First time visiting Beacon and we were excited to try out this cute spot. We arrived before 2:00 and at 2:35 we were still waiting for our food. We asked our server to check on our food as the table next to us who sat down way after we did was served their order. He never came back. I got up to ask at the counter about our food and 4 people sprang into action. However after watching other tables be served their food and no one giving us an explanation or any type of response, we got up and left. Sad. read more

Love this place and the service too. Kate made us feel like family. BBC is the best in town- thank you!

Always have a great experience here. I would recommend The Beacon of Light- challah or brioche French toast with a scrambled egg and side of bacon. In my opinion one of the best places for breakfast! I'm appalled by some of the reviews on here. Upset because of no wifi??? Really? A screw in. Your take out? People-please! Just because you can hide behind the Internet is no reason to write such things. If there is a problem, speak up. They will fix it, immediately. Things happen. So come in, respect the establishment and the families that work there. read more

Best place in Beacon for breakfast.. waitstaff great - service great - owner great - love the rock music too !! Anyone who visits Beacon must eat here! Place always packed and they move tables quickly n read more

Very friendly and down to earth people. Food was delicious. I could tell a lot of loyal locals visited. I stopped in while my pet was being groomed across the street. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the homey vibe. read more

I've eaten sandwiches all over the country and this spot is a top top TOP spot in my opinion/stomach. I had a special hot cherry pepper chicken sandwich and truly think if I could have one meal before I die, it would be this ... yea .. that good !! Check it out. read more

I come to this restaurant often when I'm visiting Beacon. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The homemade bread is to die for. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. read more

Diner-style spot. Sandwiches are the highlight. I suggest getting the Bleu Boar sandwich: pulled pork, bleu cheese, and a little strawberry chipotle on your choice of warm, toasted bread (I recommend flax/sesame). The bread here is fresh and very good. read more

It was a nice little place. The street was real cute. Our waitress was great. The food was pretty good. My husband had a Reuben and it was delicious. read more

This place is so hit or miss, much more miss now than it used to be. I live in town and used to go on a bi weekly basis for a brunch date with my boyfriend. We went back after not going for a few months and found that they significantly raised their prices and had the worst meal we have ever had there. The food was gross, cooked wrong and flavorless, we paid a lot of money for it so we won't be back. The service is also a complete joke, it takes forever to get menus, drinks and food. The waitress that's always there is rude and unprofessional. It's sad to see the reviews on here with the owner being aggressive and swearing at customers. I work in the service industry and I know dealing with people can be a bit stressful but that makes me not want to spend my money at any of the other restaurants in town that he owns. I'm giving it two stars because the baked goods are okay and I like that they make the ketchup and hot sauce in house. read more

Solid atmosphere - right in the heart of beacon Main Street . Breakfast is just ok . My meal came out with cold potatoes and a mediocre omelette . Can for sure find better breakfast spots . Although, the food is still not too bad - you can get away with finding a few good things on the menu . read more

Loved the food, loved the atmoshphere. 1 waitress was extremely rude while the other was pleasant. The resaon that I gave three stars is because they do not offer almond milk, only soy and cow.... PLEASE add almond milk for those who cannot drink cow milk and avoid soy. Thanks! read more

Incredible. Had cinnamon quinoa which looked like saw dust but was absolutely incredible. Brioche rolls with home-made strawberry cream cheese and lemon glazed blueberry scone for bfast. Wow what a pig I am but definitely going back ASAP. Old rock playing in background. Owner friend's father and is super friendly. Go Go and GO!!! read more

Terrible experience here. Food is good, but service is awful. Slow, they don't bring basic things like salt, pepper, utensils, sugar, or cream for coffee without asking. Had to ask multiple times for cream for coffee and it still wasn't brought out until 10-15 later. Everything takes extremely slow. Took forever just to get a drink. Were told there was no fresh pressed OJ- yet the table next to us got some after we asked. Also, they add a "room fee" aka the tip is included in the bill. read more

I cannot say that it was good. I can only say it was excellent. I am a fussbudget about food. And breakfast is one of the hardest meals to accomplish well. However the Beacon bread Company created a meal that was quite perfect. The place is small and cute and the owner s are charming. The price is reasonable, and obviously based on this review, the food is superb. My only critique would be that a certain member of the staff was, how do I say it, surly at best, although our actual server was a delightful young college person. read more

Came here for breakfast and ended up coming back for lunch because it was so good! Friendly quick service, great food! Had the strawberry pancakes for breakfast- a special that they might make a regular menu item, so be sure to ask for it! Had the Caprese sandwich for lunch which was delicious and very fresh. Highly recommend! If you're planning to eat in the restaurant, just sit down (avoid the to-go line) and they will bring menus and place settings. read more

Absolutely delicious sandwich, very good baguette (and I must say I'm French :p). Make me wanna come back and try everything!!

