I cannot say enough good things about Bespoke Moving. Sergei and his team were very punctual, moved incredibly quickly, and disassembled and reassembled all of our large furniture with care. We were moving a few miles away to a larger home and they worked very hard. We bought them lunch so save for that 20 minute break, they never stopped. Large beds, couches, everything was put where it was meant to be. The work for the price was well worth it, we were so grateful to them for helping us through a stressful weekend! Had a relatively small move and this was a pretty dissappointing experience. They ran out of furniture wrap so my mattress was only half wrapped picking up dirt and stains. Some of the wooden furniture sustained damage/scratches during the move and I also caught one of the helpers purposely milking the clock multiple times. At the end of the day they got the job done but there's many other better options in this area for moving. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. After having Bespoke Moving DC scheduled to move us for a couple weeks now, today they canceled on us - and we move tomorrow! We did not even get a phone call. We got a text saying they can't move us tomorrow (but they will try to see what they can do). What does that even mean? Moving is so stressful as it is. When I thought things couldn't get more hectic and annoying, Bespoke Movers were here to prove me wrong. Their excuse was their truck broke down. Is there no backup truck or a plan to rent another truck for a client moving the next day?? This company is unreliable and unprofessional. read more

Excellent movers. They were very honest and nice. Two guys showed up to move my studio from VA to MD. The price was very decent and they worked hard and treated my things with care. One IKEA piece fell a part and the mover immediately told me what had happened. It was one of those pieces that's held together with pegs so I figured it would happen. He kept all the pegs and I was able to easily reassemble it in the new place. Make sure to ask for all extra charges upfront. I knew that since I was moving to a 4th floor walk up there must be an extra charge so I asked. It was very reasonable. I would def hire them again. They told me upfront that there was an arrival fee equal to one hour and a 3 hour minimum. read more

Used this company in August of 2017. Other than some spotty text communication and delays in their arrival, I had a great experience performance wise. They were able to move our antique furniture into our townhome. Which is impressive because two other friends could make it up the stairs due to tight and odd angles. read more

My wife and I hired Bespoke Moving to move us from one side of Woodbridge to the other. Prior to our moving date, the owner estimated that it would take 3 guys with a 26-foot truck 3-5 hours to complete the move. We told him we had a 3 bedroom townhome with a 4th basement bedroom being used for storage that was completely full. I questioned his estimate of both the time and the size of the truck, but he assured us it would be fine. Moving day comes and his 3 employees took 11 hours to move 90% of our home. I called the owner toward the end of the move to ask if would honor his original estimate, and even offered to pay more than what he had speculated, but he insisted on receiving the full payment for 11 hours. At one point, when I persisted in pointing out that this was his industry, and his "experienced" estimate was less than half the time it took to complete the service, and the truck wasn't big enough to move everything, he accused me of trying to "rip HIM off"...lol. Now, I don't have much experience with the moving industry, other than having been a recipient of services a couple times in my life, but even I knew 3 guys and a 26-foot truck weren't going to get this done in 3-5 hours...but I relied on his estimate anyways. One other issue, his truck leaked hydraulic fluid in 3 places on our brand-new driveway, so far appearing to have stained it. Since our move I've had two friends ask about our experience, each moving soon with much larger homes than ours, and needless to say I did not refer either to Bespoke Moving, referring each friend's $2,500 move to another company. While the owner's fixation on the smaller picture lacked any semblance of customer service, I did absolutely like his staff, and found them to be hard working and trustworthy. It was their hard work alone that earned the company's 3 stars from us. read more

I'm not one to write reviews often, but it's gotten to the point that I can't let this experience slide. There is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to communication with Bespoke. On my roommate and I's moving day, everything went perfectly until the expected time of Bespoke's arrival. The mover (it is important to emphasize there was only one) and driver arrived late after the originally discussed time frame with no notice from Bespoke. We only found out they were still coming once my roommate called to check in. Once they arrived the mover came up to our apartment to look over what there was to move and was clearly distressed. He then informed us that it would just be him working because the driver had back problems and couldn't help. He attempted to contact another mover to come help him, and was not able to reach him. He then cancelled the job on the spot, leaving us to scramble and make new last minute plans for our move. We had to be out of the apartment by the next day and it was extremely frustrating to be put in that position. I understand that things happen, but it would have been a simple phone call to cancel earlier in the day or even the week that would have solved this easily so we had proper time to make new plans. It was clear that the requirements of our two bedroom apartment move were not shared with the mover before his arrival, which was as unfair to him as it was to us. Bespoke only apologized once my roommate posted a negative review sharing our experience, and they did so with the intention of having her delete the review. They have called and texted her multiple times essentially trying to buy her off and uphold their reputation online. It makes me wonder how many other negative reviews have been bought off in the past. Please do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to work with a legitimate moving company! It's not worth the risk of having to do all the work yourself anyway when they cancel the day of. read more

