Tried this place because it was directly across our hotel and the reviews looked promising. The wait was only about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning for my party of 2. My partner and I placed our order as soon as we were seated (we try to be prepared and always look at the menu ahead of time). The food was delicious and came out so fast. I had the regular eggs Benedict, my partner had the volcano scramble, and we shared the super star pancakes. Although the food was delicious, the service was mediocre. The only time our waiter interacted with us was to take our order and bring out our food. Not once did he check on us to see if we needed anything. I even did the hand thing and tried to call our waiter just to be ignored. I also waited more than 10 minutes for my check. I loved their pancakes enough to come back, but terrible service ranks over one good dish. My husband and I came here after returning from a short vacation. It was a long drive and I didn't want to have to cook. It was pretty crowded there, which was surprising for a Monday morning. The dish guy sat us at a 2-top right by the entrance. We asked him if we could take a different table but he said no. So my husband (kind of a big guy, so a 2-top is quite uncomfortable for him) asked the waitress if we could move, and she said yes. We took a look at their ridiculous menu (too many "specials" that make nothing special). Overpriced. Then we ordered. Over 30 minutes later, I told my husband we should just leave. He asks the waitress how much longer it would be. She says they're still making my pancakes. I asked if anything was ready, and apparently, my husband's omelet had been sitting there. So she brought that out. A good 10 minutes later, out come my pancakes. We waited about 45 minutes for an omelet and pancakes. Next time, we will know better and keep this in mind. read more

Now this is a popular breakfast place! I've been twice and both times I was seated at the breakfast bar. Tables are turned over quick but I didn't feel rushed during my meal. Service is attentive and fast. The menu is quite large so it was hard to choose what to get, and I will be returning soon to explore more options. Food here is good. The service is awful. Wait staff is spread way too thin. They also bring your food to your table at different times. So let's say you order pancakes, eggs and sausage. You will get the sausage, then 10 minutes later your pancakes and 10 minutes later your eggs. So your food is ice cold if you want to eat your breakfast together which is customary at any restaurant. Lastly, their prices sky rocketed over the last few years that they are more than double what they once were. I have no idea how this place stays in business. The food is really good with much variety! I ordered the turkey patty with eggs, hash browns , and side of avocado. Well seasoned food that was tasty for sure. They have so many items on their menu to choose from which is always great. They prices are not quite cheap but the quality is good. They charge you extra if you do want fruit as your side though. The service is decent, I just don't quite like how I don't know who the servers were really because they wear regular street clothes. I got confused at some point on who worked there. However, this could be there way of making the workers feel comfortable at work. The place is quite spacious with outdoor seating and inside. I don't recall too much decor, but it was very packed on a Sunday. Waited for about 15 mins, which was not bad at all. The parking is not bad it's in a lot with many other eateries and much more. The crab cakes were a little dry and not as juicy as I would them to be but overall it was pretty solid! The first time I came here we got the green tea monster pancake to share and I remember it was really good! Maybe I'll stick to the French toast / pancakes next time! There are indoor and outdoor seating. There are a couple parking structures nearby that are free for the first 90 minutes and there are street parking too. We wer party of 12 and got there abt 40 mins early just so they can hav time to set up tables and seat us! After 30 mins they sat us outside in the back! So we've driven by BeaBea's countless times over the years and decided that today was the day to try it. I so wanted to like it and put it into our rotation. The food was fine - not great but not bad. The poached eggs on my eggs Benedict were a bit over cooked, which was disappointing but not a dealbreaker. Service was barely okay. Choices of sides with entrees and extra costs should have been better communicated, and we didn't see our server for a long time after the food was delivered (we were just about finished). We also ordered pancakes to try, as they looked so good at other tables. Unfortunately, he didn't write it down, therefore the order was not entered into the system. We mentioned to him that we never got them and there was no apology or acknowledgement whatsoever. I'm obsessed with the pancakes at Bea Bea's! After deliberating the menu for what seemed to be ages, I got the Pooh's Sunrise since I love savory but also felt the Thai Tea pancakes calling my heart. For the combos, you can "make it special" for $2 more and get the special pancakes vs regular. Thai Tea pancakes were light, sweet and fragrant. I loved the Thai tea cream and regular cream on top. Pouring the maple syrup over each bite was the best part for your ultimate sugar rush. Bacon and eggs were good -- no complaints there. Service overall is fantastic and quick. The cream they add to the top was the icing on the (pan)cake. Because I couldn't decide on what to get (savory vs sweet) I ordered a second entree. His neighborhood Kimmie's in Brea was his go to spot since it was like going to Cheers where everyone knows your name. This time, Yelper Rob B. and I decided to take up Jim W.'s recommendation.  Bea Bea is too busy, crammed, bustling with customers eating then leaving, and others waiting to get in for there to be a Cheers. Noise level is high. Our waitress was friendly but fast and efficient since she had to serve a full room. She made sure our coffee cup stayed full.  The interior is plain, but the breakfast food here tends to be a bit more upscale which shows up in the pricing. Be prepared to pay about $30 for breakfast, endless coffee, tax and 20% tip.  Ordered the Volcano Scramble which may refer to Popocatépetl or Iztaccíhuatl since it had a Mexican touch. Looks like an egg frittata with meaty, moist, almost porky ChickenTequila sausage, canned, mild ortega chile, wussy Jalapeño, soupçon of cilantro, tomato, chiffonade of fried corn tortilla strips, melted mild Cheddar cheese and Mozzarella. quarter of a nicely ripe, buttery avocado.  The side of warm Tomatillo salsa had a thyme-like herbiness and a slight kick of piquant green chiles which also had a touch of vinegar gastric to awaken flavours in the scramble.  The hash brown potatoes were disappointing...dry, underfried, mostly not satisfyingly crispy like at greasy spoons where a good amount of oil on the grill guarantees a golden brown, crunchy outer layer with moister, potatoey inside. I think Bea Bea wants a more "healthful" approach by not using too much oil, but ended up creating "undeliciousness".  Toast of choice was wheat, which was not artisanal bread with a selection of honey, standard Smucker's strawberry, blackberry, grape, orange jams.  Coffee here is richer, touch more burnt bitter, astringent, acidic to clear the palate.   4- stars read more

Not because of the ice cream on top.....it just didn't seem freshly made. No outer crisp and kinda had a stale interior. House latte: like the flambé'd banana pieces, this drink also had a lot of steam coming off of it.....so much that the drink had some slight taste of scorched coffee beans? I don't think this was intentional lol. Besides that though, it was an okay creamy latte. Overall I can see this place being a top no-fuss breakfast spot choice in the area especially for large groups because of the huge variety of items on the menu. Visiting friends in Burbank and couldn't have dreamed of a better breakfast spot. This is our 2nd time here and just as delicious as we remembered. Always busy but they are quick getting everyone seated. We always enjoy a plate of pancakes to share with the table and with the portions they give there is always enough to share and take home. The matcha is moist and delicious with or without syrup or sauce. Their scrambles have plenty of meat with crispy delicious potatoes. Came here on a Sunday at 9am and it was bustling. Luckily it was only me and a friend, so a table for 2 was wide open. The menu is extensive and there were an overwhelming amount of options to choose from. At first I thought the prices were excessive, but the portions are generous. I ended up sharing the Sweet Heart waffles and it came with four squares topped with strawberries, banana, and macadamia nuts. The waffles were perfectly crisp with a good chew.
