This place is fantastic! Great aesthetic, chill vibes, and of course, lots of sweet kitties who are all available for adoption! Definitely check it out but make sure you book in advance cause they fill up fast!

The sweetest cat Luna who spent a lot of time on our laps!

Not a strip club, just a totally awesome cat cafe and one of the highlights of our trip to Cattanooga! The two owners are the only staff and work 70+ hours/week to ensure almost 50 adorable, adoptable cats have a great foster experience. There are two huge rooms full of cats, cat sleeping spots, hilarious cat decorations, and good vibes. All of the cats were super friendly and funny and love to come up to you and get pets :) I cannot recommend this experience enough! It is so worth the price (100% of the entrance fee goes to the cats!), I just wish we could have stayed there all day. It's really important that you book at least a few days in advance, they don't really do walk ins because it's so busy all the time. There's a little bit of parking out front, but be a little early to make sure you get a spot. The ticket also includes a free soda/coffee/tea, and they have adorable stickers and merch for purchase. All in all, a great experience and definitely worth a visit!!

I am not an early adopter on the cat cafe phenomenon, which seems relatively recent to me. I like cats, and my lifestyle makes pet ownership challenging, but the idea of literally just paying to sit in a room with cats still sounds silly to me. This place delivers about as much as you could expect on the concept. Making a reservation in advance was wise, as they were sold out for the day when I actually arrived. The facility was certainly set up in a way that most cats would appreciate, with doors leading to a private litter box area for those cats that don't want the spotlight, multi-tiered beds, cozy cupboards, and plenty of toys. A room was set aside for new cats still accommodating to the setting, which you could go into; the place is clearly meant to acculturate potential adoptees. Of course, cats will be fickle, and some of them preferred not to be petted, but when we humans were provided with cups of treats about halfway through the allotted time, a lot of the sourpusses suddenly decided they were interested in human contact. This also means that the amount of feeding is reasonably controlled; it was only a few treats at a time and the cats were not . A beverage was included, with the option to purchase food (food for humans, that is). As such, I felt they pretty much maximized what they set out to do here.

This place is amazing. So many cats to hang with. Very clean and organized. I loved the different rooms. My only issue was there were a few cats who were just not nice. They would scratch and swat unprovoked. It seemed they did it to everyone so I'd guess maybe the owners knew they were a bit feisty. No was injured and I felt safe, but their claws were very long and maybe they needed a break? Most were sweet and friendly. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Wish I lived in the area. A very calming and soothing place.

Been here twice n always love getting to pet alllllll the kitties! Staff is always amazing n the cats are always entertaining! When I first seen this place I laughed so hard at their signs in front n giggle every time I pass it. I LOVE that they have binders with the cats n details of them. They show they really care about their cats na who they go to. I wanna adopt so many of them but my only cat is a drama queen n won't like it. Maybe I can drop her off to learn how to play with others I added the Cat Cafe to my binder of must check out places when I meet fellow travelers Those who wrote bad reviews...yes they have a limit number allowed (book a ticket like their site says then), yes there is a cover fee (tho $15 does suck for me ), yes the cats are gonna be cats n sometimes fight n it's not their fault if you can't adopt em either.

OMG, such a cute cafe with adorable kitties! We were touring Chattanooga and came across an advertisement for this place. Since we had some time to kill before dinner, we made a reservation to check out the cafe. I love how friendly the staff was and surprisingly, the place was squeaky clean. There were more than 30 cats in the room that were up for adoption, and most of them were so playful! Staff gave us some cat snacks and that really got many of them to actually want to hang out with me! On the coffee table, there is a booklet featuring all the cats from the cafe and what their personalities are like. If I didn't already have two cats of my own, I would've adopted one of them!

As a fan of cats and cat cafes, I'd have to say that for sure, Naughty Cat Cafe is a 5 star experience! I happened to be in Chattanooga doing touristy things and spy a billboard for Naughty Cat Cafe at the base of Lookout Mountain. And it claims 32 cats onsite, wow! I've got some time to kill so I sign up for a 2pm session (hour-long for about $16 with taxes) online. Heading on over to Naughty Cat Cafe, it sits in a small plaza and I have no idea what to expect. I'm running late and get greeted by the lady up front and check in with her. She offers me a complimentary soft drink, there are also adult bevvies available for a price. AND she tells me there are FORTY-TWO cats for your petting pleasure. I'm guessing because it's kitten season right now and most shelters are full. The front retail area is pretty cool with all sorts of knick-knacks and cat-focused products. Heading to the back room, you step into a chillaxing living room type area with stuffed couches, chairs, cat tree and even an aquarium. It's calm and dimly lit, a very relaxing space and I spy a couple taking a nap with the kitties. The decor is very nicely done and in tip-top shape. Head to the right and there's a second section that is the sun room. Light, bright and warmer for the kittehs. And overall, these cats are all pretty friendly and chill with each other. I had one hop into my lap pretty quickly and the little cup of cat treats caught their attention. There were about 10 or 12 other cat aficionados in while I was visiting but people spread out and it doesn't feel that busy. Overall I was super impressed with their setup and number of cats they had onsite. And I checked their social feed and apparently they have had over 1,000 cats adopted, cool. So if you're in the area and enjoy felines, Naughty Cat Cafe is a must-do in my opinion. Just make sure you register early enough to get the time slot you need and get your hands ready for some kitty love!

