This is the best bread I have ever had in my 39 years on earth. There's nothing that will stop me from eating this. I don't care. It's Life-changing. Also, they can answer questions about bread here. You can learn things. It's amazing. Go at once! read more

My favorite place for brunch. Always packed. Love that mostly everything is cooked in a visible space. Pricey but worth it!

I'm not in Beacon often but when I am this is my go-to place. The food is fresh, sourced locally and prepared with lots of attention to detail. It might not be the fastest "order to table" but it's worth the wait since it tastes homemade. read more

The brioche egg sandwiches convinced us to move from New Haven CT to Beacon. Go before 9 on the weekends. It is quieter and you can get a seat. read more

Despite being told not to come here, I wanted to try this place out for myself with an open mind, and give opportunity to have a positive experience. I like to think accidents are human and that places with a bad yelp rep deserve redemption. I gave a nice tip to start off on a good note, while waiting for my to-go order. They accidentally plated it "for here," which was fine, and I waited patiently while they fixed it. Unfortunately when I got home, the Breakfast Burrito I'd ordered with had nothing inside but eggs- literally (I had asked for no cheese- but not no everything else). I'm disappointed that I had a negative experience because I would have liked to stop in daily before work, but it stinks to feel like you wasted 12 bucks. read more

The breakfast burrito was very good. Excellent coffee and good service. Only minor complaint is that the "hot" sauce was more sweet than hot. And I'm not big on spicy hot sauce. read more

This place is awesome. The service will make you feel at home. The food was delicious. I got the corn beef, but every dish that came out looked like something I wanted to eat. A bonus was the homemade jams and the raspberry butter, and the free cookie when you check-in. One of the best cafes I've been to, and I would definitely come again. read more

This is by far my favorite breakfast in Beacon! Great bread! Great eggs! Great people! Like eating in your kitchen with friends. I'm new to town, often dine alone and always feel comfortable and welcomed! read more

Delicious food, really nice people and a great vibe. Always gotta stop there whenever I'm in town!

Excellent food. I love the lentil soup as well as the harvest gruyere sandwich. The Fontina baguette is also amazing, and the caprese press is delicious. I like to eat them on the harvest grain bread or pain aux cereal bread. My favorite thing to get here is their french toast. IT IS THE BEST FRENCH TOAST IN THE WORLD!!! They make fresh squeezed orange juice, which is perfect with any meal. And the awesome part about this place is they serve breakfast all day long! Definitely a place worth stopping by for breakfast, lunch, a snack, anytime! read more

Excellent breakfast and lunch place in beacon. Theres this one awesome waitress we always get with curly hair who always makes us feel at home. Freshest orange juice in town!! Try the spicy diana!! Ahhhh, love it! read more

Had a wonderful brunch this morning. The curly haired waitress was kind and the most helpful. We can't wait to return!

had traffic court in beacon and am unfamiliar with the area. needed breakfast and saw this place, i had pancakes with hash-browns & my mom had quiche, we both loved our meals. service was excellent, super fast, also super cozy & friendly environment. great place to go. read more

Fun place, delicious food. Their bread is out of this world, really. If it wasn't a 2 hour drive, I'd buy bread here every week. The multi grain bread covered in seeds was so so good. Lots of great choices on the menu too (breakfast and lunch), it was difficult to choose. Our breakfast was terrific and the food at the neighboring tables looked wonderful too. It's a friendly, no fuss place with 8 or so wooden tables with lots of locals coming in to grab a wonderful meal (families, singles, couples). Not sure why the 'no wifi' sign irritated people so much in previous reviews. Who cares; we were there to share a meal, eat delicious and well prepared food. If you want to eat and use wifi, go somewhere else. read more

My mother and law and I took out the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and it was all we could ask for. Would have gotten a 5 had the phone worked and could have placed the order for pickup. Always great when we go for either breakfast or lunch! Must try! read more

After eating bad food at crappy chain restaurants and diners, we were so happy to find this place. I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were so good. The food is mostly made from scratch, and you can really taste the quality. I'd highly recommend it! read more

We've been there 4 times over a year and food was good, but we were not happy with the dirt (floors, display case, etc.) or with the mildly unhappy wait staff. It's as if there were a slight air of continuous hostility floating around...A regular cleaning and lessons in service would do wonders. read more

I'd eaten here before and was always pleased with everything ordered. We were in a rush to eat something portable to stand in line at the DMV down the block. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, bacon, egg and cheese. The bread this sandwich was made with elevated this grab and go breakfast to a heavenly delight. The other ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly. The most I've ever paid for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich, but well worth the money. read more

