Not fit for human consumption. This was the absolute worst breakfast food I have ever had. The scrambled eggs were cold, tasteless and runny, the baguette was so stale that even toasted it was hard to chew through, and the corned beef hash was black and inedible. I fed most of it to my dog and left hungry. When I asked for a refill on my tea so that at least I could enjoy a moment to appreciate the good weather on Beacon's Main Street for the $30 I had spent on breakfast, the waitress rudely asked me to leave because someone was waiting for the table. Not a pleasant Sunday morning! read more

I preface this review by saying I and my wife had have really satisfying experiences here in the past on the weekends-before 10:30am. Today we got there after 10, by which the inside was full and the outside benches were starting to be used. Ordered drinks-water and coffee with ice-which came on time as one would expect. We ordered our food and waited.....and waited. Our waitress never returned to our table after the drinks, and after almost an hour we asked inside about our food order-which was not apparently in the order system. The waitress that runs things there-our waitress was someone less experienced-took over to repair the problem and offered to make our order on the house. After I initially said no, my wife said Scr#w it, lets get it to go. The problem was, I told the waitress what I remembered-not off the menu-and while I got my Fontina baguette, when I said my wife ordered the avocado and toast, that is what we got-without the scrambled egg and additional things, and I didn't get the side dish chips I first ordered with the first waitress. Yeah I should have asked to look at a menu again to make sure what I ordered what was originally what we ordered from the menu- and not assuming the waitress would know what is offered and described on the menu. Look, this place has been really good in past times, and this was one episode- but after my wife complained to the waitress that was not our waitress, and she said, "I had been out here a half dozen times-if you had said something to me before what's going on".......that seems like you are saying "you were part of the problem". While maybe in analysis that is right, you don't address that in customer repair. Like I said, I liked it before, and I will definitely try it agiain-but beware after 10!!! read more

My first visit to Beacon. We got grits with cheese, scone and beet cured lox. Everything was delicious. We loved the music and the vibe, very laid back and comfortable. We loved their no wifi sign. I enjoyed the free cookie, and didn't give any to my sister. I'm lying, she got her own. And it was awesome! read more

I really wanted to love this place because I love bread so much and have read awesome things about it! On the bright side, it's a nice easy-going spot on early Saturday mornings with tons of locals passing by and having small talk with the staff. The staff is definitely awesome! I ordered the waffles and fried chicken with coffee, which wasn't terrible, but left a little to be desired. I'll definitely give it another go soon. read more

Super adorable, cozy and tasty for soup/salad/sandwiches. Great for kids with an excellent buttery grilled cheese on brioche.

The service was good the prices were high I ordered the pastrami sandwich it hardly had any meat on it at all it came with a tablespoon of coleslaw in a plastic dish my girlfriend ordered a small orange juice approximately 10 oz for $5 that's crazy she also had the grilled cheese with mozzarella and tomato one thin piece of mozzarella cheese this Local Yocal won't be back read more

Love the breakfast here. Portions are great, food is delish. Wish I could eat here daily!

The Huevos Rancheros here are a nightmare. They cook 2 eggs and give it to you with salsa and bread. BREAD. Not even edible bread, like some wheat toast, but a straight-up roll, like you're eating at Subway. I tried eating the food off the bread, but it was so difficult to bite through that the food flew everywhere. 2 stars because the coffee is ok. read more

The food here is usually quite good however we have had to wait far too long for a cramped table One also gets the feeling that the place is not that sanitary. It feels a bit dirty and unkempt. Oh, and did I mention that it is pretty pricey for what you get. All in all not my first choice for breakfast in Beacon. Oh and after I posted this review I got a comment from someone representing the restaurant calling me a "cheap know it all". I guess I struck a nerve !! read more

Finally got to try Beacon Bread and it was awesome. The Bleu Boar was fantastic and comes highly recommended. In all we ordered 10 things and everyone was very happy. Very, very reasonable prices as well. Can't wait to try it again. read more

The breakfast was very good. Delicious fresh squeezed OJ with house made pancakes. If you're looking for something flavorful try the Huevos Rancheros with the special hot sauce. read more

Good people, nice environment. One of the only breakfast places in Beacon. Either this or Cold Springs Hudson Hills Cafe.

The bread is amazing. I get brioche bread for my own french toast (although I could have theirs - if I could find a seat!) and buns for my work lunch sandwiches. I love that they have roasted vegetables also. read more

Yummy grub and super sweet staff! They were so good to us. Definitely try their challah bread.

