I was between a 4 and 5 on this. The food is very healthy and excellent. I have only ever ordered delivery, and every time delivery has been quicker than average. The food is very health and low glycemic index. I have some minor blood sugar issues so the tons of veggies and no simple carbs is great - this has become one of my go-to "emergency" place - aka I waited too long to eat, I'm starving, I can't think straight to make good decisions, and need something nutritious fast. The chicken is AMAZING - seriously I didn't know you could make chicken this good - but as some other reviewers have commented, there is less that I'd prefer, seems like not quite enough, I always have to work a little to hard to make sure there's enough chicken left to spread out over every bite. I went to Denver for vacation and this place is the place I keep thinking about and wish I had one where I live. First love that every thing is gluten free and dairy free so I was already excited to have lunch there. But I was so shocked at how good it was. Simple but done right. I'm all in on Ben's. I have this problem where when I go to order food it's always expensive and it's always unhealthy. On the recent occasions when I have ordered, this place has been the choice because they are filling, healthy meals and for the quality of food I'd call it affordable. I get a couple mixed chicken bowls with extra smoked chicken to add in. and I enjoy them for a few meals. I also love the option to get a side of mixed veggies, simple. elegant. And the chickpea and potato side is fire. If I had notes, I would ask for more savory sides, more healthy deserts, and more smoothies. Just more! Weird experience here and definitely not ordering from this place again. The main issue is that they straight up are not honest about pickup times when you place an order. It gives you one window to make it seem like your food will be ready pretty fast, then once the order is already in and you've paid, suddenly it's a much longer wait. If they had just been upfront about that from the start i literally would have gone somewhere else. That alone is annoying, but what made it way worse was trying to get help after it was clear the order was not going how they said it would. There is basically no real way to contact them if there's an issue. Everything just sends you in circles and there's no actual person or direct way to get an answer, which is kind of insane for a place taking online orders. It just feels like the whole setup is built so they can waste your time and then make it impossible to do anything about it. Bad wait times are one thing, but having no actual communication and no accountability when your system is wrong is what really made this so frustrating. I've only ordered from this spot through DoorDash, multiple times LOL. The 5 stars are well deserved. They're typically my go to spot during late hours. The food is fresh, you can taste it. It reminds me of home cooked food. I also love that they're opened until late. Healthy food opened till late hours is a great business- since most of the places opened late are usually junk food. Service has always been incredibly fast. I love their chicken bowls, pork bowls, and wagyu, the smoothie, and the small portions they provide. I've actually bought multiple ones of the smaller portions for meal prepping when I'm lazy. With all of this being said, I need to make an in-person visit! I placed an order for pickup and it literally comes out of a ghost kitchen off the beaten path. I got a chicken bowl and the portions of rice and vegetables were quite large but like one small piece of tough chicken. The vegetables are the ones you can buy a large 5 pound bag of pre chopped frozen mush at Walmart for $1. This place was a hidden gem I just happened to stumble across on DoorDash. I normally don't review a DoorDash order but I had to for this place. Sorry for the review without pictures but the food was so good I forgot to take any. I ordered the chicken mixed bowl with Ben's ranch sauce, I was not expecting much I just thought it was going to be a basic health food bowl. To my surprise the flavor was amazing, the chicken was extremely tender and juicy and all the veggies were fresh and flavorful. I was also very shocked with the portions since it was extremely cheap for a healthy food place. This might be the best healthy "fast food" I've ever had. And super affordable! My husband loved his "hearty" pulled pork bowl and I had the chickpeas and potatoes garden bowl; both were incredible and had great seasoning and sauces. Very filling. WOW this is exactly what I've been waiting for!! Healthy, FRESH, relatively light but FULL of flavor. I love that everything is GF/DF. I was a bit bummed there was only 2oz of chicken in the regular bowl (my husband got extra and I would highly recommend getting extra bc it's so delicious) but the portion size of the bowl itself was perfect.