The service here is terrible and the food mediocre. We waited close to 40 mins for the food to arrive and when it arrived, the food was cold so I'm guessing they forgot about our order and it was just sitting there. We ordered the ricotta pancakes and eggs with toast and home fries. The eggs came out alone without any toast or home fries. It was very sad sight of a plate with just two eggs and nothing else. They had ran out of home fries which they neglected to tell us till 40 minutes later, promising to replace it with hash that never arrived. We only got the toast after another 20 minutes of waiting (after flagging down two waitresses and asking it about three times). They also forgot to give us any cutlery so when the food came, we had nothing to eat with and it took another 20 minutes of flagging down two different waitresses to get cutlery. When they did finally gave us cutlery, they decided to take it away from us halfway through our meal so we had to share a fork between two people. Also even worse, we had to pay full price for this meal even though the food took close to an hour to come and some things never arrived at all even (like the hash). What a rip off. Hands down worst service ever. I would suggest avoiding this place. read more

I live about 10 minutes away from beacon and I never travel to beacon for food that much I have no idea why, but I was looking on yelp and I found this place and oh my god it was delicious I had the French toast with there homemade caramel syrup it was to die for, they are not expensive at all for the sizes of the portions! my boyfriend had the huevos ranchero breakfast and he loved it! The servers were super nice and did not hover of us while we were eating! Would recommend to anyone! read more

Me and Friend decided to try them out for breakfast. Now I am not a fan of French toast but their challah French toast is something to salivate over. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is delish, though I wish it was a bigger glass for $3.95. Their Bacon was a Tad salty. But it's Bacon, which is everything. Id definitely recommend this spot to anyone who is craving the breakfast for champions. read more

went in for a simple bec and it was beyond amazing , fresh lemonade was great! watching all the food pass by i need to come back and try some dishes , everything looked so good read more

Very few meals leave me completely satisfied. The Beacon Bread Company did just that. Their Caprese Press with tomato mozzarella basil and balsamic vinegar reduction was perfectly crafted and filled with fresh flavor. Their hand squeezed lemonade was a perfect balance of sour and sweet. Followed by a heavenly cheese danish, I could not have asked for any better. And all at a reasonable price with friendly staff? Definitely a go to destination when visiting Beacon. read more

What an awesome place to eat! Delicious sandwiches and great desserts. There were so many to choose from I wanted them all! I recommend getting the organic cola to drink -the waitress recommended it and it was really tasty. They also have breakfast so I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend this place! read more

My husband and I promise to each eat 1/2 pastry per evening with our iced coffee; somehow we each end up each having a whole piece and craving more!!! Diana and Katie- Kamel and Chef- And yes, your place is "as good as it gets!" read more

So many great things to say about this place! The food is always fresh and, whenever possible, locally sourced. The challah french toast is incredible, as is the pulled pork, blue cheese, and strawberry chipotle sandwich. And the service is fabulous. We go for breakfast just about every weekend, and we don't get there for lunch as often as I wish. If you go for breakfast, get a fresh croissant as an appetizer. And then bring a baguette home for later; it's such a good restaurant, you forget it's also a full-fledged bread bakery! read more

Yummy lunch with great friends at an amazing new restaurant. Food was delicious, atmosphere was very enjoyable & the staff couldn't be more friendly & helpful. read more

My husband and I come here weekly. We love the breakfast burrito and homemade hot sauces. But what I love the most is how homey it feels. If they are super busy (which they always are) I set my own table. No big deal. Thats how you help small business owners who work hard... Kate and her team rocks!!! Love Beacon Bread!!! read more