Adorable!! Has a middle eastern vibe. They offer coffee, soda, alcohol, & bakery. $15 donation to enter. 43 cats to love on. Very sweet staff. Loved the experience!

Is this heaven?? I had heard about this place and thankfully was in town and made a reservation. I was lucky enough to meet the owners who were pretty impressive on their research on being successful running such a fabulous place. The cost is $17 plus tax which totals $20 for an hour visit. You can fix a coffee, have a soda or water and enjoy the beautiful cats. There are several rooms and they are immaculately clean! They make use of recycled furniture and use creative ways to incorporate cat beds for all the sweet babies. They have a designated area for those who are stressed when joining this community so they may have time to adjust. It is such a wonderful feeling when you sit down and these sweet angles come to great you and sit in your lap. All the cats are available for adoption and are benefiting so much from such a safe place to learn to be a cat again. The lobby has adorable cat themed swag from jewelry, mugs, socks, and stickers. I would suggest supporting this wonderful fostering home and help socialize these beautiful cats. You may fall in love!

    Cute brownies

Clean smell, nice aesthetics, Calm atmosphere and soothing decor. There were plenty of cats and plenty of toys to play with them. The cats were able to get away when they wanted to and generally seemed unconcerned. There isn't much food due to health concerns but what is there taste good and charming. No young children allowed out of concern for the cats, great place to visit and relax with some sweet little kitties.

Brought my wife here as a surprise and she had the best time ever! The ambiance is amazing and the cats are super friendly! Grab a free mug of coffee while you're there and chill on the couch while many come to you to say hello.

McKamey, which is actually the city animal control and shelter facility, is taxpayer supported as well as through all levels of contribution and promotion. The facility is a highly impressive one on a large tract of land but you can't always judge a book by the cover. The shelter has always been under scrutiny for a number of very unattractive reasons, especially when it's function is to care for, house and place animals into qualifying homes. Qualifying is based largely on what potential adopters write on their forms. No one From the shelter visits the homes of potential adopter to make sure the conditions are good for the welfare of the animal. Once you get beyond the highly questionable events and administrative stains, you can move ahead to SAVE a homeless animal and feel very good about that. Having given you a heads up about the shameful aspect, I will tell you that the majority of the volunteers who do the work and connect with the animals are dedicated, conscientious and caring. I suggest all adopters chose a vet before adoption and have your pet received a complete physical so there are no surprised that can be life-threatening or more expensive than your budget. Adopting an animal is a life long decision and you should start out knowing your pet's medical condition. I can tell you that the shelter is always at capacity with great animals that want warm, inviting and loving homes. I was lucky to have been told that before I could take my dog home, she would have to be held to treat her for heart worms. The shelter bears the cost which in my case, took about four months Always do due diligence on any shelter and ask if they have a no kill policy that is a part of their registration with the city, county and state

I wanted to adopt long hair kittens and when I found a pair of long hair siblings on their site, I clicked on their "Adopt Me" buttons. I filled out the 2 page application online and went through their phone interview on Friday. I had to get certificates to prove my other pets are current on their vaccinations. Finally I set an in-person appointment for Monday. (They only take appointments and no public walk-ins at this time.) I called on Saturday to confirm my appointment for Monday which was scheduled for noon, which is the time they open. When I spoke with their employee they, once again, verified my information and then told me that the siblings I applied to adopt had just gone home together with their new family. They offered to let me come over on Monday to see who else might be available. Why did my applications ask for the names of the kittens I wanted to adopt if they weren't planning to hold them at least through my appointment time? How does this happen when they're "by appointment only"? Was anyone going to call and let me know before I drove 80 miles on Monday? (When I asked this question, she said they would not have called.) It makes no sense. There should be a disclaimer on the website saying that confirmed appointments and specific pet applications do not guarantee you'll receive the pet/s you're applying for. So--Beware. When you click "adopt ME" , you're really just going through hoops to be approved for an appointment to adopt from that particular days available pets. It's a classic "bait and switch." I'm sure there are plenty of fantastic pets available, but I researched, clicked "adopt ME", and entered their names on the application for a pair of brothers because they were the ones I wanted to adopt. I wish they were more upfront regarding this practice- in this age of technology, it should not be difficult to place a "pending adoption"notice in the pet's file. It takes effort to get to the appointment setting stage so it doesn't seem there'd be a lot of people getting approved and then skipping their adoption appointments.
