Mad Priest Coffee Roasters - The Confessional

Disappointed. I've had MP coffee before and thought it was good, but i just had what the barista…read moresaid was a medium\light roast which was really a dark roast. It was bitter without the brightness one would expect from a medium\light roast. I also had a chocolate chip muffin which was very gooey and sticky as if it were underbaked. The taste was okay, but the texture ruined it for me. They do have good customer service.

I absolutely adored this place…read more Drinks - I had the chance to try two different drinks on this visit. The first was an iced matcha with a little added blackberry. It was really smooth and a very nice quality. The second drink was an iced latte from their specialty menu that had been renamed for a special event I was attending. I loved the flavor of the coffee, so much so that I grabbed some of their beans to take home as well. Merch - There was a great selection of merch from the company and local artisans as well. The stickers and mucus has some really cool designs. Staff - the baristas were some of the nicest people. Not only were they slinging drinks and working the event, but they were just amazingly personable and kind to all of our group. Location - most importantly though was the stunning location. The furniture, decor, vibe and even the commitment to theme through the bathrooms was everything. Even the confessionals booth was just perfect. Overall it is definitely a visit, and I will be back.

I was hesitant when we arrived, seeing a line out the door and around the corner. However that line moved so fasts Nied did amazing getting people in and out. They had a huge selection of merch that was themed perfect to their mission and goals. The "We're all bread inside" design was probably my favorite. For meals, I got the Niedlov's Breakfast and my friend got the Ham and Gruyère Skillet. I loved what I got, but when I go again I think I will try a skillet because they all smelled amazing! I also got a Gruyère Bacon Chive Scone and a Orange Pan Suisse to take on the road. Both were outstanding. For my drink, I got one of their Blueberry Basil Matcha. I was a little nervous about the basil, but I can genuinely say it was my favorite drink of my entire trip. Lastly I want to say a special thank you to the staff. We thought we weren't going to be able to find a table, but when we found one at the last second, they actually offered to switch my meal to a skillet since they can't do those to go. Absolutely a five star experience and I am already anticipating my next visit.

That was so good, I went back the second day and ate in. That day I tried their breakfast plate, and that was excellent. High praise for the bacon, which comes from the butcher shop next door. The fried potatoes were also great! I opted for their sourdough toast, and enjoyed it so much I got a loaf to take home when I left. Their coffee drinks are very good - I enjoyed my latte both days. Service was very prompt - you order at the counter and they will bring food to your table. I was there mid-morning on a Friday, and it was packed! It's a really nice vibe, with an outdoor patio and the indoor seating area. After eating here, I can understand why they were nominated for a James Beard award. If you are ever in Chattanooga, this is worth the effort! 5/5, would absolutely go back!

The biscuit was very good and there was a big piece of egg and lots of cheese. I'll admit I burnt my mouth eating it too fast. I thought the price was high but comparable to costs these days and yummy enough to be worth it. It also took quite awhile to be made. I got the Self Portrait, which was delicious and worth the visit by itself. Just the right amount of sweetness. My gf got the St. Tropez pastry, which she didn't love. She said the cream inside was cold and disappointing. I ended up stopping back in after going to the art museum because I really wanted to try a croissant (I meant to order it for my breakfast sandwich, but apparently my brain was on biscuit). It was VERY crowded and the line moved slowly. They were telling people ahead of me that it would be 30+ minutes for anything from the kitchen. The croissant was good, nothing special though.

Orders are placed at the counter and then your food is brought to your table. Service is prompt and friendly. Rembrandt's is located in the heart of the arts district and you can browse museums and galleries after lunch. We both had the tomato artichoke soup and it was the best tomato soup I've ever had. The soup had plenty of basil and the artichokes added a nice twist. The bowls are huge and the portion is large, plenty enough for lunch. It's served with a soft roll and all their bread is baked in-house. The pastries are incredibly delicious as well!

I was the only customer when I walked in this morning, so I certainly got a lot of friendly attention. I opted to try their seasonal Apple Crumble Latte with a request to reduce the overall sweetness, it worked, there are some very distinctive flavor combinations here, and it was nice and hot. Mugs are not an option here, so I won't take off on that. This is a small store with very limited seating so I suspect this will impact the ability of TT to become the hangout that some of their competitors have, which I believe will also impact the customer type they will attract.

This place is right off the main roadway in downtown Chattanooga, making it super easy to stop in if you're exploring all the attractions around it. It is small with limited seating, which looked to be filled with regulars/climbers, so be ready to take the drink to go. My caramel latte was a bit in the pricier side, but it was amazing! The whole milk added a good richness to the drink, and you could tell it was a real caramel sauce they used, not some cheap syrup. On top of all that, the flavors were still balanced enough that you could taste the espresso. I cannot vouch for the food here, but if I came back to visit this town, this coffee shop would be one of my first stops.

I ordered an iced Milk & Honey Latte with oat milk. I was also surprised to see an assortment of wraps and sandwiches by the counter. So I picked up a Chicken Salad sandwich. I loved my sandwich, it was so delicious. One thing about me, I love a good chicken salad sandwich and I was satisfied. My latte was tasty too. The oat milk was creamy, it complemented the espresso well. It was a little sweeter than I would like, and it got better for me after getting watered down a bit. But that's just my preference. I'm sure that if I were to order another drink again, I could just ask for less sweetener. There's many places to sit: there's an upstairs area, a separate room with so many seating options, high tables and chairs, etc. It felt like there were more people who were studying and working rather than chatting. So we were trying to be mindful and not talk super loud. Also they have a free parking lot right outside which was great. So there's a school right across the street from the cafe. At the time my friend and I left the cafe, there were a bunch of students walking after their school day ended I presume. But when I was trying to leave, there were parents who would park in the parking lot (not in a parking space) and block a couple cars while waiting for their kids to get out. So it took me a good 10-15 minutes for me to leave my space and get out of the parking lot because of the car parked right in front of me. That's just one thing to keep in mind if you visit. I really enjoyed this place, I'd definitely visit again. It's a 4.5/5 for me. Next time I'd definitely come early and leave early so leaving the parking lot won't be as difficult or time consuming.

My friends and I were always lucky to snag a table for us those times. But coming in the morning is really pleasant. I've only gotten coffee here in the past, so this time we got food. I got a Pistachio Croffin (croissant muffin) and we shared a Berries and Cream crepe. And that first bite of that crepe was absolutely delicious. We were planning on sharing that crepe with another friend, but that crepe was so good we demolished it haha. We ended up ordering the Spinach Pesto crepe to share for later instead. But wow, I have nothing but praise for these crepes because they blew me away. The Berries and Cream crepe was just amazing. Fruits tasted fresh and juicy. The crepe itself was perfectly sweet. And the whipped cream cheese filling inside was light and creamy. I couldn't ask for more in a fruit crepe. Also the light drizzle of sweetened condensed milk on top? Chef's kiss. And then we tried the Spinach and Pesto crepe. It had all my favorite things inside, so of course I loved it. I loved the savory pesto spread inside the crepe, the spinach, ricotta, and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The tomatoes added a nice acidity to balance and the balsalmic glaze tied it all together on top. It felt like applause roared in my mouth. Also I can't forget the Pistachio Croffin I ate too. It had great texture, and had that subtle nutty flavor from the pistachio. I really liked it. Anyways, I'm a big Morning Brew fan. It's poppin' in the afternoon and it's tough getting a seat, but it's not hard to see why. I prefer the early mornings for a more quiet and less chaotic atmosphere. Love you morning brew! I will always remember how those crepes rocked my world and I'll definitely be back.