Feels like home. The best bread which is the star on the menu. Breakfast or lunch you just can't go wrong at this place. The food is always consistent which is important to me. I love the French onion soup and Cesar's salad. The pulled pork and French onion chicken sandwich is amazing. Caramelized onions on a baguette bread. My daughter loves the pancakes and French toast with challah bread. Great staff. Very knowledgable about what's happening in town as well. read more

Great croissants sticky buns, and danishes. The place was packed with locals so I was a little confused in here and the staff wasn't helpful right away. read more

First I just want to say one thing negative about this place. It is a bit hard to find. I'm personally. It from beacon so from the car driving by we couldn't really locate it so we had to stop park and go on foot. I know lazy but when you have a elderly mother with you it's a bit better. Okay other that the place was fantastic. We got in around 1-2 on a Tuesday and it had more than 60% of the tables full with people. That's a good sign. We sit down and see the great display of bread and others goods front and center. We sit down and the waitress shows us the specials of the day. Then tells us that the waffles are out (damn and I saw the chicken and waffle combo too) well we get a roast beef sandwich with Brie and a grilled cheese. Both were excellent; once we inhaled the food we decided we need more of that bread so we bought a peasant bread loaf and two cookies. read more

Overpriced egg and cheese sandwich. Stale bread. 1 slice American cheese melted over a greasy egg. Still put bacon on the sandwich (and charged for it!!) after telling them twice that I wanted no meat. read more

I love coming to this place for breakfast. The food is delicious and it is a cute place to go with a small group of friends. They do not have a big space inside so coming here with a large group is probably not a good idea, especially on a busy weekend. I most recently had the chicken and waffles special which was superb. The gravy they put on top was incredible. They have 2 small picnic tables outside which we were lucky enough to snag. Great people watching during weekends. The wait staff is very sweet but slow. read more

This place is outstanding! Their breads are delicious, the desserts and baked goods are outstanding (and I really don't like desserts) and the staff is super personable and pleasant. The grilled cheese and soup menu is great for a comfort lunch which come on, we all love! Love it. read more

Beacon Bread Company is a nice addition to Beacon's Main Street restaurant options. On my first visit, I sat outside and had a classic grilled cheese and tomato soup and both were delicious! The bread on the grilled cheese was made in house and was sliced thick and grilled to perfection with a perfect ratio of cheddar cheese to match. The tomato soup was very flavorful with big pieces of basil. I will definitely be back for lunch soon to try some of the other sandwiches. read more

Delicious!! Stopped in late on a Saturday afternoon and I walked in with my dog and the lady said they were just closing up, but was gladly helping me! I got a French baguette and it was soooooo good! So fresh, so crisp! It was so worth every penny!! I would love to come back for lunch! Seems to be crowded around 12/1 in the afternoon. I just wish they didn't close so early! Will be back! read more

A solid sandwich, but maybe a lil pricey. Got the classic grilled cheese-cheddar on their sourdough. The bread was super good, the cheese nice and melty, the sammy ultimately cooked just right. But for a two-ingredient food, I'm not sure it should have been a $9 sandwich? read more

Really quaint and charming little brunch spot in the heart of Beacon. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff make for an unforgettable dining experience. All the food is amazing, and you can't beat the fresh squeezed orange juice. Bring your whole family its a great affair. read more

Every time I stop in here the staff is the most friendly in Beacon! Such a pleasure! The scones are delicious! I've done a special order here in the past for baked goods and the ordering process was seamless and the treats delicious. Today after looking all over the Hudson Valley, I finally found mini scone like soda bread and it was AH-MA-ZING!!! The prices are fair as well. Very sweet owner. I can't wait to go back soon!!!! read more

Owner is rude and classless. We waited over 30 min for avocado toast. My daughter got her pancakes and was almost done with them before our toast came out. I inquired as to why we hadn't gotten our food and why people who arrived after us got theirs already she yelled and told me is coming and threw her hands up. Then stomped her feet and huffed and puffed like a child as we were leaving. Servers were very nice but I can't believe how an owner would act towards customers. Not worth it food wise either there are several other places in beacon with mush better food and obviously service. Also she told me to post my comment on yelp. So here you go. read more

Delicious bakery with an affordably simple--yet satisfying--breakfast/lunch menu. Good portions and good service.
