A decent bbq if you are near the town of Gilroy! We drove by and decided to have a stop before heading back to SJ. My favorite items are the ribs and coleslaw. Ribs are tender and with plenty cartilage. Coleslaw is refreshing and not too heavy unlike some places who are heavy on dressing. We also tried the tri-tip and the burnt ends. Burnt ends to me is a bit too sweet for me as compared to other bbq burnt ends. I probably wouldn't get it again. Corn bread is also dry, but garlic bread is good! I think this place has really good pricing - these two dishes after tax and tip were about $45. I tried the mac and cheese with brisket and my husband got the trip-tip meal with mac and cheese and potato salad sides. Plenty of parking and seating at this spot in Gilroy. I thought the meat would be served like the sandwiches where you can apply your own sauce, or none if you don't like bbq sauce, but the meat was chopped and mixed in with a heavy handed amount of sauce so you could not avoid it. The brisket here is pretty good! The cuts I got were pretty lean, but not dry. Well seasoned and I loved the barbeque sauce options too. Not too sweet. I definitely recommend pairing it with the potato salad! Really tasty. Tastes homemade even. I definitely want to come back and try a rack of ribs or some dessert next time I'm in town. No flavor, Smokey flavor I felt like I was eating chili beans from the can I didn't even finish it and left it there Lastly the pork ribs, these would get a 2 and that would be only because of the sauce. I initially asked the cashier if the ribs fell of the bone and she said "oh yes" so that was the determination between ribs and pulled pork (I wish I would have gotten the pork) the ribs in fact did not fall off the ribs but were a good texture. To finish it off I also got "cornbread" it tasted like bread from the toaster but they gave me some honey so it them became toasted hunny bread which wasn't the end of world. They ran out of burnt ends again errrrrrre so mad I still can't get any.