Sergei brought a great 3 man team to move us. We moved a few doors away; they very efficiently moved all our furniture and goods from old to new place. Quickly and efficiently. These guys were amazing. Courteous, fast, super accommodating and all my stuff was moved as if it was theirs. They were super careful with all my fragile items - including the flatscreen and furniture. Their rates are really great too. I would highly recommend them. They had a giant truck with everything needed to move me. And, I booked them last minute because the movers I initially booked cancelled on me. We used BeSpoke a couple of years ago for a move and it went really well so we hired them again last week but unfortunately didn't have the same experience. As I unpack my new house I find myself getting more and more frustrated. The movers basically put heavy boxes that they didn't want to carry up, on the lower level and hid them under other boxes. For example boxes labeled "upstairs master bedroom" were put in the kitchen and stacked on top were boxes labeled "kitchen." I was there while they were unloadingvcffffcnopAhk everything from the truck as well, so as things were brought in I would say upstairs downstairs lor basement. Now we are stuck moving boxes up, that I paid someone 15k to do for me!!! I'm furious! The other issue was, they just threw every thing into a room with no rhyme or reason and piled all the boxes at the entry way of the doors making it tough to walk into a room. We were recently 'blessed' with moving from Arlington to Atlanta but without a big budget. I found Bespoke on Craigslist and called and spoke to Sergei. He quoted me a fair price to turnkey move our big 2 BR apt in Shirlington to a house in Atlanta. To be sure he hadn't underbid, he came to our apt a week before to scope out the work. He arrived on time with two strong helpers and they loaded their 28' truck in about 5 hours. Sergei then left for Atlanta and arrived at our home at noon as promised. He and 3 local laborers unloaded in a few hours. He didn't ask for any payment until he was finished, then I paid him by PayPal. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sergei and Bespoke for their efficient and professional service. They really made our potentially difficult move trouble-free. read more

7/28/17: BEWARE!! Completely left us out to dry. Even confirmed the evening prior that they would be showing up at 10am, no shows. During our initial conversation, even had the audacity to put down other movers suggesting that they would not show up and you get what you pay for. Now I'm left scrambling with a pregnant wife, an empty truck and no help.. Judging by other reviews, this isnt the first time. AVOID AVOID AVOID. 10/23/17 Update: Owner calls me over the weekend to apologize and offer money, 90 days after the fact I might add. I disregard, because it was insane. This morning, HE CALLS MY EMPLOYER ASKING FOR ME, totally unprofessional and inappropriate. I call him back, he apologizes, citing he had a mover stand him up and he was tired and couldn't help that day. He asks if there's anything we can work out for me to take down this review, unreal. This is not a personal matter, this is business. As a business you are expected to deliver on the services you offer and promise. Hired Bespoke for two moves. One into storage and one from storage, to apt. to new home. Both crews worked really hard and diligently. Sergei (owner) was very professional and personally handled second move. I really appreciated all their efforts, considering how many flights of stairs we had to climb. They also offer packing tape and blankets at no extra charge. Prices were reasonable and competitive, but most important were upfront, so no surprises when paying. Would hire them again. read more