A friend and I came on a Thursday morning. Food was decent (fruit pancakes, eggs and hash). Coffee seemed to be the burnt bottom of the pot (I enjoy strong coffee but this was not great...should've said something so that's on me). Service was pleasant and friendly. Seating is somewhat limited. I will try again another day. read more

Beacon Bread is amazing!!! I'm a local in the area and get treated like family there. The atmosphere is great, makes you feel warm and at home. The food is excellent and always consistent. Kate and her team really know how to run a restaurant, and kudos to the two chefs who are always so amazing even when it's super busy! read more

LOVE Beacon Bread. Everything is freshly made and you can tell! I go in all the time for their fresh squeezed orange juice! I highly recommend their tofu scramble. I add tomato and spinach and it is amazing. Its nice that they have vegan and vegetarian options. Service is wonderful. The best waitress is caroline. Shes been working there since they opened and you can tell shes a pro. I never get my tofu scramble without a side of smiles read more

Delicious! Everything is so fresh! I had the Reuben. It rivals a NYC deli Reuben . They make their own corned beef and bake their own breads. The people next to us were having soup. Smelled divine. Definitely going to try a bowl next time. The place is adorable with reclaimed wood on the walls and fun staff and owners. Well worth the trip :) read more

Food decent, coffee okay. The owner claimed they had great croissants so we tried one - Dunkin Donuts has better croissants.

Stumbled over to Beacon Bread after a toxic experience across the street at Poppy's - where an hour later we had not eaten and were simply starving. Stood at the counter and mumbled something about wanting just a small sandwich before we drove home and the man said: oh, we're closed. I think I looked like I was going to cry - because then he said: oh ...no...we'll happily make you a sandwich and then reviewed all the choices and we got the most luscious yummy house-cured corned beef on rye with cole slaw and house-made mustard. it was really great and the first stop we make next time we're in Beacon (where we intend to visit a lot) will be this place to sit down and really have a meal. Stephen was charming and smiling (and I think we spoke to the other owner also). loved this place. read more

If you are looking for a food review, I have nothing but positives! Bread was great, sandwiches were great, orange juice was great. The down side , which I didn't really let affect my rating, because the food here was just that good, is that I see that this is the same owner as Tito Santana's and he is speaking to his reviewers in that same nasty way. too bad, if he didn't he would probably get many more customers read more

My experience at this establishment was one of the worst I have ever had in my life. It was Sunday brunch around noon. They first sat three of us at a tiny table for two which lead us to be bumping into each other. I ordered a sandwhich and was told thay they ran out of that bread (which was ironic since they make their bread). We asked to sit at their long table that freed up (they sit multiple parties at) which they obliged but we moved our own stuff. After the meal was over they dropped the check. I got a second cup of coffee and was enjoying my guests. The waitress came over and told us there was a party outside who is cold (it was about 60 out) and that we NEED TO LEAVE. When we brought to her attention that it's not nice to speak to costumers like she said "I DON'T CARE GO YELP ABOUT IT!" We have never been told to leave a restaurant in our lives and we will never NEVER return to a place that clearly does not care about their guests enjoying themselves. read more

Love this place, bread is like butta. I ordered the salmon that was delicious. Loved the coffee and the lady waitress was so nice. Hope we can go back again someday. read more

I just got back from Paris when someone brought me their almond croissants and baguettes... I was delighted to find them as delicious as any I had in France. Looking forward to trying other things from this wonderful shop! Its also great to have another good food place in town that opens at 7am. read more

Even if you just get bread, that's worth the trip. Love the food and the staff here. Grilled cheese on the artisan bread, oh my my my. Staff is always very accommodating for our large family. read more

update: been back two more times, service was extremely slow and the food was bland. had to send back homefries which were still partially frozen. read more

I wish I could be as enthusiastic about this place as others, but my experience was very different. Yesterday my husband I and decided to treat ourselves to breakfast. Having heard that the food was very good at the Beacon Bread Company, we decided to give them a try. We walked in and it was obvious they were very busy so we knew there would be a wait. What we didn't know was that the servers, counter staff, etc. have no idea how to treat customers. We waited and were never greeted or even acknowledged by any staff person. We decided to look over the menu and decide what we wanted prior to being seated,so we could speed up the process a little. 10 minutes went by,then 15,still not even a smile, a nod ,or (God forbid) a greeting of any type. Finally, we left. I have worked in both restaurants and retail and I know that a customer that is ignored is a customer that won't be giving a place their business. The food here may be stellar, but I'll never know because I won't be coming back. read more
