I lam glad that I tried this place- it has been on my radar for a while now. The vibe is great as there are 8 or so tv's spread out throughout the dining room for your viewing pleasure. There is also a pool table and few arcade games! The menu is extensive with plenty of traditional bar food options and some Irish staples. Everything sounded delicious, but I opted for the Pop"s Pub burger. I figured that would be a good starting point to get a feel of how good the food is. The burger was good, but not $21.00 good. The fries were tasty ,and I really enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The burger itself came with lettuce , tomato and a house sauce (thousand island blend). The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check. read more

The food here is really good, and the service is pretty good. We went on a super busy night so that was part of it, but once they took our order the food came out very quickly. My only complaint is the acoustics, they had a really good singer but it was so loud you could barely hear the people next to you. We ordered a burger and a Cobb salad, both were excellent made with fresh ingredients and very large portions. I would come here again. read more

What a great spot! We had planned to stop here for dinner but plans changed and we wound up here for lunch. My daughter enjoyed her spaghetti and is typically pretty picky. My son had a massive burger that he kept talking about the rest of the day. My wife and I both got the pub steak entrees, which were cooked perfectly. Found this spot after a trip to Gilroy Gardens. We were intrigued by the kids menu. Being a mom I have to be aware of restaurants that are kid friendly. We came as a bigger group and they were able to accommodate us. Staff was very friendly and fix a salda dressing error right away. I got the shepards pot pie. I was in heaven. They used a blend of ground beef and chorizo and it was so flavorful. My husband got a burger and it was massive. He didn't have any leftovers. Someone in my group got the chicken tortilla soup and i wished I had a bowl to myself. I love that this spot was a great mix of American, Irish and Mexican foods. We stopped by there after a berry picking in gilroy, the shop and staff are decent. It's very American old-styled sports bar. Brunch was available Sunday until around noon. I ordered avocado toast, the portion was big, over easy egg, potato, bacon, veggies. However the avocado was not from a spread, just sliced avocados. Food was good. Service was friendly. Casual atmosphere. Walked in at 7:00 on a Friday night and they seated our party of 7 almost immediately. The beer was cold! :) The food is a bit different from most pub fare, as they've put their own spin on classic dishes. Melted cheese on top of a shepherds pie and servered with garlic bread (we'll... It's Gilroy). The fish and chips seemed to be panko breaded. All of it was very good, but still atypical of you classic Irish and British pub food. Tried this place for the second time and I loved it both times. Both times the services were excellent. The server was helpful and extremely efficient. It was busy however we were seated right away without reservation. There is a pool table and full bar, very chill vibes. The whiskey burger was super flavorful and delicious, very big as well. The drinks were also 10/10. My friend tried the michelada and said it was one of the best ones she had. The menu consisted of more than burgers, there were daily specials and pasta options. Honestly had a bad experience today. Came with one of my friends to get some food, and while the food was excellent I can't say the same for the service. Didn't get a refill, my waitress only checked on us to actually order the food, then didn't come until we're both done with our drinks. A different waitress had to give my friend a Refill. As we ask for the receipt, we're sitting there waiting because I know that's how it usually is, but having us wait 15+ minutes after you give the receipt? Although this place has a bar vibe, still feels like a family friendly place to grab a bit to eat. When we walked in, we already saw a few families seated. Service was warm and fairly quick. We were asked if there was anything we wanted to drink as we were seated and handed menus. We went with the garlic butter wings, caesar salad, pops pub burger, and a mojito and a sabrina's sancho for drinks. The wings were crispy, though perhaps just a wee bit oily, the caesar salad felt like it went for days, and the burger was so filling, messy, and cooked to the right temperature. Their drink menu was fun and hard to choose! I liked sabrina's sancho, but it was a little too sweet. I think if I added just a bit more alcohol to it, it would have hit the spot. Came in last night on our way to Monterey. Oh my goodness! Service was fantastic- thank you Christian! He was hustling the entire time, was quick with refills (unprompted), knew the menu well, and was very sociable. He would chat a bit with each table, but kept it light and quick so no table felt left unattended. The food was AH-mazing. The hubs got a burger and I got the chicken Alfredo pasta. What makes Pop's Public House so incredible? The Staff! No matter how busy they are, the staff takes the time to greet you & help you order. We had great service from "tall" Taylor - she was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations for our food and drinks. Especially yummy were the fried pickles, chicken tortilla soup, and wings. The great selection of beer kept us drinking along with the bad & boozie sangria. Great spot to watch a game and have some great beer, when a brew house has a Pliny tap you know they are doing something right! Came in for the national championship a few weeks ago and had a great experience, they were packed so Service was slow to start but they can't be faulted for that, it was excellent moving forward. The sauce it came with complimented it perfectly. For my entree, I ordered the spicy J burger with fries as I saw it's one of the more popular options. The salad it came with didn't have much dressing unfortunately so I felt like I was just eating leaves. I should've asked for more dressing. Let me tell you, I was only able to eat half of it as it was so filling in addition to the appetizer. I didn't think it would actually be very spicy, but boy was I wrong! My lips were hot haha!