First of all, movers were almost a full hour late on a move I booked more than a week in advance. For a two bedroom apartment with a lot of stuff (and me helping) it took them 8 hours to move my stuff 5 miles. I have never seen such slow movers. One movers was a fluent English speaker and the other mover was a Russian speaker who spoke almost no English. Comedy of errors watching them miscommunicate trying to move furniture. And the damage they did to both my landlords house and to my belongings was unforgivable. Scratched off drywall, scratched wood and paint off of two doors and broke one framed picture. Of my belongings, they damaged a 5 month old premium leather sectional couch (torn leather), broke a tanning bed and scraped over the suede lining of the Temper Pedic bed box spring. They also broke a wall mirror and didn't tell me about it until I noticed it was missing the next day while unpacking. The owner (Sergi) was very argumentative about my grievances. He claimed I was partially at fault because I had to assist the communication challenged movers (who had already done the damage on the couch). The discount he offered for my troubles was NOT nearly enough. Sergi said: "you have too much heavy stuff, you should respect job movers do"....really Sergi?? Moving is your job sir. This move should have taken no more than 5 hours. Get movers who are a little more physically able to move stuff. That's their job. And I have never seen this much damage done to my personal belongings from a "professional moving company". To top it off, they left several things at my old apartment. And tried to leave without setting up the things they took about at the old residence. Even after they left I had to set up the sectional couch again because they did not do it correctly. In my opinion, Sergi is not a very forthcoming and honest business man. His customer service skills are severely lacking. Be warned. Go with a more reputable company. I wish I have two more arms so I could give Bespoke Moving 4 thumbs down!! read more

I booked my move with Bespoke Moving one month prior to my move date 10/13/17. The booking was confirmed through email with Sergei and then I called later that day to verbally confirm. In my initial email to Bespoke I stressed the start time for 9am b/c where I was moving from I only had a 3 hr time slot to use the loading dock. Sergei indicated being on time at 9am would not be a problem. I asked if he would confirm the appointment before the move date and he said that I would get a confirmation. By 4pm the day before my move I had heard from Bespoke. I called and received VM. I did receive a call back an hour or so later but it was a really bad connection but I did manage to confirm the 9am start time which Sergei said they would be there. MOVE DAY: A few minutes before 9 am I receive a call. I was expecting the call to say they were here but no such luck. The person introduced himself as Christopher and he would be my mover today. Christopher also told me he was having truck problems and will be an hour late. But not to worry b/c he would give me a discount. Did I think he would fix his truck and get to my place in an hour???? NO. I was correct. Approx. 10:20 am I received a text msg saying he is now on his way to my location. He and Petro finally arrived at 11:05 am. Again I only have the loading dock to 12 pm and the tenant booked for the next 3 hr slot for the loading dock moving truck was already there (wish I'd hired them). During the time I was waiting for the movers to show up I had moved EVERYTHING but the couch to the loading dock by myself. I was still recovering from knee surgery hence the reason I booked movers for the job in the first place. Had I not moved anything the movers would not have gotten everything packed in the truck in the 50 mins. that were left in my time slot for the loading dock and then I would have really been screwed and not been able to move. I later find out from Christopher that he is not from Bespoke, but that he just started his own moving company VKH Movers. Hearing that made me angry b/c all my research looking for a dependable moving company was wasted time. Had I known that Bespoke sub-contracts out its jobs I would have never hired them. Oh and the discount I got....wait for it.....$20! On top of that Christopher wanted me to write the review for his company immediately, I told him I would write a review he said "no lets do it now and I will help you write it" Seriously, I guess he thought the $20 discount he gave me deserved raging reviews! read more

My roommate and I reached out to Bespoke to help us move from a two bedroom to a three bedroom in the same complex. They gave us a pretty good rate. However, when it came to the day of moving it was a pretty bad experience. They gave us a two hour time frame of when they would come, and also had a three hour minimum. It was nearing the end of the two hour time frame and they hadn't showed up yet, so I had to call them and then they had to call the driver. When they arrived, the movers didn't seem to know any of the information that I sent beforehand (on the second floor, what kind of furniture, no elevator, etc...) One mover came out and also said that because the driver (who I'm assuming would have also been a mover) had some health/back problems, it would only be the one guy. He came up and looked at our apartment and the furniture to move (keep in mind, we had already moved most of the little things and had just kept the big furniture for the movers) and said he could not do it. He tried calling other people, and he kept apologizing, and I really think he had no idea what he was coming into, but they ended up not being able to do anything. We didn't have to pay for anything, but it was a huge inconvenience because we had to scramble to create a backup plan because we had to be out of our apartment by the end of the next day. Thankfully we were able to run to Home Depot and rent a van, and have our amazing boyfriends move everything themselves. But I would definitely not recommend them. Go with a bigger company for a more reliable service. read more
