and such getting different answers each and every time. Eventually they call me and let me know I need a new GPU, which didn't make any sense for the issues I was having. I tried to argue that, but they kept giving me excuses as to why it was the GPU. Why go to a mechanic if you aren't going to listen to them? They charge me for a new GPU, which was around $400-500 or so. Then I believe they charged me to install it, this was back in June so not entirely sure on that. They call me and let me know it's ready early and I can pick it up. I drive down there and they say it's not ready and I have to wait FOUR hours in the store for them to finish it, all the way until the original expected pick up time. I tried asking questions as to how specifically the GPU is fixing it, the person I asked couldn't give me any answers and rather than saying he doesn't know he just repeated the question stuttering over his own words as if this was a college exam you're trying to finish with bullcrap. I take it home, it works for two weeks, which ironically is the exact time of the "warranty" to take it back and get it repaired for free. Then the issues start happening again that get progressively worse. I try to take it back and get it fixed again but they wanted to charge me the $100 again just to take a look at it. Out of money and hope, I let it sit on my desk till this year. Then I encounter a friend who is computer savvy. He immediately guessed the answer. All it took to fix it was a $25 stick of ram. The ram card had gone bad. I wasted $600 at a time when I was financially burdened investing my trust in a company that took advantage of my desperation to fix the one thing that I use to vent my problems. I used to consider Best Buy as just another big box store. Boy was I wrong! My washing machine decided to move on to greener pastures leaving my family literally high and dry!! I checked around for holiday specials at major competitors and online to no avail. My hunch to give Best Buy a chance paid off! I was able to score a brand new washing machine at nearly half off their competitors' price! That never happens to me! This store is terrible. I ordered a washing machine for my family in Gilbert. They scheduled delivery. I had to request off from work to receive it. They did not call or show. When I spoke to the store they told me it was a mix up and re-scheduled. I really could not afford to miss work again but had no choice. Again no show. Third time I told them it needed to be a Saturday because I could not miss work. They made it between 7-12 and once again didn't show. They have cost me more money in salary than the value of the washer. They have absolutely zero concern for their customers time and no respect. It is beyond frustrating. I have never dealt with such a disorganized, uncaring, and unprofessional company. I'll never purchase anything from them again. read more