Local family-owned favorite, known for its breads, pancakes, and French toast. The coffee here is FANTASTIC. We had the ricotta cheese pancakes with fresh berries, topped with a drizzle of what tasted like sweetened creme fraiche and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Very tasty, indeed, although the pancakes were a bit more solid than I thought they'd be with ricotta in them. Bacon was crispy and not too salty. Service is friendly and frequent. Will be back. read more

Good Bread . Good Eggs . Beautiful BLT . Great Service.. Every time my son comes over on weekends he always asks to go here before he goes back home . read more

Great little spot in town. Quaint seating and decor. The menu is bread based, which everyone loves as far as I'm concerned. Had the blue boar grilled cheese which was amazing. Along with the French onion soup, that was great as well. Also walked out with handmade marmalade and handmade ketchup and other baked goods. Service was nice and fast. Can't wait to go back! read more

Had lunch there yesterday. I had the marinated eggplant and red pepper sandwich with Mozzarella on a baguette. To my surprise, the mozzarella home made. The bread was delicious. Everyone at my table was delighted with their lunch. I definitely recommend Beacon Bread. read more

I was tasked with finding excellent pancakes for a total food snob. The Beacon Bread Company delivered. Delightful, generous breakfast served by friendly staff. REAL maple syrup! A bit pricey, but worth it for the quality. Prepare for a little crowding, as it's a small place, but it's got a good vibe, so you don't mind. Take out a baguette with you when you go! Well done. read more

Went for lunch, had the Breakfast Burritos and my friend had the breakfast taco. Food was good but the service not so great. Waitress gave us our food and never came back to find out how we were doing or if we needed something else. If I go back it will be take out order. read more

I was really looking forward to enjoying breakfast here on a late Monday morning... But found this disappointing all around. Service was slow and bad, took a long time to get coffee, my wife's order came out about 5 minutes before mine, and when mine did come it was incomplete... No toasted baguette, which I thought would be the highlight. I ordered soft boiled eggs, which came out as hard boiled eggs, the turkey sausage was luke warm, and it took about 5 to 10 minutes to get the baguette. My wife's egg on a brioche was very uninspired with no care in the presentation. I would never return. read more

The best bread in the area. Fresh, crusty loaves, wide variety, handmade and all good. Great blackboard menu of sandwich specials for every palate. Extremely creative! Busy for breakfast and lunch since everything is made there, including the sausage for breakfast. Well worth a visit and a return. read more

The food was amazing although it did take over a half hour. However, I would only eat here again if I ordered it to go. I have never experienced such a miserable and unhappy staff. Between constantly giving people dirty looks and having people sitting at a unbussed table for 15 minutes and making them feel like an inconvenience for wanting to eat here. I have been working in restaurants my whole life and have never experienced anything like this. I don't know if they are not trained or just hate their own lives but they need to try and smile even if they are in the weeds. Or maybe move a little faster if you are busy so you can actually be productive. read more

We had omelettes here & food was really good. I especially enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice. Unfortunately service was really slow.

I just want to start off by saying I'm not a food snob, I'm pretty easy going when it comes to not so great experiences and I don't tend to leave negative reviews, but this was just not good at all. It was busy today and when we asked if we order at the counter or sit the waitress told us to sit but she was in the process of cleaning tables which is fine, it's busy, but now there are three waiters and we sat next to dirty dishes and sticky syrup mess for maybe 15 minutes; right after taking our order they cleaned up the old plates. The coffee tasted and smelled like burning rubber, and our food took about 30 mins to come out (again it was busy so fine,) but when it got to us it was luke warm like it had been sitting in the window for awhile. My tofu scramble just tasted like over seasoned black beans. It came to over $40 and was totally not worth it. We would definitely not go back. Thankfully Beacon has a lot more great restaurants on Main St that are worth the money or are even better and less expensive! read more

Really amazing place! Delicious and warm atmosphere with all the different types of fresh bread any carb-aholic could want. Their basic 2 egg breakfast is a solid standard, but with adding their house cured bacon you're rivaling any diner I've ever been to! Breakfast burrito is a healthy portion and they have a great mini-array of hot sauces (not just a typical Tabasco). A must try (if for the bacon and bread alone)! read more

Food was yummy but the service was not. They were rude. The fresh squeezed OJ and homemade ketchup were a nice treat. But even with the tasty food I don't think we will return because the servers had bad attitudes. read more

I was excited to bring my fiancé, father, brother and 2 girls here until our waitress was so RUDE! She had long black curly hair. Told us we were pain in the ass customers cause we moved from inside to an outside table and back when my daughter said she was too cold and wished she could add 20% to our bill and then laughed. After that me and my family felt extremely uncomfortable and wished we would have walked out. I will be telling everyone i know how much of a bitch that waitress is. Food was good but not all that. read more

