The Western omelette was great but I was finished at 7:30, it took 19 minutes for my server to show up again to get a "to go" container. Yes one other party of 4 showed up at the 10 minute marker that required her to get their drinks and take their orders. She was an aberration of all servers there for 7 days but the food was great. I will look elsewhere for breakfast for the next week. Don't be the single white guy looking for prompt end of meal service. read more

Very pleasant breakfast place, right off A1A. The staff was extremely nice. The ambiance had a 60's feel. The coffee was one of the best we've had in a long time. Great diner in St Augustine Beach! Started out with coffee in old school diner mugs. Good coffee. They kept the cup full until you asked them to stop. I had eggs, their hash browns, and toast. Lori had French toast and hash browns. The hash browns were outstanding and not just plain. They were elevated by some buttery deliciousness inside and crispy on the outside. Yum! Jae was our server and she was awesome! We highly recommend for some great comfort food! Update! We went back here for lunch a couple days later. Our lunch only adds to this glowing review. A absolutely to-die-for Reuben and Patty Melt for each of us. Huge portions. No where near able to eat it. From the moment We walked into this diner I was transported to my NJ days. Red shiny bar stools and seats very 70's vibe. The cleanliness and the delicious smells wafting from the kitchen surrounds you. The coffee is strong, robust and so good. They were out of biscuits. My shrimp & crab Benedict was below average, especially because of a hard English muffin. My companion's fish and chips didn't come with chips, the waitress was more interested in explaining why (she got two sides) than providing chips, when chips came they were potato chips (not English chips), and the waitress was again more interested in explaining why than taking it off the bill (though it got taken off without a fight). My companion's fish was nice though, as was the cole slaw, though the broccoli, my side, and the potato chips were weak. The bathroom was weak: the door didn't seem to lock. The Beachside Diner (true to its name) sits on that main road that runs along St. Augustine Beach. While staying at a hotel down the road, we passed by this diner on a Friday a little past lunch and it was PACKED. Not in an unsafe way but in "WOW, we have to eat here"-type of way. So the next morning, my friend and I planned to watch the sunrise on the beach and walk over to this diner. It opened at 7AM and best believe there was already a small line of people waiting to come in 5 minutes before opening. Let me tell you, this place lived up to the hype! That's coming from a gal who doesn't fancy breakfast. Their menu was extensive and I believe it could truly please anyone. They also have a variety of drinks including spiked coffee. Being on vacation, I decided to get the Spike Latte- iced coffee with kahlua. It was delicious... but a bit dangerous for 7AM. As far as food, I got the Spicy Chicken and Waffle sliders and my friend got the Steak and Eggs. They did have regular chicken and waffles but the sliders just seemed like a great smaller option. They were still pretty large in size, had an herb kick to it, and our amazing waitress, Heidi, brought over some syrup and hot sauce. Service was amazing and fast. She always made sure we were taken care of and everything came out within 10 minutes of ordering. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. There isn't a beachview as it faces the road next to the beach but it was still nice. The inside looked clean and like a great option to dine in with true diner decor. They aren't open too late (only until 3PM) but they do serve breakfast during all operating hours. I will be back if I ever find myself in St. Augustine Beach! read more

We tried to get in yesterday, but it was an hour wait. We had a 2 year old who was hungry, so we went elsewhere. However, this morning we woke up early to beat the rush! We had 5 adults and one child. 2 adults ordered plain Jane egg and pancake breakfast. The other 3 of us had: Chicken Fried Chicken, Meatlovers Omelet, and the Surfer Sara Omelet. The Chicken Fried Chicken looked great and my mom said it tasted just as good. She finished her plate so I'd say it was pretty good! My husband had the meatlovers omelet and he said it was really good. The ingredients were mixed into the eggs and then folded over with the cheese inside. The home fries were good. They were deep fried not skillet cooked. I had the Surfer Sarah omelet. It was so delicious!!! The avocado and goat cheese inside were perfect. It comes as an egg white omelet but I asked for the whole egg. Our little got the Mickey pancake. Fun and Spacious diner near St. John pier. Solid 3.5 so I rounded up. They have a private parking lot and we didn't have to wait for seating on a Monday morning. Service was friendly as well. We collectively tried the fish and grits, shrimp and crab Benedict, and shrimp and crab crepe. They were all pretty tasty for the most part. Most plates were $12-15. We liked that they really packed a lot of seafood in our dishes but the meat was a little dry and the dishes relied heavily on the sauces. If you've had good seafood breakfast fusion before, then this place may feel average in comparison. read more

They are only open for breakfast and lunch, this place was really busy on a Saturday morning, we had to place our name on the list and waited until they send us a text that the table was ready. My wife and I stopped by here as we looked for a late lunch. We both had omelettes. She had the potatoes and I had the hash brown casserole with sides. Forget the food, our server was a beautiful soul who not only tolerated our 2-year-old crazy boy and our 7-year-old chatty Kathy, but made them feel welcome and comfortable. I'm a local that went for the first time since new ownership. Had breakfast this morning. Ordered Hash with 2 eggs over medium, fruit and biscuit. Biscuit and hash was great. Eggs were cooked hard and fruit was on it way out. Service was not good. Only saw server to take order and deliver check. Had to ask her to pick up the check so I could pay.