This place has become a Saturday morning tradition for me and my mom after our pilates class. The breakfast is amazing - I always get the basic breakfast and it's hard to deviate since it's so delicious (although I'm pretty sure everything on the menu is wonderful). The grilled baguette is my favorite part! The staff is super friendly and you can tell that they really appreciate their customers. read more

We went with the intention to have a nice breakfast. I ordered the French toast and asked that it please be well done. When it came out it was not well done and had no egg in the inside of the bread. My husband went in and asked if we could order something else because it was all bread. After that the breakfast went downhill. We never could get a second cup of coffee until my husband got someone's attention. He asked for extra coffee and the check. They totally ignored us, we had to sit for 20 minutes for someone to finally say to us you pay inside. People around us were getting there check outside they refused to bring our check. The woman, (might have been the owner) started swearing and yelling at my husband. Inturn, he was yelling back. People around us told us that she had no right to have that behavior. They lost other customers and other people that were waiting for our table. read more

We had lunch here after hiking Mt. Beacon and the food was amazing! The vegan pancakes were lights-out. I definitely recommend visiting here and walking on main street. read more

Everything is wonderful, creative menu and nice staff. Breakfast burrito is super good, all homemade hot sauces.

BREAKFAST: Both times food was mediocre, service was pretty good. It was quite packed (good sign?), and almost reminded me of a crowded diner, in a way... I've only been twice, so I would definitely go back and give it another try. Maybe breakfast is not the time to go or maybe I just had bad luck. Experience was not awful, I just expected more for some reason. The owner is pleasant and has a bunch of local businesses which is a nice plus. read more

My boyfriend and I were visiting a friend in Beacon for the weekend when we randomly stopped in here for breakfast. Such a cute little neighborhood place. The service was quick, accommodating and friendly and the food was DELICIOUS. I loved my breakfast burrito and my boyfriend's French toast was incredible. If/when we're in the area, we'll be back. read more

The home made hot chocolate made my knees weak, I almost fell over when I took a sip. The ruben sandwhich is to die for. What a great little place, so glad I stumbled upon it and will be back!!! read more

So I went to Beacon bread company and had the Beacon of light.. As soon as I saw the name it was like falling in love again. The name itself had me at hello. Never in my life, have I had French toast like this. Buttery and smooth. The hash brown's left me speechless with every bite, yearning for more. In closing, I fell in lust for the bacon egg and cheese on a brioche. But the Beacon of light has shown me the way. read more

I really like dropping by here for the occasional weekday lunch. The service is as real as the food--meaning really real. It's not too crowded during the week, usually, and I can sit at the communal table with my computer--they don't have wi-fi (the sign says something like: No Wifi. Try Talking to Each Other.) but I can usually pick some up. Everything I've had has been quite good and fresh. The Greek omelette is a fave, with their house-made green hot sauce that's addictive. Also the toasted baguette (which, obvs, they make there). Have had the cheese danish and wish it were a little cheesier, but otherwise yummy. The breakfast burrito was very tasty and light--not a big heavy meal like you usually get when you order one of those. The French toast looks really good on neighboring tables--and a friend of mine says he buys their challah (holla!) to make his own French toast. The same owners have two other places locally--one of which is terrific--Angelina's in Cold Spring. I'm looking forward to trying Tito Santana Taqueria, too. read more

He best waffles that I've ever had! Hands down. A great place for breakfast and brunch!!! It tends to be busy, though, especially on the weekend. read more

This restaurant is one of the many reasons I love living in Beacon. As a vegan, breakfast options are often limited, if they exist at all at diners, etc. But BB Co has both tofu scramble and vegan pancakes. This might not sound like a big deal to omnivores, but to vegans, it's huge to be able to enjoy a delicious breakfast out with friends! It's a cute, cozy spot with a friendly staff and good energy all around. read more

We showed up for a conference at West Point and stayed with someone in the area. This place was at the top of her list and I totally see why. Great atmosphere, hard working, friendly, family-like staff, good food. It's a little cramped and loud during busy times (not enough to lower my rating though). My wife had to squeeze past a little girl standing in the aisle who didn't hear her say "excuse me." Her mother said something passive-aggressive like "some people don't know how to be polite." Sigh. Whatever. Don't be those people. Just go with the flow, enjoy the ambiance and the food, and have a wonderful time. We will definitely come again next time we are in the area. read more
